    Sorry I'm commenting all over the place, but so this one I see does not have a usb type charger which might be problematic for me traveling in and out of the US unless I perhaps buy a charger separately. Maybe on with a charging USB case might actually be the smartest move... I'm gonna check out the oral b ones as well to see their charging options...

      84 eur over here. It better be every bit as good as they make it out to be because thats like 5 years worth of manual toothbrushes.

      Great channel I will be subscribing and coming here for more questions. It's my first purchasing electric toothbrush because of sensitive gum lines. I fell in love with the sonic toothbrush 5100. Will be trying Oral B next!

    How exactly do I charge this toothbrush? I'm from the UK and the plug this toothbrush comes with looks like it's meant to be plugged into a USA socket (it has 2 legs). Is there some other model I can look at or a fix for this?

    • @ElectricTeeth
      @ElectricTeeth  10 месяцев назад

      The adapter provided is for a shaver socket found in many UK bathrooms that uses 2 pins. If they are round they are UK. US are flat 2 pins.
      You can buy 2 pin to 3 pin adapters from good electronics stores or online. These allow you to connect the charger to a 3pin UK socket.

    What is the speed of this one? Is it the fastest of the 6100?

    • @ElectricTeeth
      @ElectricTeeth  3 года назад

      They all have the same motor offering 31,000 brush strokes/62,000 movements per minute.

    Doesn't mention how noisy the brush is. Makes a loud buzzing noise. I have used other sonic toothbrushes that do not make as much noise.

    • @ElectricTeeth
      @ElectricTeeth  5 лет назад +3

      Hi Marion. Thanks for the feedback. The brush does make a buzzing noise. It is quieter than Oral-B toothbrushes, but this 5100 is no louder in my opinion than any other Sonicare model.
      Other sonic toothbrushes I have tested make a similar sound, I have not used many that are much quieter.
      Which models have you used that are much quieter?

      @@ElectricTeethhello! May I ask what is the difference between the modes? Can I use the ‘white’ mode to clean my teeth instead of using clean mode?

  • @D0991N

    Can you use compatible brush heads with this?

    • @ElectricTeeth
      @ElectricTeeth  4 года назад +1

      You can, but be aware that the brush head replacement reminder system will not work when using compatible brush heads.

    Really wish you would come off the fence and say which is better oral b or sonicare

    • @ElectricTeeth
      @ElectricTeeth  5 лет назад +3

      I am sorry if you feel I am too on the fence. This is because it really is difficult to say which is better as what makes one better than the other is different for different people.
      Some might think one is better because it is cheaper, whilst another will think it is better because it has more features.
      If we look at the clinical evidence, Oral-B wins.
      I personally prefer the cleaning action of Oral-B too.
      However, I believe Sonicare have some great touches that make their products look and feel better.
      You might find the following article helpful, where I compare the 2 brands and give further explanation, based on certain decision factors.

      I am more than happy to answer any specific questions you may have.
