DIY Dust Collection Hood. While keeping it simple

  • I've been working on improving my dust collection in my shop and I decided that it was time to attack the worst offender in the shop, my chop saw.
    it makes such a mess that I don't even use it. so I made a quick dust hood out of an old cardboard box and some duct tape. I'd say it contained about 90-95% of the dust generated. which is a huge improvement.
    here is some links for dust hoods I've found for purchase that look decent. but they aren't cheap.

    Thank you for this video. As some one with little to no budget to use towards shop projects the thought of wasting plywood haunts me. One thing i have a never ending supply of is card board and duct tape. You are an ispiratio
