      Oooh, I like how you used crushed ice and house of mirrors. It makes us think of cuts in different ways. Thanks! ❤

    THANK you so much for talking about the importance of color in emerald cuts! so many people on youtube talk about going dark with emerald cuts being okay.... it is not.... I can see so much color difference even between F and G on emerald cuts!!! The interesting thing about face up size for me is that, I've always come across radiants having bigger face up surface than emerald cuts of the same carat weight

    There's that black "bowtie" section across the middle of the radiant cut, which is also found in oval cut, unless cut really well.

    I’m trying to decide between the two cuts for a three stone. 3 carat middle .7 carat sides. I worry that a radiant 3 stone of that size will clump together, while emerald will be nice and distinguishable as a 3 stone. Do you ever have clients come back saying they wish they got a radiant over emerald based on the aftercare? I wonder if people get frustrated with the cloudiness an emerald can often get from everyday dirt and smudges with such a large face and clearness -thoughts?

    Which is more important when choose polish and Symmetry to bring out more sparkly? Very good or excellent?

    I'm not a fan of the Emerald cut (step cuts), but the Radiant is my favorite diamond cut. I love the amazing scintillation of the Radiant Cut -so much sparkle with 70 facets! It's a combination of classic and modern, and it's gorgeous! If the radiant is an excellent cut with very good/excellent polish and symmetry, the bow tie is not an issue -very minor or not even visible.

      what is the best ratio for the most proportional radiant? 1.25?

    • @gemradiant6350
      @gemradiant6350 11 месяцев назад +1

      @@rayadisurya7343 I like the ratio of between 1:15 and 1:25. Yes! My radiant cut diamond has a LxW ratio of 1:24. That's the ideal. However, some people like a square radiant of 1:1 or an elongated radiant.

    Is radiant same cut as “cushion cut”?

    • @engage_studio
      @engage_studio  2 года назад +2

      Great question. No radiant is not the same cut as a cushion cut. They both can be rectangular in shape but radiant has straight edges with cut corners and cushion can be square or rectangular with rounded edges. Hope that helps.

    I prefer the emerald cut you can see the flaws the stone has to be flawless to be an emerald cut, radiant cuts hide the flaws better, radiants are cheaper because they hide the flaws...

    Correction: you pay LESS for rounds BECAUSE they’re popular 🙄

    • @DRJVNAVY
      @DRJVNAVY Год назад +8

      You absolutely pay MORE for a round because it is popular. The law of supply and demand... higher the demand the higher the price. Economics 101

    • @gemradiant6350
      @gemradiant6350 11 месяцев назад +3

      Rounds are popular and the diamond cutters lose more rough stone, so rounds are more expensive.

    • @jenvogue5005
      @jenvogue5005 26 дней назад

      I have found rounds that were cheaper, so it depends I guess more on who you buy from
