You really should have hung drywall first and then topped it with bead board. I get that you don’t like the dust and mess but the mess comes with finishing it and you would not have had finish it since you were topping it with the bead board. Hanging drywall is pretty easy. The drywall would have added a little more strength behind the bead board and help with the hollow sound. Hopefully you plan to add a little insulation on the other side.
Plus hanging anything later will be harder without a base (drywall). Another option would be to add plywood instead of drywall, just more expensive and heavy.
We bought a 12x38 shed and converting to a she she( tiny house) 2 things I want.. Savings and simplicity. It’s a wood shed not just metal. We took the upgrade. This was our plan and RUclips it and your video came up. This is what we’re going to do. Great video b
Looks great - and I'm thankful that you left your mistake in - I never would have thought about making sure that the edges lined up in that way. I would love to use beadboard panels in our bedroom for an accent wall but the wall is so crazy uneven - dips and hallows ... the joys of an old home I guess. I'm thinking the board and batten treatment that you did in your old home would camouflage that unevenness better? Not sure. LOVE the color you chose - so perfect for your new office.
Thank you!! Those small details really make a difference!! I haven't tried beadboard panels on uneven walls before, so I'm not sure how it would turn out. But with board and batten we were able to use wood shims on our wall behind the battens where the wall was uneven and then caulk, so it all looked even and nice! So I think you could definitely make the board and batten work well for your wall!!
@@AngelaMarieMade thank you! Yes, I had noticed your use of shims in your detailed tutorial! They would definitely be needed in our situation I’m sure! And I think too, if we used some thinner material that would have some flexibility in it, that would help as well! That, and a lot of liquid nails and wood filler!
@@AngelaMarieMade So, what are the ‘shims’ that you mentioned? Is it a type of wood paneling? Anyway, thanks for your time! I’m about to watch your recent video, this is my first time in your channel. L8r ✌🏼
Thank you for the video. the wall looks really good. i am planning to use the beadboard in my attic instead of Drywall. But I will add insulation. do you think this a good idea ? Please suggest. Thank you again.
Great question, so the beadboard should line up vertically as well as horizontally it would just take some more prep using spackle/wood putty/caulk to create a more seamless gap. It may not be as noticeable from the top since the ceilings are higher. Also if it is an option you could use some 6" base & crown molding so yo would only need the 8' panel that may work.

Just subscribed! We’re doing this in our basement since I hate drywall too!
Thank you! That's great to hear, it's so much easier than dealing with drywall, and prettier too!
Great job I didn't see Chance helping much he must have been supervising😊
Haha yes he is always near by!
Beautiful. Great color choice
Super idea! I love the color, too.

Thanks! Yeah, I think for like a storage space in your attic to put beadboard instead of drywall would be fine.
@@AngelaMarieMade thank you.

Yes, he was 😂😂Thank you so much!!
Love the color. Why didn't you use Decora outlets? Those are rather old-fashioned.
Great idea!!
Love it 😍
Thank you so much!!
My wall is 9ft but this bead board panel is only 96 inch. I am not sure how to hide the seem if i add another panel sheet. Any ideas? Please help

@@AngelaMarieMade thank you for the suggestion. i have been also thinking about adding base and crown.
What type of caulk did you use for the seams? Thanks!
I just used paintable caulk!
Did you prime it first?
No, the panels come with a coat of primer on them!
I tried to watch this video yet the person voice was super annoying.
No dry wallllllll
