All you do with the arp studs is snug them down a little with the Allen key then tourk the nut brake it loose again then retourk it and that's the final tourk for the actual stud and nut
I'm really happy to see that you already thought of the MLS head gasket and ARP head studs for the B18B1. You're going to be so happy with that engine. It'll hold up to around 14-15 psi and make up to 350 whp in stock form with the supporting mods. I went the exact same route, but I went with a GSR trans. I got a B18B1 from a junkyard with 86k miles on it and I pulled it apart, cleaned EVERYTHING, hot tanked the block at work, put new gapped NPR rings in it, new ACL Race main and rod bearings, ARP main studs, ARP head studs, ARP rod bolts, new Cometic MLS head gasket, a fully built and ported B18B1 head with stage 2 turbo cams, and on stock PR4 rods and pistons I made 412 whp on an eBay turbo kit that I modified and Bosch 630cc injectors on 93 octane and it was street tuned by my buddy. That's a damn strong engine to make that much power with nothing more than a standard rebuild sprinkled with some aftermarket parts. I now have a fully built B18B1 with a Civic Type-R head and cams that made 508 whp so far.
@Dominique Rodriguez kindly fuck off. Itsabout supporting him, hes still only small so why expect a give away for your 1 like and 1 sub. Fuck off idiot and unsub cause we dont want people like you here.
Hey man not sure if you'll see this but when you take off the cams and pull the head bolts, you should un-torque them in the reverse order of the torque sequence. This keeps everything straight. I did it one time without doing it in reverse order on a cam cause I got lazy and it bent the cam. This was on my gsr. Never did that again lmao haste make waste. And you don't need to torque the studs in just get them hand tight and I usually add a quarter turn past hand tight, when you torque the nut on the stud itself will torque into the block. Also pro tip: to remove the cam caps tap each side repeatedly alternating between them with a rubber or aluminum mallet and they will slowly walk off.
One thing if you haven't thought about it is Put a good size Flat magnet on the oil pan just near the drain plug as possible. This way if for some reason there are shavings or metal that happens to end up in it, it will stick to the magnet and when its time to drain the oil first take out the plug then remove the magnet. That will allow any metal if any to follow out and not just sit in the oil pan. That is what I did to my truck motor that I rebuilt from the ground up this way its an added bit of protection.. Love your videos keep up the awesome work
Emerson is on point with buying tools like that. Literally how I’ve built my empire of tools I use. If you need it once, don’t borrow it just buy it, buy all of it hahaha you’ll use it further down the road!
Something in my day i always look forward to is your videos. You guys are awesome and if we ever crossed path i would over 9000% would ask for a selfie haha. Keep up the amazing videos!!!!
I was also nervous to do the cams on my 1st gen neon DOHC 2.0. Dont be scared. Just mark everything on a piece of cardboard or something. But never be scared it can only get better from here honestly
I'm really curious to know what part number is on the Felpro kit he got, I'm looking to rebuild my own B18 and would be interested in getting an all in ine kit right away
That bolt breaking told the camshaft in is a common problem with E Series just go out and get new ones I broke six of them while I was building my Integra motor it's a common hardware store item those bolts re torque to yield style bolt but none of the manual say it so when they get hot and cool down they become very brittle and they break
Please make a video specifically on the s300. I'm wanting to turbo my d16 EG Civic and use your videos as a template but I noticed you didn't have a whole lot of content covering tuning the s300
You REALLY need to get some assembly lube on those camshaft bearing surfaces! First start will cause some damage if you put them back in with insufficient lubrication!
@@nathankrouse9130 If you want to learn more about tearing down and rebuild Honda engines, check out Ericthecarguy and Honda Street Garage here on youtube. Eric has alot of "how to" videos, while HSG has alot of other type of videos about Honda engines.
Hey Robbie, I just thought, there should be a cover on B18 right above spark plugs cabels and it could be pretty cool, if you had a metalic cover with your name "CNCed" (? :D) in it?
Before I used BBQ cleaner on smaller motorcycle pistons to clean the carbon. Its made for cleaning carbon built up on BBQ's so should work on engines :p
Robbie, you should get arp rod bolts also. They’re weak on the b18b1s
SkumBoiz inc. I agree, even he’s not doing that better safe then sorry tho. That’s why I threw it out there lol
SkumBoiz inc. haha I know, I’ve had friends do it and done it myself 🤦🏻♂️

I had to stop my drivers ed for this video 😂 #notificationsquadddd 🔥
You guys just make me wanna build my own motor

I LOVE THE “Robbie Ferreira just uploaded” NOTIFICATION
❤️
You arent supposed to torque the studs down. Also that engine looked very clean. Not bad at all.
This was the comment I was looking for
3 years later i find this video and almost died watching this kid torque the studs into the block lmao!!
Everybody click on ads so Robbie gets money for a new house.
Hell yeah dude and watch it to the end that helps too
I’m gonna start doing this.
@Dominique Rodriguez kindly fuck off. Itsabout supporting him, hes still only small so why expect a give away for your 1 like and 1 sub. Fuck off idiot and unsub cause we dont want people like you here.
@Dominique Rodriguez I agree with the other guy, fuck off.
Dominique Rodriguez everyone report this waste of sperm

This should be the top comment.
You should change the timing belt! Not sure on hondas but most motors if they break the valves hit the pistons and can do a bunch of damage!
Correct they need to go ahead and do that and the water pump. Its an interference motor.
Yeah, hondas hate timing belts. and most cars hate waterpumps.
Another quality video from Robbie. Lots of respect for your dedication, keep up the good work.
Each time I watch a video I feel like I'm actually there with you guys

I love this building I'm gonna rewatch the whole thing again
You're the only youtube that I constantly wait to watch every video is so good
thank you ❤️ honestly crazy for me to hear
Are you going to give jasmine a real wing? Cuz i think a chassis mounted wing would look sick on there.
Emerson is on point with buying tools like that. Literally how I’ve built my empire of tools I use. If you need it once, don’t borrow it just buy it, buy all of it hahaha you’ll use it further down the road!
Are you guys not putting any assembly lube on your bearings before you crank everything back down?
Hope you torqued head stud bolt after a few miles...also valve lash adjustment
my girlfriend wasent too happy when i told her i have to turn off Netflix for this
but I am happy, soooo that's what matters right?😉
Feel u
Saaaaame lol
That paint looks sick. That's what I plan to do to my LS swap project. It's a 95 s14 zenki.
I can’t wait to see the swap happen! I want to do a 4AGE swap into a corolla so I’m stoked to watch the process!
Weeaboo?
Guillermo José Paul need some Eurobeat power obviously
I've seen this kind of channelgrowth before ;) calm before the storm, great video dude. Keep em coming🤙🏻
Morning coffee and a new video from Robbie repairs (and Emmerson does it) 😎 #Staycommitted

That paint is 🔥
My civic I totaled a week ago had a sticker like that and it was such a cool little thing
I'm really curious to know what part number is on the Felpro kit he got, I'm looking to rebuild my own B18 and would be interested in getting an all in ine kit right away
Im curious which mounts you got
Ran Fel-Pro on my b18b1 then 3 months later blew and then switch to cosmetic head gasket hasn’t blew

you have no idea how much i love your videos, keep it up
❤️
Man I love this build
Maybe I missed something but what exactly happened to the rally build?
Soo im curious about the mileage on the b18 and also wondering if you will paint the civic black for the sake of having the full body match colours
You said your motor was leaning down... your upright post on your stand is backwards!! Lol I did the same with mine. Keep up the good work
Are you going to put on some light weight aluminum cam pullys
Was deep in another video and immediately switched over when the notification popped up. 😂
that is what I like to hear ❤️
Keep up the good work!!! Love your vids!
Notification gang
Love the videos, k going to watch now
When are the hats dropping in the store? I need them for reasons
Hey Robbie I love your stuff, keep up the good work
You should make the hood, front fenders, bumper black like the bay.
Dude your civic is dope 🤤🤤
Can't wait for tuning parts to be installed :D
So excited to see the civic rebuilt!
I’m always jumping to RUclips when I see the notification 😂😂
I'm hype you're keeping the Canada stickers
About time I love your vids bro you always make my day amazing with new one🤩
Broooo Hell yeah! LiquiMoly is the shit! I use it in ALL my cars
Where can you get that paint. I looked online and they only have the clear coat with that rainbow metallic effect
I got it at lordco but they are BC only so I am not sure !

Do you guys use snap-on tools ; if not what tools do you guys use?
Rear wheel drive conversion?
Waiting to watch this video on the big TV when I get back home from doing errands
Aww yeah I'm ready
Lol give this comment a hart.
(You're the best car RUclipsr😀)
Please make a video specifically on the s300. I'm wanting to turbo my d16 EG Civic and use your videos as a template but I noticed you didn't have a whole lot of content covering tuning the s300
I’m first!!! The paint look super nice
This Man(+Emerson) needs to hit 1 mil subs
The new engine bay color is so sweet
You should use paint to mark the timing belts
Are you guys painting the block?
No thread locker or gasket sealer used?
The thread grease that ARP supplied was used, that's all your supposed to use!
Have you considered putting GSXR carburetors on it?
can i ask you how u know all this about cars? tune, rebuilding motors etc ? youtube, friends or school ?
BRO IM A NEW SUB !! Love the vids
THANK YOU FOR SUBBING!!
You REALLY need to get some assembly lube on those camshaft bearing surfaces! First start will cause some damage if you put them back in with insufficient lubrication!
What ever happened to the Subaru rally build?
He sold it as far as i know
Shaggy Tabak NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Love you bro, no homo,
Keep up the great work
No homo
*n o h o m o*
Where did you figure out how to take engines apart?
Your watching me figure it out😂 find the bolts that look like they hold shit together and take them out!
Robbie Ferreira I guess I’ll try that lol
@@nathankrouse9130 If you want to learn more about tearing down and rebuild Honda engines, check out Ericthecarguy and Honda Street Garage here on youtube. Eric has alot of "how to" videos, while HSG has alot of other type of videos about Honda engines.

staggered wheels are the business
What is the part # for the arp
Hey Robbie, I just thought, there should be a cover on B18 right above spark plugs cabels and it could be pretty cool, if you had a metalic cover with your name "CNCed" (? :D) in it?
before notification gang!
Will you guys be attending Driven Calgary?
you bet!
Haven’t seen the video completely but ooohhhhh man jasmine gonna be a monster
damn right she is!!!
Idk what it's called, but can't you get a clear cover for the belts and such? Because that would be sick.
You robbie ❤ noti squad
Also. Emerson, has no one taught you about double nutting studs to loosen and tighten them?
Is a mazda mx 3 a good first car rebuild project at age 14?
I would probably go for an MX6
Every time I see you open up a motor gets me hyped up cause I'm about to rebuild my motor
Any tips (apart from staying committed)
Work clean and take your time
don't rush, stay organized! put all nuts and bolts in their own ziplock baggies
Before I used BBQ cleaner on smaller motorcycle pistons to clean the carbon. Its made for cleaning carbon built up on BBQ's so should work on engines :p
Committed Crew!
You guys ever take some liquid Molly and go to rave s
When is insta gonna get a sneak peek at the widebody?
I need to get my hands on it first 😂
I went out for dinner with my parents today and the waiter had the same mountain tattoo as you and Courtney
You should paint the block silver
I might be wrong but I’ve heard to not use WD40 on internal engine parts.
FRS JAKE correct, it corrodes over time
Going by fast!
you should of made a purpule and gray combo looks fire tho🔥🔥🔥
You can use brake clean on the heads
2nd viewer, guess i got your schedule down. Excited for the B18 build, may be building my integra the same way
Hello Robbie. Where can i find a playlist of the songs/beats in your videos? :-)
Bro, those cam cap bolts are only supposed to be torqued down to 7 ft lbs. I've done it before too. Even with my Integra Type-R head. I almost cried.
Do NOT over torque cam cap bolts!!
And ur suppose to put oil in between each cam cap
