I respect you so much for blurring the kids face out, I feel like social media has made people become way too comfortable with posting videos of peoples kids (obviously fine if you get permission) and its always made me so uncomfortable!!
@@Delidiary Even if permission is given, legally the kid can't give permission, it's the parents who can...which then still feels wrong to me. So yay for blurring.
You guys looking at each other in the kitchen all lovingly and telling each other how attractive you were to each other was so lovely. Maybe I'm just sentimental lately but it was so cute.
@ I just finished the video and your kitchen looks beautiful! The window looks so nice. 💕 I’m glad that you are not insulin resistant either. I will say that I lost 120 pounds after finding out I was insulin resistant after gaining a bunch of weight after having my kids. I changed my eating habits and was finally able to work with my body instead of against it.
oh my gosh it looks amazing!!! personally i dont mind the idea of the lounge room not being larger than the kitchen, having a spatious ktichen is such a dream!! Also, so good to hear theres no real worries with insulin resistance! Hopefully the coming blood tests will be very insightful!
Tip for the window back-splash - You could add an electric shade/awning on the outside, if the lighting gets too annoying. I think having shades on the inside would be difficult to clean. And you could keep the controls for the awning right by the stove. :D I'm so glad you have such good medical care for the PCOS and that they're doing proper checkups and tests! I hope they continue to take good care of you! Even though we have quite different taste in interior design, I think the kitchen looks beautiful and perfect for you guys! It's also wonderful to see you guys so happy about it! 😄 It's so lovely that everything seems to have gone so smoothly and the tradies are such nice and skilled people. Always a pleasure to watch your vlogs anyhow and you're always very relatable and I love both you and James. ❤❤
An outside awning is a really smart idea, it wouldn't effect the look of the kitchen inside at all. They also help with heat a TON because they stop sunlight from getting to the glass and heating up your home, as opposed to curtains or blinds inside that block light but not the heat.
I was hoping to see a video from you guys and I was like “nah they have to wait two weeks for their bench top there won’t be a video” I’m so excited for you!
I also often can't tell the difference between anxiety and excitement. I usually feel the most anxious right before a vacation, even when everything's all planned and taken care of 😂
Honestly, I don't remember where I heard it from, but someone once told me that fear and excitement were the same thing just a change of perspective and it really changed how I thought about things! I generally have really bad anxiety, but now, sometimes I can remind myself that it isn't always fear, but excitement instead, and that helps so much! 💪🏻
As a long time lurkey viewer, I just gotta say how lovely it is to see you and James building your lives together! I was there when you first announced you were dating! All the best in the new kitchen!! Looks amazing!
I'm loving the music. It's like the end of a journey. And the room has so much more light now! Or maybe that's just me. But everything seems brighter and more airy.
It's looking so beautiful and bright and fresh! I'm sure you are super excited to get back home and live with the new kitchen, but I'm also starting to feel a tiny bit sad about the renovations ending. Why can't we all have endless budgets for endless renovations!?
Cortisol is actually naturally higher for everyone in the mornings and goes down throughout the day usually so having it high in the morning shouldn't be a major concern. It just means they should test you either later in the day to see if its still elevated or do the steroid to control for the variability of high cortisol in the morning. I know this because I'm currently testing cortisol in a research lab!
I love those wooden handles and all the oak to add that pretty natural element to the kitchen. They look like they feel really smooth and warm and real
I got way to anxious waiting to see if James was going to turn off the lights in the laundry room lol It looks sooo good! I’m so excited to see the tile go in❤
gorgeous gorgeous, didnt expect anything less from the both of you and your styles! you are both looking so fit as well! maybe you can put a little hidden roman shade that stays kinda flat to the top for the window behind the stove so you can get rid of the sunshine if it's bothering you to cook!
My fav parts are the wall shelf for the books & that window behind the stove!!!! To look out & see nature & have that natural light is amazing. Wonderful idea!!! Hopefully, you'll leave it uncovered because it's just so lovely 😍. The kitchen looks great & that stone is also beautiful 🎉
also its so great when you openly talk about pcos, i have it too and my exams were pretty similar, its great to try and understand how our bodies works! i find it makes my anxiety way lesser, the more i understand things hahah
awwe looks amazing, ive been following both of yous for years and seeing it all come together for both is so amazing, reminds me of how my guy and I are.
So excited for you! Truly it is such a dream to be able to design your own kitchen. It's finally starting to look like a real kitchen again. Definitely a more efficient (and aesthetic) use of the space.
It looks lovely! I really love the style. It looks like a completely different house now. Also I can't tell the difference between my anxiety and excitement, it genuinely feels the same so I can understand how you feel.
Beautiful! 😍 As a kitchen/bath designer, it’s the best feeling when projects get past the rough stages and clients begin to get excited again. Both of your reactions made me so happy to watch!
I also can't tell the difference between anxiety and excitement. I feel like they're the same body sensation with different feelings attached to it. I'm more anxious at night though. Sleep is like my natural anxiety reset button. 😄
Yeah I am a little concerned about that. I have had prednisone before and that was a wild ride of panic attacks 😭 it’s kind of comforting to know someone else is sensitive to it too!
Guuuuuys, I'm so happy for you! Shed several happy tears while looking at your excitement! The kitchen is literally fire! Can't wait for the final reveal, but at the same time don't want this journey to be over))) Sending love and best wishes!
James is looking great!! Looks like he dropped a lot of weight, are you guys on a fitness journey together?? I love this for you two! I’ve been following you both for years. And the house is coming out SO amazing.
Oh this is looking so great. Very happy for the both of y’all. Can’t believe how much it’s changed looks amazing love your shelf design too it looks awesome.
Thanks for sharing your journey with PCOS. I was just diagnosed this week and was so shocked! I’m seeing a naturopathic doctor that’s doing a lot of the same testing you got! The kitchen looks amazing!!
Good luck to you both! 💓 I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2015 and was not prepared by anyone especially since I was so young at the time (20). I am just now learning things that I wish I knew back then- PCOS is caused by insulin resistance and can be cured through diet. Whatever you do, do NOT let a doctor put you on hormonal birth control to “cure” it (or if they do, research the HECK out of it) because that’s what mine did. TLDR is that I just found out this year that using certain hormonal birth controls has been linked to the development of several autoimmune disorders from extended long-term use (10+ years). PLEASE take my advice and go see someone who specializes in PCOS and diabetes. Do whatever you can now to take care of your body- you only get one 😢
I love your new kitchen so much, you must be so proud! Like James said, it's still the same space of kitchen like before, but the space is so much more optimized and so big & open! You two did a great job
Wow the countertops are stunning!! I love that little bit of shine some parts have in the light. I also love concrete countertops, so I’m definitely gonna be using your countertops as future inspo! ETA: I’m so glad that you guys found the matching stone circle for the island!! I was shocked that they wouldn’t have the matching one because the attention to detail so far had been INCREDIBLE
Omg the kitchen looks amazing! Looks like you’ll be home for Christmas. Can’t wait for the grand tour. Miss seeing Bowser and Frankie though they are so cute 🥰
comparing this kitchen to the kinds of things Deli builds in her dream home videos (especially the ones with cc) is like watching the sims come to life!

I just caught up with the series ! ❤ I am so happy you two are creating your dream kitchen. My little heart is so happy to see little details you would use in the Sims like a window behind the stove! I am also so happy your test showed that you're not insulin resistant. I had PCOS and was insulin resistant, but I wasn't as healthy as you were. I used to be 240lbs and my periods were so irregular. I am all better now. Diet plays a big role in reducing/eliminating symptoms. I hope you can figure it out and stop having all of that pain. ❤❤❤
Wow! Looks amazing! Super super exciting! Please do a 6 month later video that would be cool to see how you guys are still liking and utilizing your kitchen!
Cortisol is naturally high in the morning, because it's this particular hormone that wakes you up (and keeps you awake/aware). During the day, the levels of cortisol drop and makes you sleepy. With that said, maybe you and your endocrinologist were discussing particularly high cortisol levels in the morning, and of course, the specialist does know best 🌟 PS. Hi Deli,
