Excellent trip report. I've been to England six times. My first trip was my birthday flying over from Seattle. I was slightly dead when we landed. I followed my friend out of Terminal 4 and when we got to the car I stood on the passenger side waiting for him to open the door. Except I was on the driver's side.
Happens to the best of us! Even if you spend a quarter of the year over there, like me, you still get confused!

Were you on an A350 or an A330 from ATL?
For those coming in from Walt Disney World, Virgin Atlantic maintained a remote check-in facility there one could check in their bags and go to the airport bag-free. This used to cost $10 per person but was waived for Upper Class passengers and those traveling on Virgin Holidays vacation packages. Not sure if it's still around.
those aren't USB-C outlets -it's a standard USB-A socket. and it isn't a "headphone jack input" - it's a headphone output.

Great review buddy! 👍. Glad you enjoyed it. We are flying upper in April (2024). I have seat 1A. I was wondering if your plane had to lift or the booth as it looks like we are flying on the A350-1000 with the booth. Never been on the plane with it and was wondering what it was like.

Just one question if I may, when you got off the plane did you get off 1st and which door/exit did you use?
Well I stuck around a bit to take photos but they let Upperclass deplane first. Everyone exited out of the L2 door.
