- Come along as I head to the Northwoods of Wisconsin for a night of camping in my truck.
I find a beautiful site overlooking a gorgeous lake and set up camp. I start a fire, make delicious wild turkey, fish for a bit, and end the night around the fire before hoping in my truck.

Oh man, I’m sorry to hear about your grandpa. Grandparents are so special. Their advice, the way they handle things, their energy and sense of humor, is priceless and special. They sort of keep the family together too. I like how he was watching hunting while you brought in the Turkey 😊

loved the video brother. that was awsome bringing that bird back to show your grandfather. i know the pain in loosing someone. never easy.1997 i was 8 years old. my brother and i found our grand father dead in a snow bank. lost my grandmother back in 06 and lost my mom that passed from caner in 2010. she was on hospice. i understand that feeling. pray for you and your family. that turkey looks delicious. love your recipes.

Ive camped along the Cape Cod Canal, Massachusetts and outside of Grand Junction Colorado. But your area looks badass too. Also just wanted to say, last video hunting with your dad, then baggin a bird to show your gramps. I lost all my grandparents by 9 years old, was taught fishing on a bamboo rod, and taught me gardening skills. At 45 years old now, the bamboo rod doesxnot get used, but he always saved tomato seeds from every year in his garden after he came back from WW2, i kept that going, and now use tomato seeds for over 40 years. Nice heirlooms. Thanks Weston for another great video.

This was the first time you've tried turkey gizzard and heart....that's crazy. I always eat them from all the game birds I harvest.

Pheasant hunt would be cool. My buddy in Colorado has a great recipe. Sliver up some garlic and make slivers in the meat, wrap with bacon and enjoy. Keep up the great videos my man.❤

I can definitely try to do a catch and cook soon! I’ve killed one wild boar and that was down in Florida. We don’t really have any wild boars around here but you are right it would be great! Love the emotion brother. I’m turkey hunting here in Michigan for the first time this year. My Grandpa died from cancer when I was ten. I never got to hunt anything with him and I’ve been carrying a picture of him and his last bird with me. Would mean the world to bag a bird with grandpas shotgun and box call.

Dude, why are you using a grill? You have a fire pit. Plus, that nasty charcoal lighter fluid is terrible for you health wise.
I appreciate your concern. I honestly just like the taste I get using a charcoal grill for that recipe. I could have done it all in the Dutch oven but I’ve always done it on a charcoal grill so I just stuck with it until the coals started to cool down. I do agree that lighter fluid can’t be any good for you but I also let it burn quite some time before adding any food so hopefully most of it burned off. @wesventures6426 OH, no worries. Yeah, charcoal does add a great flavor, but if you get a charcoal chimney starter, you'll find you can get a good quick even burn of the charcoal without having to use lighter fluid. That is very useful and cheap. Just use some paper towels or wood fibers, and it will take off all on its own.
