people might learn quilting in mosque, temple, RUclips or 4H that is fine. But if you want to be serious, go get formal education. cooking, gardening, music are the same thing. Nothing beats a diploma or a degree. Support teachers!

Would you ever recommend cutting a t-shirt apart in order to use the pieces for your pattern?
Even finding current clothes that fit is a challenge.
