That move to Bh7 and back to d3 was a game-changer! I always hesitate to give up a tempo like that, but it totally paid off. It put their king in a tough spot and caused a pain in the seventh rank later on. Awesome game, Arturs!"
This is my favorite type of content. 36 minutes of diving deep into the details of a beautiful game, whether it was played by GMNeiksans or someone else, and explaining the ideas in a way that even an amateur player can understand. Very instructive and very entertaining.
I love the subtle smirk he always gives when he describes himself as the leading Latvian grandmaster. Like he finds that description of himself hilarious or something 😅.
@@GMNeiksansThere are only about 1800 GMs in the entire world… anyone who is the leading grandmaster in any country should be justly proud… especially if the country is a European country with a long chess history. 99.99% of your viewers understand this because it’s obvious. So please don’t let any snide or inappropriate comments get you down.. your demeanor and channel content are GREAT!
Really appreciated you going deep into Kh5 attacking the bishop. When I play London, I find this to be a very annoying position. And then you brought back perspective by saying "fun way to play, but not keeping control"
I am 2306 fide and in the past I always thought this Carlsbad stuff is the most boring stuff ever but this game for example shows how white can outplay black and dominate him in an aesthetic way and that Carlsbad is not necessarily boring at all :-)

@@rocinante666 Thank you!
This is a great format where you talk about your own games and decision making. I’d love to see other games you played in different lines as well

Bh7+ is the Petrosian check! A la Petrosian - Taimanov, 1955. Great stuff and nice conversion in the Carlsbad.

I remember when people waited eagerly for the lasted comment of Shackmanty Bulletin (sp).
Pleasure to watch and learn
Thank you for the [grand]master class. I learnt a lot.
31:37 you drop a rook to Rh2+
Yes, fair point - I just did not believe in the line.
Can you explain the symbols that kept showing up on the board?

Me watching as a hard locked 400 ELO 🤓
