I spent a hard summer in 1990 helping stack the stone blocks along the creek in front of #12. They may have rebuilt it but it looks the same. Convinced me to go on to college.

Long, hilly and beautiful course, with Tulsa weather going to be hot and muggy. Going to be a fun championship!
Actually it’ll be in the 70’s
@@kinglangren practice rounds and the first two rounds will all be in the 90s with muggy conditions. But yes if you just come for championship weekend you will feel nice.
Lovely to see this before the pga. Helps one to imagine and appreciate the shots that the pros will be entertaining us with.

Henryetta golf course is a Perry Maxwell course. So to all you that want to play an awesome designed course for under 30$ a person, come on! Henryetta is 40 miles south of Tulsa on highway 75.

In my opinion speith is the favorite he is in great form coming in and this course sets up for his game very well.
except he isnt the most accurate driver, Cam Smith and Rory have a good chance I think. Who knows though, would love to see Jordan get it done

Those two Par Fives are some of the best designs I've ever seen. I love the fact that they are "three" shot holes for almost all the Pros playing.

My favorites this week are Kuchar, Fitzpatrick, Cameron Smith, and Rahm.
I echo some others. Would be great to have such clips for each of they majors and maybe the players championship too.
Man the amount of bunkers around those greens are brutal. No wonder it's known for being a difficult course. Flag shots seem very unforgiving. At 9:36, does that bunker in the back have a couple grass patches in the middle of it? IDK if I've ever seen that before.

The 18th is similar to the 18th at Augusta in that, unless you have stood there, you genuinely can't appreciate just how uphill that approach is, nor how small the green looks when you're trying to hit it.
Very tough test. The players are lucky it won't be over 100 degrees like it was for the PGA in 2007. Saturday is going to be a LOT cooler than Thursday.

God this place looks pure. I am hoping for an abundance of creek carnage now that Hanse shaved down the sides and rolled the edges of the green. Gonna be electric.

Well it looks like old Southern Hills held its own with winner at -5. The best shot makers win at SHills, not the longest drivers. What makes the course so special. The topography of the land. You can hit 325 straight as an arrow in fairway and more times than not you’re getting an uneven lie. Comments on -20, -12, -8 didn’t age very well I’d say and yes, I’ve played there several times.
This is at least 1000 yards longer than my country club course.
Give the writer a raise.

I could never play this course & neither could other high handicappers unless your score doesn't matter. Nearly every shot is on a slope of some kind which is death for us. We have enough trouble with perfectly flat lies.
Why even play the tournament... according to the big media just give the trophy to Mr Woods
