And such experiences can hardly be put into words. Look at Prophet Mohamad’s experience of Israa and Meraj (الإسراء والمعراج) in the Quraan and how it was translated in a very symbolic language. The deeper realities of this experience as well as of other spiritual experiences are to be explored by those who choose the path of Mystics and Gnostics. Many Mystics remained silent throughout their entire lives, simply because what they witnessed is far greater and bigger than any words. Linguistics failed Mystics, because we are so limited before the limitless and the infinite, before Allah (or the Pure Reality whatever you choose to call it).

@@LetsTalkReligion Thanks for your channel, it's very enlightening to see the theological complexities of a faith (usually) presented as strictly orthodox. How influential do you think "ethnic" spaniards were during muslim rule in Iberia? I have been introduced to a somewhat "nationalistic" perspective, of a generic arab conquest. But there are many idiosyncracies that seem to hint at a more complex picture of an almost "Spanish Islam".
I read the kybalion which is about the principles of hermes before i knew any of this and i though it correlated with islam completely so it makes sense that many muslims were hermetic.
I have watched this video couple of times and ibn Arabi few times as well but what is difference between the two in laymen term?. Isn't it similar to panthesim
It has aspects that can remind us of pantheism, but it is also more complicated than that. In very simple terms - they both agree that God is the only Reality, the only "thing" that really exists. They disagree in the sense that Ibn Arabi still thinks the multiplicity of the world is RELATIVELY real and separated from God. Ibn Sab'in, however, sees the world and multiplicity as pure illusion and that God's Essence is immediately "knowable" everywhere. It's hard to explain such complex metaphysics in easily understandable terms, but that's my best attempt :)
Thanks for the video. But I didn't quite understand, what is Ibn Sabin's position of the Divine Names in being. Is there any reference you can point to expressing this. Would be great. Thanks.
Basically, he believed that ALL multiplicity must essentially be "passed over" or transcended to know God or Reality. This includes transcending and moving beyond the multiplicity of the Divine Names and only resting in the Oneness of the name "al-Haqq" (The Real). If you check the Sources in the description to the video, I would recommend the article from the "Sufi Journal", it talks about some of these ideas in particular and compares it to the school of Ibn Arabi.
Hey let's talk religion, have u ever heard of the Berber berghouata kingdom and salih ibn tarif? He proclaimed himself a prophet and I was wondering, seeing as it's up your alley of interest, that you could make a video about this? The Berber people also did something interesting as well, they began to recite the shahadda in their Berber language as well as a whole slew of un orthodox "muslim" things and I was wondering if you've heard of this before?
Let's Talk Religion yeah it's heavily intertwined into Berber nationalism in the Maghreb, which is still a problem today because of discrimination. Their women don't wear the hijab because traditional berberism give a lot of rights to women, like being the one who decides to divorce and even being warriors! But yeah, this guy, ibn tarif is epitome of how nationalistic the Berber folk are and how that nationalism still affects their Islam today.
Have you done a video on the thinker René Guénon of the Traditionalist School? He studied Hinduism and converted to Islam, ultimately becoming an Egyptian citizen and a Sufi. Perhaps he doesn't fit your "Making the Muslim World" series, but his life and thoughts might make an interesting video topic for a later time. On a side note, hearing Arabic with a Swedish accent is surprisingly enjoyable lol
His philosophy is also known as Wahdatush Shahood (Unity/Oneness of Witnessing) as a contemporary to Ibn Arabi's Wahdatul Wajood (Unity/Oneness of Being).
Do you think the Andalucian Sufis like ibn Arabi, and Ibn Sabain, disprove the narrative or assumption that Sufism is foreign to Islam or just came from Persia? Or the tired dichotomy that Persians are mystical and Arabs are exoteric?
Could you do a video on Al Biruni, on all his works including his philosophy ,mathematics, and his work on India? I’ve heard that he is sometimes called the father of comparative religion as ibn khaldun is the father of sociology. Since I think that’s your field, I think it would be pretty fitting to do Al Biruni
I appreciate the video and thank you for uploading. My question is the following: Has there ever been a rusul who has stated that God/Allah is Different in Life so not to be alone? In other words; has there ever been a rusul who has stated that God/Allah is Different in Life for Love?
The Sicilian Questions is not easy to find online! What the heck! If anyone has access to it I would appreciate it greatly if they were to grant me the same
You can also say what you said about Ibn Taimiyyah to Iraneaus and other church fathers. Most of the people they accuse are very interesting to study and learn about.
I've been trying to find the answer to this question all day, but I've reached the conclusion that I might have been mistaken in the video. I was absolutely sure there was an English translation when I wrote the script, but I think what I meant to say was that it is the only text that has been translated into European languages. It seems to be available in Spanish and Italian, but not English. Sorry for the confusion.
As long as redical view do not contradict Islamic theology I ready to debate on this. Islamic theology include fundamental believe of Islam which mansion in Quran and Hadiths. Like oneness of God. Mohammed as last prophet of God. Start and end of world and time. Life after death. Day of judgment.
Hassan Sabah was serving for his master who had divine authority manifested by Allah through the last Prophet PBUH. He was following the right path while the Sunni and Christian historians have painted a very novel picture of him which was not true. He was not radical ...
Let’s appreciate Ibn sabin's teachings and wonder how it can help us in our lives. ibn Sabiin's main teaching is that " there is nothing but god " that means you who are reading this comment your body is an illusion and your truth is God you are God. And here maybe you will understand why Ibn Taimia attacked Ibn sabiin very heavily. It takes work and open-mindedness and also surrendering until you break through the illusion and realize your true being and singularity, and then you will realize that you and me and the phone you are holding and Philip and your mother and the moon everything, are one thing. that is YOU, GOD.
Any radical-sufi or not-who dares to say or do anything in the DEEN of Allah (to whom belongs Might and Majesty) that’s not of the DEEN, we put it under the honorable sandal of Prophet Mohammad-Abal-Qaa.sim (may the Blessing and the Salutation of Peace continue to shadow over him, AND over his honorable Household)!
I think Ibn Arabi and Sab’in both are right and their views stand still. It is like 1 is a number and 2 is also a number. My opinion about negating everything will end up not praising god’s attribute/reflection? Absolute unity might contribute people to not integrate well in society? As they themselves deny everything. Instead we should identify god by seeing his attribute and reflection.
I don't see Absolute Unity as pantheistic. If, according to Ibn Sab'in, we're all part of God, then that suggests that there is no one else to worship but God. I'm a curious Muslim with a huge amount of agnosticism in me, though these videos from you Filip are intriguing to watch.
You mentioned possibility that some Sufis used to experiment with drugs like Cannabis or so! Can you make an episode about Drugs in general around this time! Also given there art an experiences, there is a lot of similarities between sufi experiences and psychedelic experiences! But there is no mention of psychedelics is arab history !! Even the word psychedelic doesn't have a proper parallel in Arabic!
Quran says: “Allah:there is no deity worthy of worship except he”:The Neccessary life/consciousness,sustainer of life/consciousness.” Wire like neuronal structures that conduct electricity via ions/neurotransmitters in the CNS/PNS possess no attribute of thinking/life and yet that has “randomly” led to life. Consciousness/thinking is an innate idea(“Fitra”)that is distinct from carbon skeleton and yet the materialist scientist believes that chemistry turned into biology via “god of randomness”/”Emergent property”/”law of nature”. Consciousness can only stem from Necessary Consciousness (Allah-one/indivisible/All-loving/self-sufficient infinite perfection).

I read the kybalion which is about the principles of hermes before i knew any of this and i though it correlated with islam completely so it makes sense that many muslims were hermetic.
Thank you for this superb video
@@LetsTalkReligion thank you
Incredible how similar this sounds to advaita vedanta
Beautiful, thank you !
Great video as per usual! Would you care to share the background music for this video?
@@LetsTalkReligion thanks so much
Hey let's talk religion, have u ever heard of the Berber berghouata kingdom and salih ibn tarif? He proclaimed himself a prophet and I was wondering, seeing as it's up your alley of interest, that you could make a video about this? The Berber people also did something interesting as well, they began to recite the shahadda in their Berber language as well as a whole slew of un orthodox "muslim" things and I was wondering if you've heard of this before?
No I actually know very little about this. Thanks for the suggestion! Sounds like a very interesting subject for a future video
Im Bahai but love Sufism
Have you done a video on the thinker René Guénon of the Traditionalist School? He studied Hinduism and converted to Islam, ultimately becoming an Egyptian citizen and a Sufi. Perhaps he doesn't fit your "Making the Muslim World" series, but his life and thoughts might make an interesting video topic for a later time.
On a side note, hearing Arabic with a Swedish accent is surprisingly enjoyable lol
I have not done a video on him yet, no. I'm sure he would fit, at least I might do a video on the "Traditionalist school" in general.
@@LetsTalkReligion Very cool, awesome to hear. I'm a big fan of Evola and Guénon myself. Looking forward to your commentary!
تلخيص ممتاز واطلاع جيد وفقك الله
Can you please make a video on Ibn Taymiyah and his core beliefs quoting his books.
I'll probably get there eventually!
Omg Never Never Never Do That They are Al Whabiya ابو عباية اسود سودة 😱😱😱
لالا لالا لا لا تفعل الوهابية وحوش ظلام في ظلام هو راس😝😱 البلية اليوم في العالم😱😱😱
another good video on Sufism. Muslim Sufism is based on spiritual refinement through heart or qulb meditation that is different from other religions.
Its all stolen from jew n christian Sufism . Islam is a lie only exist on fake books written by masonic elites .
@@theconnecteduniverse1video629 ACTUALY SUFISM HAS HAD A HUGE EFFECT ON Judaism, I DARE YOU TO LOOK IT UP .

HahahahahahahaahahahahH
His philosophy is also known as Wahdatush Shahood (Unity/Oneness of Witnessing) as a contemporary to Ibn Arabi's Wahdatul Wajood (Unity/Oneness of Being).
What is the English translation of his Scicilian Question called and where can it be found?
Do you think the Andalucian Sufis like ibn Arabi, and Ibn Sabain, disprove the narrative or assumption that Sufism is foreign to Islam or just came from Persia? Or the tired dichotomy that Persians are mystical and Arabs are exoteric?
I think they could certainly be used for that argument.
Sure! :)
@@LetsTalkReligion will like a work on Al Biruni, since I am from India.
He is considered as the first Indologist.
Thank you 🙏🏼
This channel is blowing up like crazy, at least I can say that I've been here since 9K
U r from the company who promoting his channel.. we not stupid anymore to fool us by all that comments

I appreciate the video and thank you for uploading.
My question is the following:
Has there ever been a rusul who has stated that God/Allah is Different in Life so not to be alone?
In other words; has there ever been a rusul who has stated that God/Allah is Different in Life for Love?
How does Ibn Sab'in explain the origin of the illusion of multiplicity/separateness if God alone exists?
It takes place in God’s knowledge.
Thank you so much for these videos. I am wondering his ideas are similar to advaitha vedantha
Where can i find translation of Ibn Sab'in works?
The Sicilian Questions is not easy to find online! What the heck! If anyone has access to it I would appreciate it greatly if they were to grant me the same
@Inspiring Philosophy interested in your take on this video
i requested u sir next lecture will be taking about bu Alisina
You earned a like and a subscribe :)
Ibn e Temya single handedly polarized Islamic thought.
Great fan of ibn Arabi and Rumi.
You can also say what you said about Ibn Taimiyyah to Iraneaus and other church fathers. Most of the people they accuse are very interesting to study and learn about.
Where is the seyyed hossain nasr citation from, at 6:54.
That's it, I've found my religion
Magnificent!
I love Ibn Sab'in!
bro what sound did you use ?
19:31 Why do you say calling him a pantheist is painting him in a bad light?
(listening to you) and I can't hate anything/anybody... 😊😊😊
Amazing i love it
You should also investigate Mehdaviath. It’s in India and surrounding areas. Plz ping me for more details
Where is the English translation of the Sicilian Questions?
This has so many parallels to Advaita! From the unity, to the incompetence of language!
Hassan Sabah was serving for his master who had divine authority manifested by Allah through the last Prophet PBUH. He was following the right path while the Sunni and Christian historians have painted a very novel picture of him which was not true. He was not radical ...
Shaikh Abdul Qadir Gilani is the Balance
Let’s appreciate Ibn sabin's teachings and wonder how it can help us in our lives.
ibn Sabiin's main teaching is that " there is nothing but god "
that means you who are reading this comment your body is an illusion and your truth is God you are God.
God has the answer , he said he is unique and nothing like him ..both ibn Arabi and sabiin trying to describe something that impossible
Another Good Build.
Jazakallahu..
Good video.
I don't see Absolute Unity as pantheistic. If, according to Ibn Sab'in, we're all part of God, then that suggests that there is no one else to worship but God. I'm a curious Muslim with a huge amount of agnosticism in me, though these videos from you Filip are intriguing to watch.
Great sir
Not all that is known should be uttered , except when those worthy are in attendance and the time is right ?
Ibn Sab'een an amazing Andalusian Sufi . With many enemies who tried to taint his memory by the ridiculous accusation of suicide .
