He also suggested giving the coordinates of Achievelantis, something that nobody else suggested, even having Gavin and Jack in the same game. I have new respect for him.

So Ryan was right in his directions. The location of the sun is relative to you in Minecraft, it will be in the exact same direction for everyone. It's why looking at the sun didn't help Geoff, because the sun looks the same from wherever you are in the Minecraft world. The Sun is in that direction, you need to go towards the sun, it doesn't make a difference if the sun is going up or down. When it gets past noon, and the sun is behind you, you are already walking in the right direction, it doesn't matter anymore.
"That sounds like a version dispute in the same map." That's actually a very knowledgeable correct answer, but the way Gavin said it sounds like he was trying to sound stupid. XD
