The Fire Brigade don't seem to be rushing to get in and make sure people are all out of those premises and deal with the fire! It took 5 minutes from the start of your video to even get a fireman in with a hose. One Firewoman was getting all the hoses out and other than the 2 kitting up in BA kit the others seemed to be standing around and joking around. The Police rock up 20 minutes later stand around and I'm assuming are provided free drinks by Costa! Appropriate background for the Police in the stills!

They kept the doors closed as much as possible to prevent oxygen feeding the flames and potentially forming a giant flashback. Anyone who saw the devastating damage the gas explosion in Edinburgh did this weekend, knows how brave the firefighters were in being up close to the incident. It was unnecessary for reckless police to stand staring at a smoking building, their sole job is to evacuate buildings nearby and keep the general public safe.
Yeah the oxygen feeding the fire thing doesn't really apply here, they were less than 10 seconds behind him. He could have held the door for them and they wouldn't have had as dense smoke to run through or had to scramble around inside trying to find the door handle.

Something I've always wondered with firefighters: if they can't see what's on fire inside a building, how do they know which stuff to use to put the fire out? For example, water is not used to put electrical fires out.

Always preferred Dutch rolled hoses myself, hated when running out a 'normally' rolled hose when it hadn't been rolled tight enough and I end up wearing the hose as an armband.

I tried to put our house fire out with our garden hose, once the curtains caught there was no saving it. I was in there long enough that I was coughing up fibres from the chair and couch for weeks. It was unbelievable how fast it went.

So you are right that it wasn't locked for those inside but it was locked for the firefighters outside.
