I remember some decent and advanced combos were possible... And I really liked the backgrounds. Some parallax scrolling would've been a nice addition, but gameplay is the most important thing in fighting games - and they definitely nailed it.
Low jumps (short hops) were an exclusive Neo Geo thing (I think it appeared for the first time in Fatal Fury 3 and The King of Fighters'96), at least back then in the 90s. The jumps in this game look unusual high bc the characters are quite small.

It's a good game, but with some of the most compressed music, samples and SFX I ever heard on SNES. I guess it's on a small 8 or 12meg cartridge. Altrough it's "just" a fighting game, a translated version or patch would be nice.
