they are really comfy and I love mine, but the shoelaces are terrible. It should've be a reason to not get it since you can just double knot. These are great everyday shoes and beaters. Don't do anything athletic in them though.

Sorry for the late reply: Did you end up copping? I think you'd be ok with the half size up, since these have a sock-lining feel to them, whereas the AF1 are boxy. So having a bit more room feels better.
Yo! Do you mean in height? The Adidas with the Boost Soles or some of the new New Balance shoes that are taking the HOKA aesthetic have very thick soles and definitely add height. Even HOKA Clifton’s have very tall soles.

They do get a little warm but they're so comfortable that you won't mind
