Bri , one of the owners of the apple orchard we purchase our apples from each year , gave us the tip of storing apples in the fridge . Believe it or not ~ she said to store them in the plastic grocery bags like some of yours are stored . She said it gives them the humidity they need , without them molding .
That is the same advice I got from my apple grower.
When it is not a cold winter day with sickness you will remember the good things the farm brings. People keep farm spaces for many good reasons. ❤
It’s really more of where is the best area for us to live in. We have made a life in the town we live in now. We are over an hour closer to family. We see our parents and siblings and cousins weekly rather than every few months, we have access to a lot more fellowship and community as well as our teenager has made some very good friendships that are deeply important to her. There is a lot to consider. We would love to be farming again but are not sure yet where we will be living and if we will continue putting roots down in this area or moving back to our old farm. We are trusting that God will make it clear what is the best decision for our children and our family overall.

I wish I would have had RUclips volgs when my twins were little. I felt like a horrible mom and wife because my house would get messy and I would get so overwhelmed. Everyone tried to make it seem like their life and house were perfect so I felt alone in the battle per see. Anyway, thank you for sharing and being real, Im sure it is helping someone.
Thank goodness your all on road to recovery ,recovery is the word I made a delicious Thanksgiving and that Sat afew days after Turkey day. I develope horrible abdominal pains I go to ER and cat scan results showed a small bowel obstrustion the NG tube was horrible I was just released this past Tues,Praise God. Im slowly getting back to watch videos.
Sorry your family has been sick but glad you are on the road to recovery. I am a Nana also. ❤ I was leaving my 2-year-old grandson's house the other day and told him I needed a hug goodbye, he hugged me and then as I started to walk away he said, "But I want to give you a kiss too!"

Bri, we're the same. Clutter drives me insane and right now mines cluttered due to my daughter starting a soap business. She bought her one of those sheds for her business making place, but having to do the work in the inside as she can so shelves and shelves of stuff in the house. Soooo much clutter. I get to where I can't function. I get it! Man do I get it! Praying everyone gets better and no one else gets sick! THANKING God you didn't get it!!!!

I have been eating a carnivore diet since March 2023 and my body pain is gone! It's amazing. Zero inflammation.
Maybe I'll have to try out that medical diet. Similar symptoms, similar changes in my diet but I haven't eliminated sugar or dairy yet. My sister went on the carnivore diet and successfully conceived twins! After years of infertility.

He has been offered help many many many times. No one has punished him. Ever.
@@Brifromscratch-I think people meant Art punishes himself by having high expectations and beating himself up when things become overwhelming. So often men just don’t have the proper coping skills when life gets hairy. Blessed be!

The not so "good apples" make great apple sauce. We let them go a bit purposely to sauce then no need to add sugar.

You guys should buy the largest double wide you can find and put it on the farm! Having the family there in an adequate and functional environment is so important. Forget about the house, tear it down and if you can rebuild later then you can.

..a small piece of friendly advice...for y'all's apples stored in the fridge, please use paper bags as opposed to plastic..as plastic will accelerate the decomposition..because it traps the ethylene gases

So happy about your Mom. I did the same thing almost 4 years ago and the health problems I was having went away. I now only eat meat, eggs, and a few very low carb green vegetable’s.
I know what you mean about the struggle of letting go. It’s hard. I’ve begun to learn I have to let go and step back so I can start over. Then and only then will I be able to go forward. Sometimes only half a step at a time

I have been experimenting with carnivore for a month back and forth. I definitely believe in it and just need to get past the holidays to stay consistent and by the next holidays I will hopefully have more willpower and everything. 🤣 years of habits are hard to break! Glad she has done well!
Chop the apples to get the seeds out put them in bags and you can freeze them just like that for pies. Cabbage Vermont in bottles.
I will pray that you have wisdom for decisions about the farm, etc! Also for complete healing for all!

Glad to hear your Mom is doing better. I’m excited to hear that. I started a carnivore diet 2weeks ago and I can already tell with my arthritis pain. The more I hear about processed food it makes me sick. I have a lot of family members that I would love to have on this diet so I’m hopping to set an example. Merry Christmas❤

It was nice to see you guys on RUclips again. I miss you when I don’t see you and I worry. You’re a wonderful family with wonderful children. I came from a large family of 12 children and we are still very close though. Sadly, we have lost Three siblings…. To cancer, and both of our parents. I will be praying that everyone is well soon. It was nice to see your mom on this video and that she could come and help you get organized. It is always nicer to get jobs such as organization done when you have someone to help you. I need a sister to come and help me with some projects before I can put out decorations, especially as I myself have not felt very good the last two weeks… The weather change has had me down. I just need you to catch up on some paperwork as well and some thank you notes and cards. Please take care of yourself… All of you especially the adults because if you’re ill, then the children don’t have you to take care of them. I had a 10month long chronic fatigue flare,was all but bedbound,ive had it on and off for years,2 months on carnivore ( still with dairy for me as i struggle with too much meat fat to eat) ..im pain free and getting so much done in a day..i dont stick to it all the time as am part of a family of 5 who like a mixed diet,but anytime i start to feel symptoms im back on it for a time..works for me. Even when not fully carni i eat predominately meat,eggs and dairy,very little carbs,just a few potatoes and veggies..i dont do sugar except in fruit which i dont have daily,but do love!

About that laundry organization ..... 'this the season of a lot of empty, cardboard boxes. I could see a row of 3 to 5 cardboard boxes with about an 14"-24" base and a good 30" (or higher) tall sides to use as dirty laundry hampers. Cardboard boxes are free to obtain and free to get rid of. They would give you an opportunity to see if a row of hampers with each holding a particular laundry load type of laundry is any type of a go in practice. Also give you a better idea of the number and size which could or would work. You could even have staggered sizes to fit more in the same space and also hold what you need them to hold. - Once you have what seems to work (or before) paint your cardboard boxes with interior house paint. I like the paint and primer in one designed for the bathroom in an egg or semi gloss finish put on with a foam brush but work with what is available. This said, ive been able to get it in needed quantities and adequate colors for free from other's discards. Even so, 2 coats puts a nice coating of acrylic coating on a cardboard box.

A wall mount ironing board for folding all clothes. I use the top of my washer cause my bathroom doubles with washer and dryer. Its small but it works but I will get it organized. I put my sins clothes t-shirts & socks in baskets and pants on the sides of the baskets on the glass shelving unit over the toilet and baskets of hand towels and washcloths. I'm having too rework everything. I made a folding frame out of cardboard its so much easier. And 3 different sizes for toddlers ,teens & adults. I've already had the basket from earlier. No expenses going out.
