Looks great I have always wanted to go over there but just the expense of car and caravan was a little to high for me I will one day head over there. Well done good clip to watch.
Hi Gary. Ideal time would be early winter or late winter. It will not be too cold nor too warm. Though island weather is unpredictable. Also, camp fires are allowed during the colder months. Anytime outside of the school holidays will be a lot less crowded.
Kinda far from Minnesota, USA but maybe I can start driving and get there one day ;-) Looks super awesome! What kind of facilities were you talking about when describing bathrooms there? ..I didn't get the word you were using.
@@rolandhennig7757 they are just called restroom facilities with or without showers. Lots of state parks have shower facilities now too... Not just the major national parks. I have a shower kit in my 80 Land Cruiser and almost always camp in public land (dispersed camping) and not in the national parks. They are always too crowded for my taste.
I hate crowds too. Bush camping is always the best way. Most of our national parks (at least in South Aus) don't have showers because of the scarcity of water. Australia is the driest continent in the world and our state is the driest in Australia. Water is like gold :)
Thanks for the tips Duncan. We have just spent 12 days on KI and found your videos very helpful in the planning stages. I am especially grateful for the tips about the Chapman River. We had 2 wonderful nights there and caught some bream from that mystery free kayak at site #6
Glad the videos were helpful. It certainly is an awesome location to camp. The mystery kayak :D I was told it belongs to National Parks left there for campers. Not quite sure how accurate this is. I am sure you enjoyed the stretch of beach where Chapman river meets the Southern Ocean.
I guess Im randomly asking but does anyone know of a method to log back into an instagram account? I was stupid lost my password. I love any assistance you can offer me.
@Morgan Augustine thanks so much for your reply. I found the site through google and im in the hacking process atm. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Awesome video and so helpful thank you! Did you happen to see what Site 5 was like? 6 and 7 are booked out and We thought it looked similar to the site you had. You are right the website photos are average 😅
Hey Nath. Glad it was helpful. I did not pay too much attention to site 5. But from the little i remember it was not all that bigger than what we had (site 6). Should be fine for one vehicle. Hope this helps. Planning to go there?
Adelaide looks like such a beautiful place to roam around aye!!
It is a beautiful place. Best of all is a lot of these places are not too far from the main city.
We are blessed to live in this wonder full country.
You can say that again!
What a beautiful location to camp Duncan. What more do you want me life? Just beautiful
Absolutely!
Interesting and informative once again, thanks Guys. Thanks for sharing, take care and stay safe, Cheers.
Thanks mate. Glad it was useful.

The ferry fare can be on the high side. It is worth at least one trip. A unique location.
Very informative as usual. What time of year is best to go with less people?
