      Let me see if I can find any old questions on this topic... That would help me understand what concept they are trying to clarify... If you have any old question(s) that would be helpful.

    Hi Randy
    With regards to displacement vs acting out:
    Is displacement not taking anger from person to another person vs Acting out : anger from person to objects?
    One of the questions had displacement as the answer but I was thinking ACTING OUT was the answer ( which wasn’t in the choices)

    • @RandyNeilMD
      @RandyNeilMD  4 года назад

      Hard to say without seeing that question... but I think DISPLACEMENT is ANGER whereas ACTING OUT is just IMMATURITY.

    Hey Dr. Neil,
    Thank you so much for all of your videos they are game changer. I have my step in a month and was wondering if you could provide me access to your PDF scan of behavioral science that is listed on your website? Everytime I click it is linked to the biochemistry pdf rather than the behavioral science. Regardless, Thank you so much for explaining things so clearly!

    Thank you !!! Can you please explain the difference between sublimation vs reaction formation.

    • @samuelm5140
      @samuelm5140 4 года назад +2

      Here's my take:
      Reaction formation - actions that convey the the OPPOSITE of how you truly feel (masking your true feelings)
      Sublimation - rechanneling your feelings into actions that BENEFIT from them and is socially acceptable
