  • We journey North of the border to sample some Canadian railroading.
We're at the Junction of three CN subdivisions.
The first train, CN 432 is on the Grimsby Sub which comes North
from Niagara Falls through the city of Hamilton, ON.
The track to the left is the Dundas Sub which runs West to
London, ON and is the principal CN route to Chicago.
The Grimsby and Dundas Subs join together at the junction and
the line continues Eastward towards Toronto as the Oakville Sub.
There's all kinds of stuff here, RDCs, MLW FPA4s, Bombardier
MPA-27a (LRC-2s) and even cabooses, although they were called
"vans" up there. Even a pair of Grand Trunk units on a freight.
Sorry about the goofy graphics and date stamps on some of the shots.
It seemed like a good idea at the time. 24 years later, not so much.

Fantastic footage!! I love the old trains, in fact I am starting an N Scale CP Rail layout in my basement that will feature Steam trains and 50's to 18's diesels, I am going to add a Bayview Junction (even thought it is a CN line) for the hell of it since I enjoy viewing from there

Incredible, most of the trains seen in this video are not even running any more, Bayview is totally differenent now. Now it has 3 tracks and british style signals.
