    A very fiddly job once the spring is back in tension but the instructions were very useful! Good exercise for the fingers!! Many thanks :)

    Very helpful. How do you get the fabric back on the track if it comes loose?

      Hi. If you mean when it comes loose from the rod itself, I used a fast glue - 1-second glue. Haven't had problems...

    Please show how to remove blind. Mine is jammed shut

      Sadly you will have to use force. You need to get to side rail screws...

    Hi, The video starts with the roller already removed. I have removed the blind cassette from the window, but cannot see how to remove the roller from the cassette. Some instructions how to do this would really help.

      I worked it out. There are plastic tabs on the back which you can push in with a screw driver.

      @@ruxyguy so glad you said this as I nearly gave up on the 1st hurdle, I was going to yank it a bit harder also so it came away probably doing irreversible damage 🤦😃

    Hi , how do you tighten the spring on the first blind ?

    Hi, mine is not springy but pull up and down manually. The sides of the blinds have some little tiny clip like to keep them weighed down in the channels but mine has a few of these little thingy missing. Any tricks to fix these please

      Sorry, don't know the type, but do try searching for parts on Thingiverse...

      @@greeneyedexplorer already did but those little clip like are apparently melted into the fabric and I’m thinking of something custom made like al snap button or similar to glue it on. But hey thanks for the response anyway🙏

    • @greeneyedexplorer
      @greeneyedexplorer  11 месяцев назад +1

      If those are incorporated into the fabric, you could maybe try the trick with a drop of super glue on the fabric and put a pinch of soda-bicarbonate on it. Then just pile it a bit. It will last long... I think.

      @@moebrahimi7957 Hi, did you manage to find any of the little guide clips for the sides of the fabric or did you make something yourself? I have the same problem and suspect other people have too but have not been able to find anything to replace them online. Thanks for any thoughts.

    I have a velux remote controlled blind. I retensioned the spring but when the blind is retracting the tension will drop off every 10cm or so and the blind will lose tension. Do you have any advice on how to fix this?

    • @benmumford1664

      Here's a link with a video of the issue - www.reddit.com/r/fixit/comments/gm3zzf/electric_blinds_not_retracting/

      Your video is now visible. There is no spring error. The problem is that black plastic parts on both sides of the fabric get stuck in the roll box at the bottom on the video. You have probably misaligned aluminum slides i.e. put too high into mentioned box...
