I think affirmation decks for kids is something we should have more of in the future, if I have ever have more children I would love to use that as a way to teach them an open and self-loving mindset from an early age :)

Thanks so much for this video, and happy birthday! I've recently been looking for tarot decks that are suitable for children and didn't find many helpful videos. I agree about nature/animal decks being good options! In my search, I came across the Tarot for Kids deck by Theresa Reed which I really like. My daughter was also interested in Cat Tarot and Cat's Eye Tarot but ended up choosing Ambi Sun's Orien's Tarot that's just been picked up by Rockpool publishing so we've got it on order.

I also forgot to mention The Spacious Tarot by Carrie Mallon & Annie Ruygt - it's incredible both in terms of it's stunning nature visuals but also the actual space it gives the reader to put themselves in the cards, with no people and only a few animals. My Spacious Tarot just arrived so it reminded me to share it here as I think it's a great option for kids!

Thank you so much for posting this. So helpful. Always looking for something my 5 yr old nephew can use. I ended up picking up both the magical dogs tarot and mystical cats tarot as far as tarot. Therapets by Kate Allen may also be a good option only drawback is their size but could be easily done in a pocker edition. A learner lenormand deck might also be fun too. Its got numbers and minor arcana tarot can be applied to it. Ive seen a few pg ones. Same with the fin de siecle kipper decks. Also the beast mistress oracle by vickie verlie is amazing too. That one can be found through her rock n roll prophetess YT channel or her website. Also stacey demarcos halloween is surprisingly good more so for maybe 4th through teen but could remove a few cards for younger than that. The deck actually teachrs to face our fears as well as trust in our own beings so its a good beginner shadow work deck. Im no longer terrified of the spider card after using it as that was one of my fears. I just needed to remove it at first until i felt ready. Another great deck that could be a great pocket edition for sure. Im also a big fan of the legendary ladies deck by ann shen. Its super simple and you could write the gist of the 2 sentence meaning in the cards too. The imagery also so adorable. We need a male counterpart to that deck for sure. I used that deck to help me guide througg balancing my yin energt and do some tangible healing options as well. I have deck reviews on my channel of these if you wanna see the whole shebang (18+ fyi) 😊❤❤❤

Rachel absolutely believe in your own magic, that’s why it’s one of our favourites I love it for that. I’ve opened tarot for all ages and that has diversity in it where people are depicted so super pleased about that. The radleigh Valentine are tokenistic at best as really are the Lucy cavendish oracles…. The best of these is oracle of the shape shifters which is has about 5 cards with diversity….so not enough. The Angel cards for children the art style is such that it’s kind of not easy to tell either way and the fairy tale tarot is disappointingly devoid of diversity. Out of the animal decks the divine Animals oracle is the only one with people in as well and that’s diverse. And the Frida deck is just all Frida. I speeded the card flip filming up to hopefully give you a bigger feel of each deck but I absolutely hope that this helps a bit too. I’m always looking for more diverse decks so as I find any I can share them here too to add to the resource. It shouldn’t be so hard for us to be able to track down diverse decks…. The seasons of the witch Yule oracle addressed it which was fantastic to see and I hope that it gets better and better from now. I remember I cried in my deck flip through of believe in your own magic seeing a child in it with a disability as my disabled child never sees herself, I fist pump the air when I find a deck that represents her and as for skin colour diversity it should really not be an effort to get beyond tokenism. Not sure what age group but there are quite a few melanin friendly decks out there many support DIY black community as well. Realest Oracle, the black goddess within oracle, messages from the ancestors oracle in etsy, afro Brazilian tarot, new orleans oracle (so love this deck use it all the time and have a deck review up and tons of readings using it. And so many more. Of course any Egyptian tarot or oracle or native or what have you as well. But I would most def see if you can find deck reviews with flip throughs so you know what's in each of these boxes 😊❤❤❤❤
