NCT is a group of 18 members that is divided into three units. NCTU (Which is a rotational unit, the members change every single comeback), NCT127 (With nine members so far, they tend to keep on adding members to this unit), and NCTDREAM (Members of this unit are the teenagers of NCT). The members came from SM Rookies and they plan to keep on adding members. They have many foreigner members (Half of NCT is foreigner, from USA, Canada, China -5 members-, Thailand, Japan) and the reason for that is that they are able to promote themselves worlldwide. I think I'm missing some facts but at least I got your questions kind of answered 😂

*TO CLEAR UP ANY CONFUSION ABOUT NCT:* NCT is all of the members of the 3 sub units (NCT U, NCT 127, NCT Dream). The members are interchangeable as some members are in multiple sub units (Mark is in all 3, Taeyong is in 2, etc). NCT 127 is usually the group of main focus, then Dream, then U. And most of the time they only perform all together as a group (just NCT) when they dance at award shows or something. The ENTIRE group of NCT has 17 members (with a few waiting to debut) and all those members perform in the different units.

You've probably already been told but nct dream is made up of the youngest members of nct with the oldest being mark who was born in 1999 or 98 I can't remember which 😂 but they are all crazy young and crazy talented!

Quick rundown of NCT (currently has 18 total members but are broken down and promote as subunits).
NCT U is a rotational unit meaning that the members change for every comeback. Their debut with The 7th Sense consisted of Taeyong, Mark, Jaehyun, Doyoung, Taeil (was in Without You) and Ten. Timeless is just Doyoung, Taeil and Jaehyun (Kun too if you count the Chinese version). Boss comeback has Taeyong, Mark, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Lucas (new), Jungwoo (new), and WinWin. Baby Don't Stop has just Taeyong and Ten.
NCT 127 is a set group with a total of 9 members. Taeyong, Johnny, Mark, Yuta, Jaehyun, Doyoung, Taeil, Haechan, and WinWin.
NCT Dream is all of the minors. Chenle, Mark (last year with them), Renjun, Haechan, Jeno, Jisung and Jaemin.
There's also a new member debuting, Kun, but we don't know what subunit he's going to be a part of yet.

First I just want to say I'm grateful you gave this song a listen, especially being that NCT Dream is geared more towards the youth (young teens) so not many people give them a listen. I just want to repost something I said on Dezzy March's reaction video to this mv because I think it's relevant and gives a little insight into the sound they created for this comeback.
"This comeback was especially meaningful for not just the fans, but also NCT Dream because it marks the return of the FULL seven member group (they were previously working as only six) because Jaemin was finally able to return after a long period of health complications that he had to recover from. He was only actively a part of Chewing Gum and has missed every NCT Dream comeback until Go. This was not only a showcase of how grown they are becoming (almost all the members will be 18 this year with the exception of Chen Le and Jisung) but it also showcases they are not just "little kids" performing bubble gum pop songs. They can do mature concepts without overstepping boundaries (being that they are still young). They are trying to prove they are individuals as much as they are a strong knit group. This is a part of the reason I love and appreciate every unit within NCT, especially NCT Dream because even with the odds stacked against them (as they get a lot of shit for being young kids) they still do their best to show us they are growing and are fully capable of releasing quality music with astounding effort."
NCT Dream is a unit under the full group NCT, just as U & 127 are. There will be more unit's that will debut as well as more members debuting within the units. The structure for NCT is that they are one group with many units who cater to different types of sounds and styles. Each unit having their own unique sound that is set apart from the rest (though with NCT dream their unit is more guided and directed towards the youth than they are adults but as the members get older their sound has shifted). It's speculated that SM intends to eventually have 40+ members in NCT, however I'm not sure if they will be introducing a graduation system (meaning older members will 'graduate' from the group as new, younger members, come in) like some other companies have in the past. No one really knows the set future for NCT but I'm going to be supporting each and every one of them with every comeback released and unit that debuts.

LMAOO *INSERT DOYOUNG PASIONATELY EXPLAINING NCT* NCT is the brand name, all of them are NCT, NCT 2018 represents the members that will promote under the brand name of NCT during this year (hence the 2018), next year it will be NCT 2019 and so on, NCT U stands for NCT united which means that this group is basically for all the members but not all promote in it at the same time, all songs by NCT U will change members each time a new song comes out (thats why BOSS has many members in it while Baby Don't Stop is only a duet with Ten and Taeyong) NCT 127 is their group based in Seoul (127 are the coordinates for Seoul) this group will mainly base their promotions in Seoul Korea, just like there is an NCT 127, the fans expect a NCT CHINA soon because there are currently 5 NCT members who are Chinese, NCT DREAM are NCT members who are still in their Teens, sort of like a graduating system, once you are no longer a teen you leave NCT dream and Join another Group. NCT is just the whole group in general (meaning the whole of the members) and then you have the sub units- which each member belong to, some members may be in just one of the sub units or half or all but NCT is just one big band with different units
NCT stands for neo culture technology and has 3 cub units (so far) NCT U was the first, NCT DREAM, NCT 127. NCT DREAM totally changed it' concept if you watched their previous MVs (they hit puberty but are still little babies.)

An Introduction of NCT Concept
NCT is a whole group by itself, but they don't make any own songs. Apart from thee seasons of NCT LIFE [V-Live], a comedy show featuring various members, taking place in different countries, are occasions as dance-stages with all members, and casual live streams, the group is usually not promoting as a whole.
However, there is going to be another sub-unit debuting called NCT2018, obviously only for this year, featuring all members of NCT that have already debuted, and maybe even some new rookies.
In addition to NCT U's "BOSS", NCT U's "Baby Don't Stop", and NCT DREAM's "GO" there will be three more MVs released, six in total, and then NCT will publish the first whole-group album.
Trainees revealed to be apart of the male SM Rookies [SMRB] are generally intended to debut in one of the sub-units.
The sub-units debuted by now are:
NCT 127:
- Based in Seoul [127 being coordinates]
- Mainly promoting in Korea
- Only Korean Songs
- Even though there was one line-up change in the past, no further changes are intended
NCT U:
- Flexible group
- Group's line-up and concept changing every comeback
NCT DRREAM:
- Teenagers of the NCT group
- Mainly promoting in a sweet, childish concept
- GO MV is an exception made for the upcoming mixed album
- How SM will treat the aging/ maturing of the teenagers or new teenagers being added to NCT is not official yet. Since Leader Mark is turning 19 soon, SM will probably make an announcement regard that topic.
Further Sub-units to debut:
NCT CHINA:
- A Sub-unit consisting of the chinese members of NCT
- Mainly promoting in China
- Probably Chinese Songs
And more sub-units based in different regions of the world, probably beginning with more Asian countries.
NCT is often introduced as the group with endless boundaries, as there are basically no impossibilities. Lee SooMan repeatedly said that the group is still to grow an the concept isn't fully exploited yet. Further plannings on NCT's future aren't known to the public. As typical to Lee SooMan, updates will probably happen near-term to the action.

Such as Taeyong, he is part of Nct u and 127
Or Mark, he is part of all three u its, or will be until he leaves dream because of his age.
Side note, the members in dream are all teenagers, they have to be teenagers to be in dream. So once they turn 20, they leave dream and if they are not in a different unit already, are slotted into one of the 2 other sub units, under ncts line up.

the idea of nct is so incredible but most people are too lazy to at least try to understand and get to know them. basically it's a rotational group with incredibly diverse people and they have no limits when it comes to concepts, music styles and number of members, so you have a bit of everything, all with top notch quality. I think on weekly idol (a tv program) they explained better but it hasn't aired yet so I'll link it to you later
