@@ryansaulsbury-qb9sj I’ve been loving the tails - you can achieve very similar movement with a rabbit strip for the tail, but the dragon tails have a little better profile and are a really good alternative any time you want to reduce the weight as they hold far less water.
@@LetYourSpiritFly Thanks brotha 🙏 The rabbit hair was tricky in the dubbing loop when I first started - it wants to fall out. Wax definitely helps, but make sure that the loop is pulled extra tight before you release the hair from the tweezers/materials clip
Thank you! You could use a regular rabbit strip and achieve a very similar effect. Check out the "Arctic Hare Jig" tutorial in my Vise Pricinples playlist - I used a rabbit strip for the tail in that one
Getting the rabbit hair into the dubbing loop can be tricky - it's a delicate process. Using the Loon material tweezers or a Swiss CDC multi-clamp is good idea, and the dubbing wax will help keep the hair from falling out as you adjust it into position. The biggest thing is the make sure that you keep strong tension on the dubbing loop so that the hair doesn't move. I just had to fail a couple times and waste a little rabbit hair to get it right, and now I don't have much trouble with it. Thanks for watching!
@@seaneeeg1 Unfortunately I don’t have the time to tie for sale - I wish I did. There is a chance to win these though - I am putting 3 of them in the 100 jig giveaway that’s coming up 👍
Those dragon tails look amazing with the rabbit.

Good stuff man!! I’m definitely going to have to try using rabbit hair in a dubbing loop now 😁👍

@@girlfinfishing Thank you! Getting into tying is one of the best things I’ve done in the past year for sure 💯
Killer jig bro! You know any more cost friendly alternatives for the dragon tail?
Could I just use some yarn?
