Hi everyone, it’s been just over a year since I uploaded this video. Yesterday, I received an apology from one of the players featured in the video and I apologized in return. I’m glad to say that this matter has been cleared peacefully and maturely. Along with this, I also asked the player if I should delete the video and they responded with, “No, you don’t have to delete the video. The video has a good message and reminded me just how small and niche this community actually is, and the importance of maintaining a good environment in multiplayer”. Since the new year, I have managed to move on from this petty issue and realized my own faults when it occurred. Unlike what the title suggests, I continue to play multiplayer for both leisure and content creation because it doesn’t make sense to stop playing just because this occurred. It was incredibly childish of me to say that and I apologize for that. Moments like this shouldn’t define our perception of online games nor should they be the way online games are played. I’m really happy that the players and I could resolve this matter and I hope this serves as a learning experience for everyone as it was for me and the players.
I don't know that you had anything to apologize for in my opinion. Looks like you got even and they learned there lesson. I legitimately don't think you did anything wrong. "Hey this kind of mentality sucks and it makes me not want to play." Is the statement you made and I think it still stands. It's not childish to call people out in a reasonable manner. It's nice to hear though that you met with the person after all this time and they've either become better people or learned from it. We all do stupid stuff in games from time to time or act in stupid ways and at least in video gaming it shouldn't define us.
Would like to see massive PVE battles from old Ace Combat Online games. I think having different role aircraft working together would be better than battle royale.
@@_Phantom_ Ace Combat Infinite had the best Multiplayer in this matter.. I think, they were kind of shortsighted and stupid to cut it completely. On PC and Consoles ACI would be a gold donkey for free..

My best guess is that they knew one another and you were the odd man out. They were just bullies & nothing more than that. You beat them by winning and you did that solo. Well done. I bet they tried to message you afterwards

They wanted to talk to you beforehand because they were all going after you but went silent once you decided to be serious. yep. straight up ignored. IF that is how players want to play - that is not someone I wish to play with. IF you can't win fairly then don't bother and don't F it up for others, just so you can get a number on a screen.
The Su-30 missing because of his buddy's IEWS was gold lmao. Targeting one person can backfire really easily if the one you're targeting is even the least bit competent, because nobody else is getting any points.

@@Aetherblade-z4o I didn't mean that using IEWS is stupid. I was just saying that using IEWS to troll a player with friends in a Battle Royal match is pretty stupid, which is exactly why the first comment mentioned how funny it was that the Su-30 pilot missed their shot due to their friend's IEWS.
@@Aetherblade-z4o in a battle royal it boosts your missles and disrupts enemies. In this case they are targeting a single player so every time he popped it. It was disrupting the QAAM from tracking and hitting lol
_Yeah._ To be fair: I don't play the multiplayer because it's _good_ -I have a soft spot for really janky cult like PVP games-, but that feeling you get when you come out on top of an impossible scenario like this against other people is otherwise something you could only get from games like Dark Souls or, asymmetric fighting games. It's fun. Really stressful, but fun. And I get why most of the community ignores it lol
Unfortunately I’ve also been teamed on in games but instead of all the ppl having MiG-21s at first, everyone had F-14Ds. Next round they switched to F-22, an F/A-18F, and F/A-18E, and SR-72 Hypersonic Darkstar. They once again all teamed on me. After another round of getting pummeled, I decided I wasn’t going to take that level of disrespect and grabbed a Dassault Rafale M with long range missiles and proceeded to snipe em from each and every corner of the map.
I've always liked Ace Combat Infinity's more co-op spin on the multiplayer content. Instead of just straight up fighting against your opponents, you're simply trying the grind the most points out of all of them, and the missions in the process tend to be the most exciting, especially when that "Sortie Order" pop up comes, it gets me really excited.
@@ViceN53X That's sad, i only got to play ace combat zero around a year ago, it's impossible to find a non-modded ps2 in a 3rd world country like where i live at so i was lucky to have the system with a few games, anyway, even today, ace combat zero is a fun and challenging game, you should try it out!
When I was new to the game I joined a multiplayer match with an F-14. All the other players were in F-22s and they were targeting me. As you can imagine, with my lack of skill and them using a better aircraft, I was demolished. I simply cannot stand people like this. But I’m glad you were able to teach these guys a lesson. Thankfully, I’ve never had anything this bad happen. Although one time one guy always targeted me through 5 matches. As soon as I spawned in, they would target me. On the plus side, I got lots of medals for missile evasion because he was pretty bad. Also, I’m at TGM watch #46.
I’m glad to hear that! I hope no one ever has to deal with something like this. There’ll always be that one guy who targets you for some unknown reason.
One thing I noticed about AC7 multiplayer and because of how limited it is, I'm sick of having to just literally fly in circles (looping top to bottom) just to avoid missiles. Like, that's not how you dog fight at all. Every match everyone and myself just does the same loopy loop.
Yeah always laughed at that - simple addition of fuel would solve alot of these issue's in game. As flying like that would burn out your fuel so quick.
It's more of an inevitably honestly. Constantly looping like that is the best and easiest way to avoid missiles, so it's gonna happen one way or another
Personally, this is why I think HVAP should be standard in AC Multiplayers. It punishes people for going too slow and looping. Other solution is to put AoA delimiter like Project Wingman. Other is put a Pixy MPBM that denies a looping area like ACZ.
I used to play AC7 multiplayer back then but because of how skilled many players have become. I still find multiplayer quite fun sometimes but I mostly play project wingman or the 10 last missions in the story mode thingy
Can confirm, I've actually had full zero-score matches while getting focused by 4 people in a supposed "free for all." By zero score matches, i mean, NO ONE scored a point. As in. Not a single shot landed on anyone. I was constantly defending and they were just weaving into me. Not so much as a single gun hit. And I'm pretty confident Tor Fenris was one of them.
What they've done here was give you a very target rich environment. You had 3X as many targeting chances than they did. Which gave you the opportunity to change targets to play a little art of war style battle. You didn't see it as you were surrounded you saw it as a golden opportunity to advance in all directions.
The issue for me when I played AC7's multiplayer is when I had a game said "No specials". I was expecting a fair fight for all comers, and yet I see other players' "standard missiles" lasting longer than usual, almost as if they're the QAAMs. Either this was a hidden thing I wasn't informed about, an upgrade that I don't have, or a cheat of some kind.
Theres a ramjet upgrade that significantly increases the standard missile flight distance. I tend to upgrade my standard missiles with that, power, and homing because I tend to use my standard missiles more than any other weapon. Without any sort of upgrades missiles are pretty much useless
We need PvP game modes that require the use of various types of roles, so it isn't just always a META match. A game mode that only allow certain types of fighters. Like bomber and escorts, 2 round matches (one offense round and one defense round), each team has to try to get the highest score by bombing as many targets as possible during their offense round etc. Maybe we could be totally separate maps and highest score wins, after the timer. I can think of a lot of modes to make it fun!
Man... I feel you. Not too long ago, I came back to the multiplayer on Xbox side, and last time I got bullied by the top player in a high rank lobby with SPWs disabled, probably because I was "the weakest". The guy wasn't even caring on winning during that specific match. He got 3rd, but I got last, because he was targeting me all the time, denying me to attack anybody. Where's the fun on that? Bruh...

Also, he flyes in a very slow way when you make him slow down, because ADF11 is a very bulky aircraft, makes him a easy target against guns. I know that is my bad, but the way he plays the online, obrigates myself to use X02S with EML and focuses on him by hate.
Most Pvp games can't be considered games,as the majority of players will be annoyed,which is not a game anymore. If you want a combat game pve is the only option
@@Remix2366 I find PvP annoying, but nowadays I am attempting to not be annoyed and to actually up my skills. Otherwise, PvE experiences is definitely where it’s at for me.
AC7 MP is hell. I’ve tried it a couple times. Almost everyone is in either a DLC God vehicle like the ADF-11 or supermanuverable ones like the X-O2S and Su-30SM. Then they always use QAAM, EML, TLS, or PLSL
When I was playing it you still had the EML users, but you saw more and more F22s sitting on the fringes spamming their 8AAM's with maxed out homing and speed upgrades. I much rather deal with the EMLs that require some level of skill...
THIS. NEARLY EVERY MATCH. It’s completely bad for these types of players to ruin the fun for others. AC7’s multiplayer is already bad with the rules thrown out of the window and yet these players are pushing it. It’s only why I ever touch the Multiplayer if it’s with with friends only. Good on ya for coming out on top in that unfair situation.
I know all too well what that is like. I've been harassed, bullied, and very much targeted in the multiplayer modes. Especially from QAAM and EML spammers. I hate it. I rarely play multiplayer now because of it. It is people like those guys that make the game very unfun. Especially for new people. I'm not a new player by any means, but when you are using other aircraft to expand your skill and combat roster only for some ass in an F-22A, ADF-11F, or an X-02S to come in and just wipe like that isn't fun. It doesn't take skill to win matches in those OP aircraft. It takes skill to win matches in literally anything else. Get good with a diversity of aircraft. There are over 60 in the game I believe. People need to learn how to have fun in multiplayer instead of ruining everyone else's fun. Sorry for the rant, but I have suffered WAY too much for me to just not leave a massive comment.
I mean fun is subjective, and I doubt that the people who use those planes are actively trying to ruin your day. They have fun, using those planes, and you have fun using yours. If you don't like the lobby you get into just join a new one that's the beauty of online gaming. You don't like the people? Leave go find others, when you approach online stuff with this mindset I promise you the stress and frustration lessens significantly, after all at the end of the day it's a game, nothing to let ruin your night
You thought the EML's were bad, be thankful you played before players realized how broken 8AAMs were with maxed out homing and speed upgrades and sat on the fringes and spammed them. Atleast the EMLs took some skill.
An easy way to frustrate people is to use the massive air burst missiles to deal 2% damage to one player, and then just dodge everything the rest are throwing at you. I have a super defensive build with exactly that in mind. Nothing will annoy them more than you winning off a stupid gimmick and them being able to counter it by literally playing the game properly for three seconds.
Man this reminds me of a time where some people where doing a TDM and i thought "Ok this seems like it's going to be a fair balanced game" then next thing the 3 people on my team left leaving me with 1v4 and i was in a Mig-31B (Dogfighting build) so they all came after me even though the other 2 players were low levels but i ended up killing them and the 2 rookies left after a few kills on them but the other 2 which were high rank players one of them were using ADF-11F (w/UAV's) and the other guy was in the F-15S/MTD (w/HPAA's) and surprising enough i was actually killing them even though yes they were skilled but they couldn't handle my Mig-31B and they ended up quitting right before the timer hit zero and funny thing was they we're 14,000 points on there team and me having 125,000 points (Which TDM has a maximum of 200K points). Now how bad do you have to be to lose to a Mig-31B in a dogfight while in the ADF-11F and F-15S/MTD?. EDIT: the 3 people on my team left before the game even started and yes i did feel bad for the low level players i meant no disrespect to them.
Well done, people like these deserve to get EML. I, too, only use my EML build as a last resort when the enemys' behavior is too toxic, or when a lot of them use EML too
This hits personally seeing this, as it has happened to me and is the reason I mainly don't play AC7's mp anymore. I might on on occasion just to run a funny theme build like the Red Comet build. But people are so overly emotional and love teaming and the funniest part is these are grown men(mostly) acting like kids.
This i do agree it's a video game it's mean't to be played for fun and this is not a Mil-Sim flight shooter to be all serious about i too get targeted quite a lot as well especially by Darkstar mains but i have my own secret weapon against them which is HVAA's with Thrust Adjusting Steering device lvl 2 (SP.W), Directional Proximity Fuse lvl 2 (SP.W) and the other part that gives it a longer lock on range lvl 2 (SP.W) and with those combined the Darkstar players can't evade the HVAA's because the missile glitches out and becomes a Hyper Velocity QAAM or else known as "Jesus Missile" that generally pisses off darkstar mains.
I got a three day ban on live because I out flew some players who were using 22's and SU's with my trusty F-4. Got reported for cheating. My buddy was in the lobby with me and laughed. His words exactly, "They were just salty cause they were hot garbage." Haven't been too keen to play around with it since. Too many try hards getting mad due to someone actually knowing how to play an Ace Combat game. And before anyone starts anything, I am OK at the game. Been playing them since Air Combat on the PS1 so I know more than a few tricks but still wouldn't say I am a master at any.
I have love for aircraft as a whole and even used to wrench on 18s so i get how you came up on my feed but i can say you have a great skill on flying. You definitely got my sub. Hopefully this isn't a too common thing. i never was able to get many of the AC games due to work and finances. Godspeed and clear skies, brother.

I got into AC7 again recently. And I wasn’t really sure if I should get ps+ for the multiplayer. This video made me decide to just play the campaign and do the platinum. Hopefully MP will get better on the next installment.
I can even relate, they're always going to full sweat on me outside su-35s i can't even have fun using other planes while sometimes they always after me taking advantage to me from outside using su-35s and they're all just running when I'm trying to fight back. they're like the cops in gta online. I just found it boring in general, this is why I always set on or looking for 1v1s
I'm glad I got all the multiplayer trophies early on when there was more variety in available lobbies and skill level in players. Now every lobby is either full of high level players who gang up on me or noobs who all quit mid-match
I'm glad I got the achievements for winning both match types in the early days. I was bad then, I'm definitely still bad now. No chance I'd get those two achievements at this stage. All I have left are the ones for simply playing 50 or so matches. If PC ever has matches (and even when it does, they're miserable).
Certainly been in this kind of situation before. My reactions whenever it happens tend to vary wildly from each case, but I can make 2 reliable observations across all of them. *SP.W Enabled targetings are almost always a dreadfully miserable experience,* as there are so many BS ways you can die to unbalanced weapons (F-22 QAAMSPAAM, X-02 casually deleting someone on the other side of the map in a fraction of the second, ADF-11 UAV swarms) while SP.W Disabled targetings are much more enjoyable and can be a good challenge, as it's much more purely down to the skill of the players, but there are still clear 'meta aircraft' to use in SP.W Disabled matches (Su-57, Rafale M, Su-35S, and Su-30SM), and deviating from the meta can cause a world of headaches. I know this firstand as I'm an F-14A main in a world of Raptors, Flankers, Felons, and Belkan supercraft. AC7's SP.W and just overall Aircraft balance is completely off the kahoots, as: A: There are aircraft that simply put are not competitive in any capacity regardless of whatever part combination you put on them compared to the group average, while there are also aircraft that are objectively among the most braindead and / or overpowered. Among the most useless are the F-16C, MiG-31B (following the inclusion of the Darkstar), and A-10C, while among the most blatantly Overpowered include the F-18E TGM, X-02S, and ADF-11, and the most Braindead include the F-22, Darkstar, and again the ADF-11. B: DLC aircraft seem to sometimes get overshadowed by future DLC aircraft (Powercreep), example being when the TG:M DLC came out, as the TG:M F-18E was superior to the previously-added F-18F Block III in almost every way when it came to airframe performance, and has better SP.Ws to choose from for Multiplayer. (The F-18F Block III [And the F-2A Super Kai] felt as if it was meant to be used exclusively in Campaign, while the F-18E TG:M felt tailor made for MP.) C: The X-02S was designed to be the most OP aircraft in the entire game *intentionally*, because one of the directors had liked how the Strike Wyvern looked so much, so it can be reasonably assumed that the Wyvern's stats were forcibly buffed during development because of developer bias. This is fine in the context of older Ace Combat games like 4, 5, and 0, where online multiplier didn't exist at the time and you had to look for the parts to make the prototypes in the missions, but in AC6, where Online battles were introduced, they specifically addressed this problem by making it optional to ban the CFA-44 in lobbies. True, you have to beat the game to unlock the X-02 for purchase, but that's about it. The ability to ban certain aircraft is obviously absent in AC7 Multiplayer, and I guarantee the state of MP would be much better if this had been done. (Much less EML X-02, UAV ADF-11, and QAAM F-22 spam). As a side note, being able to ban certain special weapons likely would have also helped, but that may be going a bit far.
Ace Combat was honestly never meant for hardcore competitive gameplay. It's a game where people flies their favorite aircraft and looks cool while doing it.
I never had this happen to me before (I’m a PC player, however so idk if this plays into it) so honestly KUDOS to you for handling it so well. I normally would feel some semblance of guilt if I flew a Raven, F-22 or the Wyvern but if I were to bump into a lobby full of scumbags like these then all bets would be off lol ..also these people were so bad it’s not even funny lmao
Why would you feel guilt? Isn't that what everyone does? I've only played a couple rounds of MP because I expected it to be like that and have been going through the campaign on hard unlocking everything first to have better equipment and skills before jumping into the meat grinder. Each match I've played in was like that.
@@ericj6636 I feel guilt because of how powerful these planes can be and how unfun to fight they are for other players. All 3 of these essentially give the others no fighting chance whatsoever and get stale after a while. It also feels much better to win an MP match while flying a more balanced plane like say the SU-37 or the F-15S/MTD than it does something like the F-22.
I'm glad it hasn't happened but I'm sure it will the more you play since there are quite a few cheaters on PC. Thank you! It only makes sense to use those aircraft when you encounter players like this. If you can do that with mid-range aircraft, you're worthy of all respect! I mentioned this in another comment but the MiG-21 player was the only "slightly" competent player.

The good old snake pit gameplay, it always turns into doing circles and loops for 10 minutes, would be more interesting if no one could go above 1000-2000 feet.
I remember using the rail gun after being in the same situation as you and was scolded for using it saying it’s cheap and that QAAM and the missile that explodes near target(forgot name) took more skill and was a more fair fight any thoughts on this?
I personally refrain from using SASM. It's just an easy way to get points. The only time it would make sense to use that is with an F-4E, given it's the only air-to-air missile special weapon.
As soon as I saw the Wyvern with EML, I know you activated the Gamer Lean on your seat. Even after all of the outrageous DLC planes we've gotten over the years, the Wyvern + EML combo remains as the one combo where pretty much everyone who sees it goes "Ok, that guy's done playing around. He wants to win". Still the best PvP build in the game by far.
I don't know, it's one thing to do it in a popular game like Fortnite or Call of Duty. But when you do this type of stuff in a game where fans are lucky to even get a new entry, you'd imagine people should at least try to have fun while the game is still there.
I play multiplayer like an utter moron. I fly the F15 cause its my favorite aircraft and I've done just about everything I can to make it as agile as possible. Missiles is very simple. Standard missiles with upgraded tracking and hit power. I despise those who outfit their missiles to turn around and track you endlessly for 30 seconds.
This is why I've never liked competitive modes in AC games. AC6 was very similar, F-22 with QAAM's was what 99% of players used and ganged up on people with. I'd prefer Project Aces to put Co-op modes in the next game.

I gave it a try after beating the campaign just to see what the special unlockwas. Played 5 games just using the raptor I used for the finale, down specs because every lobby was 2500 no special or unlimited+Special amd me having only the middle tree and knowing certain planes get absurd special weapons I went with 2500 lobbies. Sadly special weapons count as cost in lobbied where disabled which is bs. FLANKERS EVERYWHERE HOLY SHIT. 5 games, 5 different 8 player lobbies. 39 flankers. Didn't get the experience you got but instead I watcher the flanker do laps around me and doing PSM every time I got guns ob them. What did ac7 do to make the flanker insane. I was expecting dlc planes out the ass or felon vs raptor. Was not ready to fight Russian propaganda.
This is the perfect showcase of how not to play battle royale, or team deathmatch. I personally really enjoy multiplayer and had a good games. One of them is on my channel showing the good, more often seen side of multiplayer. Of course I had games like this, but it meant easy first place. That's why i mainly use two aircrafts. X02S because of the stats and Darkstar, because unless you have HVAA you can't take it down no matter what. That also increases the fact I use Next gen pressure componets lvl.2 and variable cycle lvl.2, that makes it a litteral speed demon. But I would tell you to give it a few more tries, because you'll encounter more games played the right way (everyone vs everyone) then the one you recorded (one vs everyone else)
I dont likw doing pvp personally, i don't get that much enjoyment from it and i dont think id be skilled enough to compete haha. I miss ace combat infinity so much. Multiplayer PVE missions were such a joy and it was cool when your mate swoops out of nowhere to save you. Twas the good old days
AC7 multiplayer has always been a shallow afterthought. AC6 was a better, more fleshed out game by far, and ACI would still be going if it hadn't been shackled to the PS3.
This happens to me all the time. I lost my account it had every plane (except the store bought ones) so I bought the adf 11 because I hate grinding for a long time and I heard it was good. Now I immediately get kicked after I win a match im not even that good :(
The short time I played online, I usually used the Darkstar. Kept flying circles around the map. Nobodys missles could touch me. I was shot down a few times, only because I slowed down.
When I first entered the match, I wasn’t feeling frustrated when I was taking L’s. Mostly cause my goal there was to get the emblems of the Ace Combat Zero aces.
Never really thought about it like that! I honestly thought he meant “fight fairly” and used “Fight Freely” as secondary option. But with that explanation, it makes sense.
AC7 multiplayer was fun when it first dropped, but after a few weeks it got kinda dumb because it just seemed like skill didn’t matter anymore at that point with people using the crazy missile upgrades that keep tracking you no matter what. Like, I remember winning a 4v1 (I was the 1) in the F-15C on like day 2 or 3 of release, dodging people’s missiles and using the new post-stall maneuvers to out fly people. But after a while matches simply came down to who had the meta-upgrades and not who had A) the Better plane &/or B) who was the better pilot. It just kinda sucked unfortunately.
On flip side,using guns to try kill is incredibly hard,psm initiation is hard even if you do exactly as instructed to do so,and the window to land a perfect missile,and so the only way to really try counter psm users is good missiles.
For me multiplayer was good for buying more planes. I just use dogfight tactic because i not really good targeting the special weapon. But then yeah my controller became drifted 🤣 too hard turning the joystick to evading all the missiles. But still mig-21s is so hard to hit. Better targeting newer modern planes
Dealt with this same situation in titanfall 2 during a titanbrawl match. They thought Because I was outnumbered I was gonna be a kill farm but they quickly found out I'm used to those odds.😂
if you had hitbox 2 there's a lot of shots I would've taken regardless, hitbox 2 is so large that you can hit things behind you with it. that's why I don't like EML as it requires little effort and only use it as a weapon to just annoy people I don't like. but regardless, good job, I think that MiG-21 player was relying on the actual gunsight which is practically never accurate
I agree! EML would've been my last choice but I have that X-02S build for scenarios like this. You never really know when it can happen. Always good to be prepared. Maybe so, but in any case, he put up a better fight than the other two. And thank you!

Wait, AC7's multiplayer reputation is tarnished? How so? I don't play multiplayer because, honestly, I'm f***ing horrible at PvP games and perfer Co-op. (Didn't like Ace Combat Infinity's co-op though, since it was two teams competing against AI to get the highest score.)
From what I've seen and heard, what you saw you in this video is just one of many situations that have been occurring on a far greater scale. From people teaming to cheaters (on PC) utilizing all sorts of things that shouldn't be utilized in multiplayer. It's sad, really.

I tried hopping into AC7's multiplayer because I heard it was a good way to gain MRP. But jesus you just get absolutely mauled when you first get in there, it's impossible to know what you're doing right or wrong.
Hi everyone, it’s been just over a year since I uploaded this video. Yesterday, I received an apology from one of the players featured in the video and I apologized in return. I’m glad to say that this matter has been cleared peacefully and maturely. Along with this, I also asked the player if I should delete the video and they responded with, “No, you don’t have to delete the video. The video has a good message and reminded me just how small and niche this community actually is, and the importance of maintaining a good environment in multiplayer”.
Since the new year, I have managed to move on from this petty issue and realized my own faults when it occurred. Unlike what the title suggests, I continue to play multiplayer for both leisure and content creation because it doesn’t make sense to stop playing just because this occurred. It was incredibly childish of me to say that and I apologize for that. Moments like this shouldn’t define our perception of online games nor should they be the way online games are played. I’m really happy that the players and I could resolve this matter and I hope this serves as a learning experience for everyone as it was for me and the players.
I don't know that you had anything to apologize for in my opinion. Looks like you got even and they learned there lesson. I legitimately don't think you did anything wrong. "Hey this kind of mentality sucks and it makes me not want to play." Is the statement you made and I think it still stands. It's not childish to call people out in a reasonable manner. It's nice to hear though that you met with the person after all this time and they've either become better people or learned from it. We all do stupid stuff in games from time to time or act in stupid ways and at least in video gaming it shouldn't define us.

To be fair: I don't play the multiplayer because it's _good_ -I have a soft spot for really janky cult like PVP games-, but that feeling you get when you come out on top of an impossible scenario like this against other people is otherwise something you could only get from games like Dark Souls or, asymmetric fighting games.
It's fun. Really stressful, but fun. And I get why most of the community ignores it lol

Unfortunately I’ve also been teamed on in games but instead of all the ppl having MiG-21s at first, everyone had F-14Ds. Next round they switched to F-22, an F/A-18F, and F/A-18E, and SR-72 Hypersonic Darkstar. They once again all teamed on me. After another round of getting pummeled, I decided I wasn’t going to take that level of disrespect and grabbed a Dassault Rafale M with long range missiles and proceeded to snipe em from each and every corner of the map.

I've always liked Ace Combat Infinity's more co-op spin on the multiplayer content. Instead of just straight up fighting against your opponents, you're simply trying the grind the most points out of all of them, and the missions in the process tend to be the most exciting, especially when that "Sortie Order" pop up comes, it gets me really excited.
I always wished the AC7 MP was more like a group of players just doing the regular missions as a team.
Infinity had fantastic breadth of multiplayer modes. AC7's MP is a tacked-on embarassment.

When I was new to the game I joined a multiplayer match with an F-14. All the other players were in F-22s and they were targeting me. As you can imagine, with my lack of skill and them using a better aircraft, I was demolished. I simply cannot stand people like this. But I’m glad you were able to teach these guys a lesson. Thankfully, I’ve never had anything this bad happen. Although one time one guy always targeted me through 5 matches. As soon as I spawned in, they would target me. On the plus side, I got lots of medals for missile evasion because he was pretty bad.

One thing I noticed about AC7 multiplayer and because of how limited it is, I'm sick of having to just literally fly in circles (looping top to bottom) just to avoid missiles. Like, that's not how you dog fight at all. Every match everyone and myself just does the same loopy loop.
Yeah always laughed at that - simple addition of fuel would solve alot of these issue's in game. As flying like that would burn out your fuel so quick.
It's more of an inevitably honestly. Constantly looping like that is the best and easiest way to avoid missiles, so it's gonna happen one way or another
Personally, this is why I think HVAP should be standard in AC Multiplayers. It punishes people for going too slow and looping.
Other solution is to put AoA delimiter like Project Wingman.
Other is put a Pixy MPBM that denies a looping area like ACZ.
I used to play AC7 multiplayer back then but because of how skilled many players have become. I still find multiplayer quite fun sometimes but I mostly play project wingman or the 10 last missions in the story mode thingy

Can confirm, I've actually had full zero-score matches while getting focused by 4 people in a supposed "free for all."
By zero score matches, i mean, NO ONE scored a point. As in. Not a single shot landed on anyone. I was constantly defending and they were just weaving into me. Not so much as a single gun hit.

What they've done here was give you a very target rich environment. You had 3X as many targeting chances than they did. Which gave you the opportunity to change targets to play a little art of war style battle. You didn't see it as you were surrounded you saw it as a golden opportunity to advance in all directions.

The issue for me when I played AC7's multiplayer is when I had a game said "No specials". I was expecting a fair fight for all comers, and yet I see other players' "standard missiles" lasting longer than usual, almost as if they're the QAAMs. Either this was a hidden thing I wasn't informed about, an upgrade that I don't have, or a cheat of some kind.
Theres a ramjet upgrade that significantly increases the standard missile flight distance. I tend to upgrade my standard missiles with that, power, and homing because I tend to use my standard missiles more than any other weapon. Without any sort of upgrades missiles are pretty much useless

We need PvP game modes that require the use of various types of roles, so it isn't just always a META match. A game mode that only allow certain types of fighters. Like bomber and escorts, 2 round matches (one offense round and one defense round), each team has to try to get the highest score by bombing as many targets as possible during their offense round etc. Maybe we could be totally separate maps and highest score wins, after the timer. I can think of a lot of modes to make it fun!

Not too long ago, I came back to the multiplayer on Xbox side, and last time I got bullied by the top player in a high rank lobby with SPWs disabled, probably because I was "the weakest".
The guy wasn't even caring on winning during that specific match. He got 3rd, but I got last, because he was targeting me all the time, denying me to attack anybody.

AC7 MP is hell. I’ve tried it a couple times. Almost everyone is in either a DLC God vehicle like the ADF-11 or supermanuverable ones like the X-O2S and Su-30SM. Then they always use QAAM, EML, TLS, or PLSL
When I was playing it you still had the EML users, but you saw more and more F22s sitting on the fringes spamming their 8AAM's with maxed out homing and speed upgrades. I much rather deal with the EMLs that require some level of skill...

It’s completely bad for these types of players to ruin the fun for others. AC7’s multiplayer is already bad with the rules thrown out of the window and yet these players are pushing it.

I know all too well what that is like. I've been harassed, bullied, and very much targeted in the multiplayer modes. Especially from QAAM and EML spammers. I hate it. I rarely play multiplayer now because of it. It is people like those guys that make the game very unfun. Especially for new people. I'm not a new player by any means, but when you are using other aircraft to expand your skill and combat roster only for some ass in an F-22A, ADF-11F, or an X-02S to come in and just wipe like that isn't fun. It doesn't take skill to win matches in those OP aircraft. It takes skill to win matches in literally anything else. Get good with a diversity of aircraft. There are over 60 in the game I believe. People need to learn how to have fun in multiplayer instead of ruining everyone else's fun.
Sorry for the rant, but I have suffered WAY too much for me to just not leave a massive comment.
I mean fun is subjective, and I doubt that the people who use those planes are actively trying to ruin your day. They have fun, using those planes, and you have fun using yours. If you don't like the lobby you get into just join a new one that's the beauty of online gaming. You don't like the people? Leave go find others, when you approach online stuff with this mindset I promise you the stress and frustration lessens significantly, after all at the end of the day it's a game, nothing to let ruin your night
You thought the EML's were bad, be thankful you played before players realized how broken 8AAMs were with maxed out homing and speed upgrades and sat on the fringes and spammed them. Atleast the EMLs took some skill.
An easy way to frustrate people is to use the massive air burst missiles to deal 2% damage to one player, and then just dodge everything the rest are throwing at you. I have a super defensive build with exactly that in mind. Nothing will annoy them more than you winning off a stupid gimmick and them being able to counter it by literally playing the game properly for three seconds.
Man this reminds me of a time where some people where doing a TDM and i thought "Ok this seems like it's going to be a fair balanced game" then next thing the 3 people on my team left leaving me with 1v4 and i was in a Mig-31B (Dogfighting build) so they all came after me even though the other 2 players were low levels but i ended up killing them and the 2 rookies left after a few kills on them but the other 2 which were high rank players one of them were using ADF-11F (w/UAV's) and the other guy was in the F-15S/MTD (w/HPAA's) and surprising enough i was actually killing them even though yes they were skilled but they couldn't handle my Mig-31B and they ended up quitting right before the timer hit zero and funny thing was they we're 14,000 points on there team and me having 125,000 points (Which TDM has a maximum of 200K points). Now how bad do you have to be to lose to a Mig-31B in a dogfight while in the ADF-11F and F-15S/MTD?.
EDIT: the 3 people on my team left before the game even started and yes i did feel bad for the low level players i meant no disrespect to them.

This hits personally seeing this, as it has happened to me and is the reason I mainly don't play AC7's mp anymore. I might on on occasion just to run a funny theme build like the Red Comet build. But people are so overly emotional and love teaming and the funniest part is these are grown men(mostly) acting like kids.

This i do agree it's a video game it's mean't to be played for fun and this is not a Mil-Sim flight shooter to be all serious about i too get targeted quite a lot as well especially by Darkstar mains but i have my own secret weapon against them which is HVAA's with Thrust Adjusting Steering device lvl 2 (SP.W), Directional Proximity Fuse lvl 2 (SP.W) and the other part that gives it a longer lock on range lvl 2 (SP.W) and with those combined the Darkstar players can't evade the HVAA's because the missile glitches out and becomes a Hyper Velocity QAAM or else known as "Jesus Missile" that generally pisses off darkstar mains.

I got a three day ban on live because I out flew some players who were using 22's and SU's with my trusty F-4. Got reported for cheating. My buddy was in the lobby with me and laughed. His words exactly, "They were just salty cause they were hot garbage." Haven't been too keen to play around with it since. Too many try hards getting mad due to someone actually knowing how to play an Ace Combat game. And before anyone starts anything, I am OK at the game. Been playing them since Air Combat on the PS1 so I know more than a few tricks but still wouldn't say I am a master at any.
This is why I just stick to the Rafale and Gripen, nobody bothers me.

I got into AC7 again recently. And I wasn’t really sure if I should get ps+ for the multiplayer. This video made me decide to just play the campaign and do the platinum. Hopefully MP will get better on the next installment.
I can even relate, they're always going to full sweat on me outside su-35s i can't even have fun using other planes while sometimes they always after me taking advantage to me from outside using su-35s and they're all just running when I'm trying to fight back. they're like the cops in gta online. I just found it boring in general, this is why I always set on or looking for 1v1s

I'm glad I got all the multiplayer trophies early on when there was more variety in available lobbies and skill level in players. Now every lobby is either full of high level players who gang up on me or noobs who all quit mid-match
I'm glad I got the achievements for winning both match types in the early days. I was bad then, I'm definitely still bad now. No chance I'd get those two achievements at this stage. All I have left are the ones for simply playing 50 or so matches. If PC ever has matches (and even when it does, they're miserable).

Certainly been in this kind of situation before. My reactions whenever it happens tend to vary wildly from each case, but I can make 2 reliable observations across all of them. *SP.W Enabled targetings are almost always a dreadfully miserable experience,* as there are so many BS ways you can die to unbalanced weapons (F-22 QAAMSPAAM, X-02 casually deleting someone on the other side of the map in a fraction of the second, ADF-11 UAV swarms) while SP.W Disabled targetings are much more enjoyable and can be a good challenge, as it's much more purely down to the skill of the players, but there are still clear 'meta aircraft' to use in SP.W Disabled matches (Su-57, Rafale M, Su-35S, and Su-30SM), and deviating from the meta can cause a world of headaches. I know this firstand as I'm an F-14A main in a world of Raptors, Flankers, Felons, and Belkan supercraft.
AC7's SP.W and just overall Aircraft balance is completely off the kahoots, as:
A: There are aircraft that simply put are not competitive in any capacity regardless of whatever part combination you put on them compared to the group average, while there are also aircraft that are objectively among the most braindead and / or overpowered. Among the most useless are the F-16C, MiG-31B (following the inclusion of the Darkstar), and A-10C, while among the most blatantly Overpowered include the F-18E TGM, X-02S, and ADF-11, and the most Braindead include the F-22, Darkstar, and again the ADF-11.
B: DLC aircraft seem to sometimes get overshadowed by future DLC aircraft (Powercreep), example being when the TG:M DLC came out, as the TG:M F-18E was superior to the previously-added F-18F Block III in almost every way when it came to airframe performance, and has better SP.Ws to choose from for Multiplayer. (The F-18F Block III [And the F-2A Super Kai] felt as if it was meant to be used exclusively in Campaign, while the F-18E TG:M felt tailor made for MP.)
C: The X-02S was designed to be the most OP aircraft in the entire game *intentionally*, because one of the directors had liked how the Strike Wyvern looked so much, so it can be reasonably assumed that the Wyvern's stats were forcibly buffed during development because of developer bias. This is fine in the context of older Ace Combat games like 4, 5, and 0, where online multiplier didn't exist at the time and you had to look for the parts to make the prototypes in the missions, but in AC6, where Online battles were introduced, they specifically addressed this problem by making it optional to ban the CFA-44 in lobbies. True, you have to beat the game to unlock the X-02 for purchase, but that's about it. The ability to ban certain aircraft is obviously absent in AC7 Multiplayer, and I guarantee the state of MP would be much better if this had been done. (Much less EML X-02, UAV ADF-11, and QAAM F-22 spam). As a side note, being able to ban certain special weapons likely would have also helped, but that may be going a bit far.

I normally would feel some semblance of guilt if I flew a Raven, F-22 or the Wyvern but if I were to bump into a lobby full of scumbags like these then all bets would be off lol

Isn't that what everyone does? I've only played a couple rounds of MP because I expected it to be like that and have been going through the campaign on hard unlocking everything first to have better equipment and skills before jumping into the meat grinder.

@@ericj6636 I feel guilt because of how powerful these planes can be and how unfun to fight they are for other players. All 3 of these essentially give the others no fighting chance whatsoever and get stale after a while. It also feels much better to win an MP match while flying a more balanced plane like say the SU-37 or the F-15S/MTD than it does something like the F-22.

It only makes sense to use those aircraft when you encounter players like this. If you can do that with mid-range aircraft, you're worthy of all respect!
I mentioned this in another comment but the MiG-21 player was the only "slightly" competent player.

AC7 needed a coop mode like infinity, I hated pvp event in it but the coop was cool

The good old snake pit gameplay, it always turns into doing circles and loops for 10 minutes, would be more interesting if no one could go above 1000-2000 feet.
Wish the mp was more worked on, a mode with ground targets and ai aircraft like av8's or helis like the campaign

Sounds like the SASM (Short-Range Burst Ariel Missile or something like that).
I personally refrain from using SASM. It's just an easy way to get points. The only time it would make sense to use that is with an F-4E, given it's the only air-to-air missile special weapon.

They really should've just expanded on Infinity's competitive PVE mode.

As soon as I saw the Wyvern with EML, I know you activated the Gamer Lean on your seat. Even after all of the outrageous DLC planes we've gotten over the years, the Wyvern + EML combo remains as the one combo where pretty much everyone who sees it goes "Ok, that guy's done playing around. He wants to win". Still the best PvP build in the game by far.
There's a reason why I took an oath to myself on how to treat each lobby fair, depending on who's in it.

I don't know, it's one thing to do it in a popular game like Fortnite or Call of Duty. But when you do this type of stuff in a game where fans are lucky to even get a new entry, you'd imagine people should at least try to have fun while the game is still there.

As an Ace Combat 7 online pilot myself, I agree that the use of the Strike Wyvern and the EML in this case is justified.
I play multiplayer like an utter moron. I fly the F15 cause its my favorite aircraft and I've done just about everything I can to make it as agile as possible. Missiles is very simple. Standard missiles with upgraded tracking and hit power. I despise those who outfit their missiles to turn around and track you endlessly for 30 seconds.
This is why I've never liked competitive modes in AC games. AC6 was very similar, F-22 with QAAM's was what 99% of players used and ganged up on people with. I'd prefer Project Aces to put Co-op modes in the next game.

I gave it a try after beating the campaign just to see what the special unlockwas. Played 5 games just using the raptor I used for the finale, down specs because every lobby was 2500 no special or unlimited+Special amd me having only the middle tree and knowing certain planes get absurd special weapons I went with 2500 lobbies. Sadly special weapons count as cost in lobbied where disabled which is bs.
FLANKERS EVERYWHERE HOLY SHIT. 5 games, 5 different 8 player lobbies. 39 flankers. Didn't get the experience you got but instead I watcher the flanker do laps around me and doing PSM every time I got guns ob them. What did ac7 do to make the flanker insane. I was expecting dlc planes out the ass or felon vs raptor. Was not ready to fight Russian propaganda.

This is the perfect showcase of how not to play battle royale, or team deathmatch. I personally really enjoy multiplayer and had a good games. One of them is on my channel showing the good, more often seen side of multiplayer. Of course I had games like this, but it meant easy first place. That's why i mainly use two aircrafts. X02S because of the stats and Darkstar, because unless you have HVAA you can't take it down no matter what. That also increases the fact I use Next gen pressure componets lvl.2 and variable cycle lvl.2, that makes it a litteral speed demon. But I would tell you to give it a few more tries, because you'll encounter more games played the right way (everyone vs everyone) then the one you recorded (one vs everyone else)

I dont likw doing pvp personally, i don't get that much enjoyment from it and i dont think id be skilled enough to compete haha. I miss ace combat infinity so much. Multiplayer PVE missions were such a joy and it was cool when your mate swoops out of nowhere to save you. Twas the good old days

AC7 multiplayer has always been a shallow afterthought. AC6 was a better, more fleshed out game by far, and ACI would still be going if it hadn't been shackled to the PS3.
This happens to me all the time. I lost my account it had every plane (except the store bought ones) so I bought the adf 11 because I hate grinding for a long time and I heard it was good. Now I immediately get kicked after I win a match im not even that good :(

The short time I played online, I usually used the Darkstar. Kept flying circles around the map. Nobodys missles could touch me. I was shot down a few times, only because I slowed down.
When I first entered the match, I wasn’t feeling frustrated when I was taking L’s. Mostly cause my goal there was to get the emblems of the Ace Combat Zero aces.

They're seal clubbing. When that one player said "Fight Freely" in comms, that was the signal to really start sweating for his boys.
Never really thought about it like that! I honestly thought he meant “fight fairly” and used “Fight Freely” as secondary option. But with that explanation, it makes sense.
AC7 multiplayer was fun when it first dropped, but after a few weeks it got kinda dumb because it just seemed like skill didn’t matter anymore at that point with people using the crazy missile upgrades that keep tracking you no matter what. Like, I remember winning a 4v1 (I was the 1) in the F-15C on like day 2 or 3 of release, dodging people’s missiles and using the new post-stall maneuvers to out fly people. But after a while matches simply came down to who had the meta-upgrades and not who had A) the Better plane &/or B) who was the better pilot. It just kinda sucked unfortunately.

@@_Phantom_ i really wish the MP had a better balance overall, it was fun at first and then it jarringly wasn’t.
On flip side,using guns to try kill is incredibly hard,psm initiation is hard even if you do exactly as instructed to do so,and the window to land a perfect missile,and so the only way to really try counter psm users is good missiles.
For me multiplayer was good for buying more planes. I just use dogfight tactic because i not really good targeting the special weapon. But then yeah my controller became drifted 🤣 too hard turning the joystick to evading all the missiles. But still mig-21s is so hard to hit. Better targeting newer modern planes

Dealt with this same situation in titanfall 2 during a titanbrawl match. They thought Because I was outnumbered I was gonna be a kill farm but they quickly found out I'm used to those odds.😂

if you had hitbox 2 there's a lot of shots I would've taken regardless, hitbox 2 is so large that you can hit things behind you with it.
that's why I don't like EML as it requires little effort and only use it as a weapon to just annoy people I don't like. but regardless, good job, I think that MiG-21 player was relying on the actual gunsight which is practically never accurate
I agree! EML would've been my last choice but I have that X-02S build for scenarios like this. You never really know when it can happen. Always good to be prepared.

Wait, AC7's multiplayer reputation is tarnished? How so? I don't play multiplayer because, honestly, I'm f***ing horrible at PvP games and perfer Co-op. (Didn't like Ace Combat Infinity's co-op though, since it was two teams competing against AI to get the highest score.)
From what I've seen and heard, what you saw you in this video is just one of many situations that have been occurring on a far greater scale. From people teaming to cheaters (on PC) utilizing all sorts of things that shouldn't be utilized in multiplayer. It's sad, really.
@@_Phantom_ Yes like infinite missiles and no reload on them. Most matches are almost unplayable now. You just get a F22's on the fringes endlessly spamming maxed out homing and speed upgraded 8AAMs with no reload
I tried hopping into AC7's multiplayer because I heard it was a good way to gain MRP. But jesus you just get absolutely mauled when you first get in there, it's impossible to know what you're doing right or wrong.
