May be quicker, but when caulking tiles, with the tiles having a straight edge they become like a razor blade, many a time I have used my finger and have cut it quite deep. It’s a a shame this tool wasn’t invented earlier. I have just bought one after watching numerous videos regarding how to seal professionally.

Product being used on the wrong side. DO NOT spray water, you will prevent the silicone from adhering to the sides. Good luck.
