Cobra Kai proves this guy has range as an actor. It's sad he was typecast as a bully in his prime. Well, it's never too late to achieve success!! Im glad he's getting all the success he deserves with Cobra Kai now
Can't believe they made him look like the a-hole in this movie. I do agree though his acting is above par. I just hate seeing his role as the bad guy though.

If Greg called Johnny a pussy he would kick his ass and then beat his friends with help from his friends. Zabka does great in this film too but in my opinion Johnny would own Greg anytime.
Zabka would be 20 years old here.I remember seeing a movie 🎦 with him in it from 1995, called,The Power ⛮ Within, he was about 30 years old. And. naturally, he was a villain in this movie as well!!
So Johnny Lawrence got embarrassed so hard by Daniel Larusso, that he moved to another city and high school and legally changed his name to Greg... But learned nothing and forgot Karate 😐
I am definitely going to refer to the San Fernando Valley as nothing but the All Valley from here on in, _especially_ when visiting there. It's canon now
I don’t know about that. He played Robert McCall’s son in The Equalizer and he was really good when he was in it. In fact, he was so good that the production company wanted to keep the show going and replace Edward Woodward with Zabka as the lead actor. The network didn’t bite, but that was a pretty big vote of confidence in him at the time.
During the final fight scene in Karate Kid between Johnny & Daniel, Billy's mum was an extra as one of the audiences. She cried for real when the other extras had to booed him after he's supposed to play dirty against Ralph/Daniel. She also tried to convince other extras that Billy is actually a good boy & not a bully.
That's one that I never understood why William was always cast as the bully for films he was never cast as any other type of character even though he has a lot of talent. You know it's just like the actor who played Mini-Me before he died he was talking about the exact same thing how he was only casted for characters that required small people that he was never casted as any other part except for that. You know it's just like with Chris Farley he was always casted as characters who were overweight and who were high out of their mind and you wonder why Chris Farley died from an overdose. Anybody is capable of playing any character but the fact that we just label People based on characters they played in the past that's pretty degrading on the actor and actress it can really f****** your self-esteem
It's called typecasting and it's always been a problem in the industry, especially once a performer is known as a certain character. Some performers are lucky and are able to break out of the typecasting and get other kinds of roles while some have a harder time of it. Before his death, Robin Williams had trouble being recognized as a serious actor as well as a comedic actor until "Good Will Hunting" even though he did do some serious movies before that. Jim Carrey also did at least serious movies that I'm aware of which I have seen 2 of and still have to see the third. I enjoyed the two serious movies I saw and thought he was really good in them, but they bombed in the theater (most likely because people expected a comedy instead of a drama). I think part of the problem with typecasting is the general public because for a lot of people; when they see a performer's name on the cast list, they presume the movie is a certain genre. Take Dwayne Johnson for example. If someone sees his name on the cast list and doesn't know much else about the movie (I know that's less likely now than in the 1990s or earlier because most people have some kind of internet access even if it's just on their phones), are they more likely to think of it being an action movie or a comedy where he has to be a tooth fairy or a comedy where he's taking care of a kid and does ballet?
@@Actrs12B When you get typecast in a certain type of role its probably a good idea to take a risk on a smaller movie that will help people see you in a new light. Even if that role doesn't pay as much as the typecasted role. Sometimes you just have to bet on yourself and do the thing that's a better long term decision..
@@joemckim1183, I agree with you and I have always disliked that typecasting was a thing because I think a lot of performers would rather be known as a versatile actor rather than a specific type of character. I have had a fascination with the entertainment industry since I was a kid so I started researching it when I was in 5th grade (in the mid 1980s). Even though I don't like that typecasting exists, I admit that I've had times myself where I saw a name on the cast list and presumed it was a certain type of movie. That happened when "Showgirls" came out. The only thing I knew about it was Elizabeth Berkeley was in it. Since I was only familiar with her from "Saved by the Bell" and I knew the term showgirl basically meant someone who performed in musicals, I thought the movie was going to be something along the lines of "A Chorus Line".
