2 days after launch... My Disney+ apps are finally working well, but I had to order a new Roku. I tried to download the Disney+ channel on my Roku 2 XS [3100X] [2011 model], but it would not install. Roku has decided to no longer update the OS for that model, probably for technical reasons. You need a Roku which runs or is able to update to OS 9.2 (check in Settings>System Update) for the Disney+ channel to install and run. I was going to get a new Roku before too long anyway, so it was not a big problem. Hopefully my new Roku Ultra [2019 model] will last at least as long the old one did before I have to upgrade.
@@jarencascino7604 Yes but why they do not post all their trailers on their channel like netflix or hulu do. And from what i know, marvel's shows trailers are posted on netflix channel, not on the marvel one.
Yoda alright hate to break this to y’all. Disney is ending the skywalker saga so they can distance themselves from George Lucas’s Star Wars. When Disney bought Star Wars, George Lucas sold them three scripts for the sequel trilogy which they then discarded. When George Lucas was brought in to preview the Force Awakens George was hurt that they had trashed his scripts and instead just recycled stuff from the OT. That info is from Bob Iger’s (CEO of Disney) memoir btw. #2 they are quite literally killing the past by writing off all the high dollar, iconic, original cast like Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill. #3 Star Wars the Clone Wars. I LOVED that show, watched it every Saturday. Disney immediately canceled it when they acquired Lucasfilm and killed the animation division. (That’s why Star Wars rebels animation looks so bad) George Lucas and Dave Faloni co-wrote the show and crafted the prequel universe into something amazing. Disney killed the past (Star Wars the Clone Wars) in favor of the future (Star Wars rebels). Now you might say, well Star Wars the Clone Wars is coming back for season 7, Disney is reviving it. This is only half true. Season 7 is actually the second half of season 6 which had already been given animatics and voice acted at the time of cancellation. Which is why season 7 dosent have a lot of episodes. This is also why we have already seen the Bad Batch story arc in animatics at previous Star Wars celebrations. Disney essentially is just finishing up a little bit of animation to beef up their roster for the upcoming release of Disney+ and to trick some die hard Clone Wars fans into getting a subscription. They are also completely killing that show at the conclusion of season 7 as well (Lucas and Faloni have both stated how they had planned for the series to have 9 seasons and end with order 66. That won’t be happening under Disney.) #4 Disney cuts out old Star Wars and goes back on it when it dosent work. Going back to Star Wars rebels, season 1 was a complete and utter flop b/c they cut out all the George Lucas era Star Wars stuff. Following seasons were just damage control trying to save ratings. This is why Asoka, Rex, Darth Maul, General Kalani, and Hondo were later introduced. Let’s look at episode 8 and 9. The last Jedi gave the finger to all the original ideas of Star Wars by making Luke (the next chosen one) a depressed old man, making the leader of the rebels a purple haired feminist who defied all logic by not sharing her plan with the rest of her crew. And now Rose Tico. They have done it. They created a character worse than Jar Jar Binks. We spend half that movie dealing with animals’ rights. Great. Rian Johnson made a “new” Star Wars which moved away from the classic story of good and evil to a story of 2018 political correctness. If I wanted to watch that I’d turn on the news. Again, in episode 9 we can see Disney doing damage control by bring back Lucas era Star Wars with all the OT ships, Emperor palpatine, Lando, and the Death Star to an extent. All that to say, Disney is killing the past but they are doing it poorly. So they have to do damage control and do fan service by bring back the Lucas era content like the Clone Wars and palpatine. Essentially, Disney would kill old Star Wars if they could. #5 I’m not a Disney hater before that is thrown in my face and I’m completely written off. Garth Edwards’ rogue one is one of my favorite movies of all time b/c it introduced new characters but was still respectful of George’s classic narrative of good vs. evil. #6 if you have read all of this and still think Disney is not trying to kill George Lucas’s Star Wars, you have drank too much of the kool-aid

I'm a little disappointed. I paid vote the annual service hoping it'll be better than what it is. So far there really isn't much. I'm guessing they're still working on the app to stream more than what's available.
Hey, i'm a fan channel of disney + gathering all teaser, trailers, interview and preview from the upcoming services awating disney to post these videos on disney plus channel
Seriously, this just p-sses me off. I already have Netflix and Hulu to legally obtain content. Why do I want to pay every bloody provider individually; I might as well go back to cable if that's going to be the way it is. I hope you realize that this is just fostering people going to alternate methods.... Money grabbing a-holes.
@BlackButterCrunch Unless you missed it, let me repeat: "If I want to watch a legal version where the creator gets credited, yes they are" To me, that sounds like I want to do "the right thing" and watch it in a way that they get credited, via standard services already established and not fixated on just one publisher. Alternatively, if they want me to find "alternative means", then they're heading in the right direction.
@BlackButterCrunch Ah, ok, you're a freeloader, now I understand why this doesn't worry you. Freeloaders won't be impacted much here at all. For us adults who actually pay for things, this is a serious trend that is not at all healthy.
@BlackButterCrunch ...says the guy who borrows someone else' Netflix and Hulu instead of paying for their own? Tell me how this doesn't make you a freeloader? And for that matter, unless you haven't being paying attention (and I'm not suggesting you could), I'm talking about having to cover multiple services here as being a problem. You're the one suggesting that everyone borrow from their mate, instead of paying their way.
@BlackButterCrunch Ok. Let's do some analysis of what you've said and what I've said You said "I don't pay for Netflix or Hulu my friends let me use theirs". I responded that as a freeloader, you're not impacted by mounting costs for services when compensation was already significant the previous way (via NF or Hulu). You said "please tell me more about how I am a freeloader that doesn't pay for anything" I responded by pointing to your own words. You do not pay for the services that you use. Netflix has a clear TOS that is agreed to when signing up, and I'll quote “personal and non-commercial use only and may not be shared with individuals beyond your household”. Are you in the household of your friend? Hulu has different tiers that cost more. More devices, more cost. So your buddy is actually paying for your subscription. As to calling you a freeloader, you are defining yourself as one. Per Merriam-Webster, the definition of a freeloader is "to impose upon another's generosity or hospitality without sharing in the cost or responsibility involved". Your friends Hulu and Netflix. Not only do you not help shoulder the cost, but you're allowing your friend to be accountable for a TOS that will have them banned from Netflix.

It’s reasonable that Disney would make a subscription service since they own like 21% of the world while the other 79% is just water
I feel like soon Cartoon Network might think of that idea in the future as well
Once the intro is done. The loading screen will pop up then the profile selection screen will show up.
