I've never had an appeal to street food outside of the US due to hygiene standards, but Japan by far was the best for me overall on vendor's creativity and the variety of delicious seafood.
I miss those days when anyone could have a walk without a facemask, and eat weherever you want freely, damn, this pandemic has change everything we loved the most, take care everybody, ¡greetings from México!
It would be so damn awesome if you would include the location of the place you went to in your description. I would like to visit these places soon myself. It is hard to find the exact location without any clue. Thumbs up if you agree!
This is a very late reply, but after doing some sleuthing based on the video being in Hokkaido, it's at Odori Park in Sapporo City. The Brown building in the background at 0:00 would indicate this would be near the Odori Park Fountain. The red mascot at 0:03 is the mascot of Sapporo TV Tower, Tawakkie. I've been in Sapporo during the Winter Festival and the street food is plentiful, delicious and the stalls bring a welcome splash of colour in the blankets of white snow. This particular occasion in the video might be the Sapporo Autumn Festival, run in the month of September. Not everything seen in the video is filmed at Odori Park though, the grilled oysters look to be purchased and consumed what might possibly be at Nijo Market. You can find plenty of seafood eateries serving fresh seafood in Sapporo though. Another place in Hokkaido they may have been to for seafood is Hakodate. I daresay the seafood markets in Hakodate are better to go to for seafood than Tsukiji (and Toyosu by today)
A gobbful of garlic butter, parsley, and parmesan cheese spooned over these while it grills, then sopped up with French bread @4:46.... MMMM MAGNIFICO!!!
I think thats aden films. They obviously are in japan together, and when travelthirsty or aden cant hold the camera to film, the other holds it and films them.
Always love watching Japanese and Chinese street food, any food cooking. Lots of love and hygiene go into the prepping and cooking and all dishes look so damn tasty and beautiful❤️
Some of these are from the special events held outdoors for introducing the products, or shops open to streets at the front. I am not sure that they can be called typical "street food."
@Travel Thirsty Can you tell me the exact location you video these street food?? As i would like to visit there but I don't know where is the location. Thx before.
This is in Odori Park, Sapporo City. The street food stands aren't always there, but during special occasions. They are there during the Winter Festival and this one in the video is most likely the Autumn Festival. If you go outside of the festival seasons, you can always visit the Nijo Markets nearby for the fresh seafood.

You don't want to eat Pacific Gigas oysters raw. They are more likely to contain pathogens and taste nothing like the smaller ones intended to be eaten raw.

If you like that kind of food, you could try the tsukiji market in Tokyo. It's an early morning thing though.....and all the good stuff is gone by 9.
