Charlotte and Logan did a fantastic job in This chapter portraying the characters emotions and development. The way you warp their previous songs to match the way they themselves as characters are being warped goes together so well. It really drives home the emotional impact this game wants to show

I love Lucas' theme, it's so calming and welcoming. Their moments together feel special because of it.
I didn’t feel the pull as much in the first game between Amicia and Lucas, but in this one, it seems almost glaringly obvious he loves her not just as a sister or friend, but romantic love. Amicia is too focused on the mission to see it, and I’m not sure even Lucas knows how he really feels. I would LOVE to see them older and in love. Writing a fanfic based off it. Want to hire me as a writer? 😅

Ironically I wrote this comment with my very first fic based ten years later with the Amicia ending and not the Lucas ending, and it got me back into writing! The reunion theme and the walk among ruins carrying Hugo is one of the best emotional and memorable scenes of the game. Brilliant!❤
Again, what great insight. It makes total sense to have Hugo as a theme throughout, since that is what amicia is clinging onto. But also have Lucas as her anchor she so desperately needs.
Is there video of poor and amazing Eric performing those chase scenes? I think you said you'd put out the concert in video form, right? Will we see him there?

I adore the Lucas theme, it gives the puzzles and moments with Lucas such a feel of facing even the worst situations with a true friend by your side. And as you said, I get the impression that there is love there, so it has a little bit of that "Han and Leia" theme effect, especially later in the game. 🥰
I just finished the other episodes, having the explanation of why certain themes come back is so interesting. The music of this game is such a master piece and I was wondering, do you plan to release the partitions for these musics? Thank you for the walkthroughs, can't wait for the final chapter, it's such a breath-taking moment.

I saw the first game and that got me into soundtracks in general and I will always love it. The music in both are wonderful. I love it so much! I was so excited when I saw that these videos existed. I hope when I hopefully write and design my own video game the music can be as good..probably not-I’m not trying to insult anyone-

Thank you so much for sharing of your inspiration and thoughts behind the music. It really is a masterpiece. I have one suggestion, though: If you make similar videos later, could you please not "sing/hum" the tune to us again and again, like you do at 9:12. It's enough when you've done it once, which you did at the beginning of the chapter, and then later just say "Here's Hugo's theme again". As it is, I can't really hear the music because you are humming on top of it🙂
Will you also make a video about the main menu theme (o ma belle lune)? It sounds like a conversation between two people (the sun and moon), maybe Hugo and Amicia?
I’m not sure I want to explain but let’s say that everything is in there :)
Spoilers ahead in this comment:
At the start of this video the order master said they have “special buildings” To contain the carrier and protect the world from the plague…But as we learned later in the game… an enormous, specialized, underground “facility” (more like tomb) couldn’t contain the Justinian plague spawning from Basillius… If that couldn’t contain the rats…Nothing back then could. So either the order is incredibly stupid and can’t learn from their massive mistake entombing Basillius…. Or they were too proud to record their mistake for future order members… or they were so secretive with what Basillius was and their plan to contain him that the only people who knew the truth died when he crossed the final threshold and gave in to the macula.
Either way too us as the player, the lesson seems so clear that removing the protector and/or abandoning the carrier and locking them away will fail to contain the macula and doom everyone. It’s so ridiculous that the order planned on making the same mistake with Hugo
History always relates itself and Amicia understood it…too late.

I love this series Olivier, as a player it's almost impossible to differntiate between these musics, they are certainly there and affecting your mind but you cannot really put your finger on them, This can finally shed light onto the art and creativity that goes beyond the visual layers which will result into a simple word "immersion".
I really hope we get to see Amicia and Lucas in a third game
Tant d’émotions, je n’ai pas les mots pour décrire ce que les deux A Plague Tale m’ont fait ressentir. Une expérience mais aussi une leçon de vie, et d’amour. J’aime tellement ces personnages, leur force, leur courage et l’amour qu’ils ont les uns pour les autres. J’espère vraiment que si il y a un 3ème jeu, Lucas reviendra, grandira et retrouvera Amicia. Je pense qu’elle a besoin de lui
I liked the music during the beginning of the sequence where Amicia and Lucas attempt to reach Joseph's boat. A big reason is that it helps the player understand what kind of gameplay sequence they are in. I think its best played a bit more "actiony" as Joseph is helping out with the crossbow. The music being "narrative" in the beginning instead of just the "system" leads the player into playing in a more actiony manner. The music is driving there. It guides the player into the best, most fun way of going through that gameplay sequence.
I also liked that little bit at the end there when the mother hugs Amicia. The music along with Amicia's expression says everything about how Amicia is feeling about how her mother let Vaudis do whatever he wanted with Hugo. She doesn't trust her mother anymore to do the right thing with Hugo. The music reflects that well.
The Protector and The Truth are my 2 favorite pieces of music in the new game! Beautiful and Haunting!! Love those 2 tracks! Thanks for the music!! I hope you cover these tracks in this series.
If they make a 3rd game I would love a prequel story about Aelia and Basilius! I want that story!!!!

We need a third part with Amicia, Lucas (and Sophia or Melie perhaps) where they will leave clues for the next Protector & Carrier just like Aelia did for them

Do you think every game has this much thought into the music? Or is this specifically for narrative driven games. I never once thought about the music in say Doom 3, or Wolfenstein, but I always noticed something different in Plague Tales. Thanks for doing these!
Any game I did has the same “treatment”. It’s that they are not as successful as APTR so people tend to miss them :)

J'adore le thème qui clôture ce chapitre "Reunion". Il est magnifique, calme, mélancolique presque apaisant après la folie meurtrière des rats... par contre je ne vois pas à quel thème dans Innocence il fait référence? ("Little brother")
Ça ressemble effectivement pas mal à Little Borther et Big sister. La hauteur de l compostion a l'air d'avoir été augmentée
