Speaking as someone who hasn't played Vintage Cube in ages, isn't Preordain just an OK card? I'd think that securing some (even mediocre) fixing is generally more important when it seems like the deck is going to be 3 colors.
@@WelkinShaman it's much better than OK. It's a very good card, second only to Ponder (or situationally Brainstorm) in terms of one mana cantrips. Makes your opening hands better, can help you find the cards you need at any point in the game for low cost. They are both one mana investments in a way if you consider that Shores comes into play tapped much of the time.
@@JBH2989 Sure, cantrips are generally good cards and Preordain belongs with the best of them. But in a deck like the one that Numot was building (which wasn't leaning towards hardcore combo or tempo but was more midrange-y), I don't think cantrips really shine. Having an at least OK mana base seems much more crucial than picking up cantrips when building such a deck.
Yeah that was a whack pick, Preordain is so much stronger in Vintage Cube than most other places, because: A.) the card quality is so high B.) your deck is so smol Dramatically increases the likelihood of doing the broken thing you set out to do with your deck, as well as increasingly the likelihood of a functional game.
MTGO is rigged. The active user numbers are also fake. I've never seen those numbers before 13k active players from 4k. No way Daybreak found 200% increase of players for a dying game and that 13,616 users stay the same. People don't sleep? All these player usernames are also sketchy AF.
@user-df3op4jz1f What I meant was what if a lot of those people used their free one but didn't finish their leagues? Then it would show more active players than are actually playing
@35:17 it is a win. You can respond to Seal by sacrificing LED, then you can cast Oracle again.
That was a super tough draft, no clear signals anywhere
Darkslick shores over preordain is wild

I thought the same
"will to live" removal is the best kind of interaction
You draft the fun and creative decks
Thumbnail game strong
Always fun to see. Thanks. Great work and awesome content.
I wanted to see this deck go off with teferi + displacer kitten + lotus petal into thoracle but you passed the kitty 😭
and my axe!
Vintage cube is the best yeah !!!
Game two was tough, Game three...wow.
Power Level of the Vintage Cube, huh? 😅
Wouldn't you still have jace @35:30?
Good lord MTGO looks dinkier than I remember.

Could it have anything to do with everyone getting a free cube draft? Does active mean they haven't finished their league?
@thebrowningfarm Are they giving out free tokens every day? Nope.

@@thebrowningfarm Come on bro it's been over a month.
