I bloody knew that Death would be a Scorpio ♏🦂 I didn't know about the white rose of his flag being a symbol of the Virgin Mary, I'd always just assumed it meant he's from Yorkshire 🐑 Another excellent vid 📼♥️
It is, indeed, the symbol of the Virgin Mary but he's still also from Yorkshire! This is a little known fact about Death that I sadly didn't have time to include. He also loves to watch the wrestling while he irons 💀🃏☆
Its extraordinary how different cultures throughout history have perceived and personified death, it’s fascinating how some are strikingly similar from cultures that couldn’t be any more different. This series never ceases to educate and entertain in equal brilliance.. absolutely stunning in every aspect as always, you truly are blossoming as a RUclipsr 🎉
Thank you so much for your wonderful words sir! It is a pleasure, albeit an utterly exhausting one, to produce this content. My only concern is that I may turn into an actual tarot deck at some point. Please let me know if I appear to be taking on card like characteristics 🃏☆
A wonderful mix of knowledge and humor. I have been studying and practicing the Tarot for 20+ years now I don’t need my reference book anymore for, interpretation of all the cards. Some of them though, I still do need to dust off my trusty Tarot Bible to get a better understanding of the card I need help interpreting for the querent or questioner. I am good but, still want to get better not needing a reference book at all. By doing readings for people and recording the meaning and considering the person’s question. I just found your RUclips channel and wish I had found it sooner. New subscriber ready to binge watch your videos
Thank you so much, I really appreciate your kind words! It sounds like you're doing great, I still find myself having a leaf through 78 Degrees or The Llewellyn Little Book of Tarot whenever I get stumped but I'm getting there 😅 I'm so glad you're enjoying the videos 😊☆
In all my searching, you're the only person so far to comment on The Moon's towers in the background. Could you elaborate more on their symbolism and meaning in regards to the Death card? Also, I'm really enjoying your series. Thank you!
Thank you! Waite refers to the sun rising between the 2 towers as "the sun of immortality". I've always taken it as the triumph of eternity over the ego, which views everything as a duality. Rachel Pollack says "Through Death we feel the radiant power of life, which knows only itself". Because the ego tends to resist all thoughts of Death we see it on the Moon card as a dark & fearful place but when we look at it in the context of the Death card it becomes a symbol that gives our lives meaning 🌞⛤
Wonderful video series of how to learn the Tarot. Great to see more male TarotTubers on here. Discovered your channel through the RUclips algorithm! 💪💪💪
Another one, very well done ❣ Thanks Kippi 🙂 ... Anyhow. For me the DEATH card resembles 'Pluto' not the sign of Scorpio par se for that Scorpios are the Alchemists of the zodiac, although many Scorpios are deeply affected by this death- and rejuvenation energy through-out their life while also at times can step in alignment with this power to help change/transform some one else.
Far out, I can see I'm gonna need to get my head around the zodiac at some point! I was quite drawn to this quote from Case 'All changes are primarily changes in mental imagery. Change the image and the external form will change'. I've become acutely aware of how reality is fluid and influenced by our state of mind 🃏☆
@@kippi - yes Kippi. 😊 Change and Tranformation is Pluto, and the Death of the Ego. The characters at the horses's feet all have different qualities, NOT just mental. Pluto is responsible for an entire make-over, you know. Mental is the realm of Mercury (air in GEM and earth in VIR - analyzing for counting 'the beans' 😃), and when talking about deception it's Neptune, never Pluto for that Pluto will shape and transform until the raw truth stands on its own, the notorious diamond, a being that under immense pressure and often very challenging life-situations may prevail, coming-out 'on top'! stronger than before and/or ever imagined and that, can only occur when all the lies, the deceptions and falseness, the scum has been removed, even the veil of Neptune that is more about dissolving anything or cloaking anything in ref. to this realm where we as humans are living. Neptune is all about the so called 'spiritual realm', where there are no boundaries, and here on earth in this meat-suit, the deception often is that people are taking drugs and other narcotics so to invoke a change in their perception, so to 'lift off the earth' while in extreme cases rejecting this material reality altogether, you know. Pluto brings clarity, takes the trash out, transforms what is still 'trans-form-able' 😉 and 'vaporizes'/discards the rest. It's the agent of purification! The DEATH-card is all about change, and this is the reason why this card also is in alignment with all the mutable zodiac signs in their modality as such, and that is Gemini (Mercury), Virgo (Mercury), Sagittarius (Jupiter), Pisces (Jupiter and Neptune). The HANGED MAN as a modality for the fixed zodiac signs, as The MAGICIAN is associated with the cardinal signs in their modality, depicting initiation through movement. Aries the initiation, conception and assertive movement of the life-force - baby-stage, still immature while taking the first steps in life, Cancer - the motion of feelings also being able evoke feelings in others on all levels, positive or negative, Libra - the movement of a thought/thoughts, the imprinting agents of an idea or a concept, also the mediator even as diplomats of the mental realm to take the lead, or control of it, Capricorn - the movement of mass, earth, also wanting to take control of it, the notorious saying 'some people can move mountains', you know. These cardinal signs are taking a first leap, are responsible as initiators in ref. to their elements - fire, water, air, earth. Scorpios are the Alchemists in their Avatars who may help doing the job of transformation, and often are transformed themselves for good or for worse, hence the SCO Card is XIV TEMPERANCE, also dealing with temperatures. When you look at this card, you see how the two cups held in her hands, they are streamlining the flow of life, of any type of energy for that water is a great conductor of energy, and SCO is a fixed Water-sign that is able to stabilize things, while the triangle pointing upward on her chest points to alchemical procedure of not only reminding on a 'furnace' but it's also about dealing in terms of recipes of correct measurements, so to also paying close attention to those 'mixed concoctions', studying them. On a deeper level, where you cannot see with the eyes, where matter/material isn't the thing because life happens 'behind the projection field of the obvious', it's this intuitive and sometimes psychic part that knows just how to come up with that what works, often no mind involved, because it's the connection to source that guides the being, if one is open for it, and able/sensitive to 'receive'. Hope this is helpful. Do you still have the short video by B.R. Taylor? ... who explains it so well of how the cards are associated with the planets and zodiacal signs? I know, you've started this series by three or four videos when I first mentioned it. Yet, as I Scorpio myself I can assure you that I relate much to the TEMPERANCE than the mere DEATH-card-expression although both work in union with each other. Maybe that's why they are in sequence with each other back-to-back, you know. Still, do not let this dis-encourage you. You are doing an amazing job with your presentation. 👍 The entire set-up of these short videos are extremely fun to watch 😃😘💖and you are truly showing up with a very unique style of giving a short overview about the cards themselves. Love the story-telling part at the beginning the most. No-one ever came up with such an idea, yet. - Love it! ♥
@Ya Love The qualities I tried to illustrate in the characters were the agrandisement of the king, the unshakable belief of the prelate, the innocence of the child and the partial innocence of the Maiden. Pollack says her ego isn't rigid like the priest but still aware of itself. That's why she turns away. I appreciate the correspondences you've made between the zodiac and the cards and I'm delighted that you've found a system that resonates with you. I found the video by B.R.Taylor to be very interesting and informative and I thank you for bringing it to my attention. However, as a practitioner of Ritual Magick and a follower of the Western Mystical Tradition I am bound to the system put forth by the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn from the Cipher Manuscrpits. Not only does this tie in with the asscociations to the Hebrew letters and Kabbalistic Tree of Life, but is also an integral part of my Ritual work and studies. As such the affinities I've deveoloped would make it impossible and a folly to abandon that now. In the words of Paulo Coelho 'No two paths are the same'. Blessings to you 🃏☆
@@kippi - Thank you for your elaborate response, Kippi. I see from what perspective you have worked this out. Yes, it would definitively not make any sense to 'abandon' the path of a system that you have studied for so long while other systems tie-in with it altogether. Glad that B.R's video-information was interesting for you to watch, nevertheless. 🙂 You see, I have been studying the Tarot-deck for almost forty years (Michael Tsarion goes deep into the each card as well), and while I also got deeper into Astrology it did not make sense to me the way most pair them up with the astrological signs and planets. It was an intuitive insight that I had since something felt off, and then I stumbled across B.R.s video material several years ago, and it was a match for me, especially since all Major Arcana Cards also relate to the Minor Arcana cards adding useful information and insights when keeping in mind, that for example the 3 of Pentacles is also related to the Empress III. The Venusian Energy of the Empress can be found and noticed within the 3 of pentacles, as wells as the 3 of coups, 3 of swords, and the 3 of wands strongly 'yes'' whereas the Taurus (ruled by Venus) energy shows up, too in ref to either 'pleasure' or pain, outer worldly values, the status quo, even in the 3 of wands (fire/spirit) where one waits for their ship to come-in, as for material manifestion in relation to energy placed forth in the past. The Hierophant definitvely depicts the Pope's Tiara, the Fish-God and also relating to the Age of Pisces. I meditated on this with about half of the deck (Minor Arcana), just to have it confirmed for me personally that the cards then work very well with Astrology. ... and as you say, 'No two paths are the same'. That's true, too.😊
No problem. I do find your astrological correspondences to be truly fascinating and I hope you're happy to continue sharing them here. Variety is most certainly the spice of life!
