    Love the review. I bought one of these about 6 months ago and I can tell you that it is the first guitar i pick up in my studio. I own a martin d-28, Taylor 816CE and a couple of hand built guitars by Yairi and Hoffman. This guitar stands up to all of them and actually exceeds with the specs. I mean...adirondack spruce? You don't see that in the $3000 price point. I've recently put on a set of Waverly tuning pegs, upgraded the pins, polished the frets and had a pro set-up. All worth the money. Love this guitar, I truly see it as a lifetime player.

    The best solution ...even better than "the big 3" solution....
    The next better purchase is Eastman E20D (1600 euros)....
    For something real special it's over 5.000...(Boucher, Gallagher, Collings, PrestonThompson)...
    I hope to have it soon 🙂

    Own this guitar and you WILL NOT find more guitar for the money! V-neck took a few days to get used to since I exclusively play Martin's but once I settled in fell in love, especially when I'm wrapping my thumb. Picked it up for 600 w LR Baggs pickup installed, what a steal.

      Thanks Jeff! No disappointments at all, still in love with the guitar. I use Elixirs phosphor bronze 012 gauge. Sometimes I also use D'Addario coated ones, those are great as well. I go for the one that's cheaper on the day...😅

      @@CesarBenzoniMy RD-328 showed up last night. I absolutely love that guitar! It sounds awesome! It rings like a bell. And I hit some harmonics messing around and I gotta say that I was super impressed because I can hit a harmonic practically anywhere on the strings. Not sure why. Scale length maybe? I almost don't want to set the action on it. I might lose those sweet harmonics.

    Would you say it's a pretty loud guitar? I'm looking for a canon that cuts through in that price range. Other option would be a Blueridge. Have you tried a BR? If so which would be louder? thnx

    • @CesarBenzoni
      @CesarBenzoni  10 месяцев назад +1

      Hey man! It depends on the point of reference, it is the loudest I've ever owned. I can play in a bluegrass band with no hassle. I tried the Blueridge a long time ago and I remember that the tone is fantastic, but I don't remember how loud it was. With that said, my friend has a Collins that is a punch in the face, that thing is loud! So that's why I mentioned the point of reference. I don't know if it was helpful at all 😂

      I played today Yamaha FG3 (same wood and sound as the FG5) Sounded very good but it lacks the low end and mids that come out of a Rosewood guitar. I also played Martin D28 and a Sigma SDR-28 (Martin d28 copy) both Rosewood and i like them more. You can not go wrong with the Yamaha but if you have tried a Martin d28 and like to tone of it then the best option is to buy Recording King RD328 or RD-342. I am going to get the RD-328.
