So just a word of warning: dogs in the next county will pause and sniff every time you pump the sprayer on this thing.
Brilliant review as always. The OG Red Tobacco got me back into scents after a long hiatus. Amazing to see how things have changed in 12 years. I still love the OG above its flanker, as my skin unfortunately absorbs any and all scents within 2 hours, 3 if I moisturize and I'm not a massive leather note fan. For most people though, I can see how they'd prefer Intense.
I will have to get a decant of this. I love that it is more smooth and less obnoxious according to your review. Just weird they have been making the recent "intense" flankers that are more laid back. Nice review once again homie!
People always want something bigger or more powerful. Definitely just a marketing strategy/ term. Better to call it intense which gives it a sense of superiority rather than just red tobacco 2.0 or something like that
@tacticalcharlie4696 I'm saying regular red has been watered down recently, so I was thinking maybe it really is intense compared to new batches. However, reviews say it isn't, so you're correct.
I was keen on the Intense flanker but after trying Armani Stronger With You Tobacco I have decided to pick it up instead. I know I'm comparing designer to niche but I feel it will be more useful in my daily life.

Thank you Ross. I have said the same thing. The OG is actually the intense version. I like them both but I feel Mancera was disingenuous with the naming of RTI. I still prefer the OG. I love walking out in the cold and smelling it in the air.

Although Maison Alhambra's "Exclusif Tabac" is a Caroline Herrera Mystery Tobacco dupe, it's like a less assaultive Red Tobacco, sits between between Red Tobacco and its intense flanker (without the leather note in Intense Red Tobacco). It's great - a lot cheaper and can be found for a bargain. I rate it highly (it was recently added to Fragrantica too).
I prefer the intense version. Much smoother opening by a mile for me.

The Intense version smells like an upgrade in every way, unless you like the raw explosion of the original.
