I am a licensed cosmetologist and you are absolutely correct about all of these products! I use them all on my hair as well as my natural clients! Thanks for sharing!! Love this video.!!!
I have now watched all of your hair care videos and have put together my hair growth kit. Did my first big chop last December for my 50th birthday. I had loc's for 18 years and promised myself when I turned 50 I would cut them and start my second act ( second 50 years of life) and I did a texturizer for two months and got use to my TWA. Now because of you and a few other young ladies on you tube I am armed and ready and am doing the all natural hair and body care. Thanks again ;-)
Thank you so much. I love to see vids of women helping other women hair issues with out self promotion or pushing products. Ur offering insight and do it yourself advice and this is why I felt the need to say thank you. Beautiful hair
her hair will never stop growing. especially when they are young. focus on nourishing her hair from the inside. which mean making sure to give her food such as egg, avocado, fruits and vegetables that are loaded with vitamin and minerals that help you hair your hair grow. or a kid multivitamin. the combination of hair products and nourishing the inside of oir body help the hair to grow healthy and fast.
It's not just nourishing her hair but it's also of what she eats. Remember hair is made out of protein. So its very important for her to eat healthy like fruits and vegetables. Have protein in her diet. Take multivitamin pills. Drink plenty of water. Or she can take hair growing vitamin that they sell at your local store.
I've been natural for a little over 10 months but I have a lot of breakage. I couldn't find anyone on here that keep me interested until I came across your channel. Thanks so much for all this information and I will be uploading videos to show my progress. Great inspiration!!!
I never knew the honey was the culprit in lightening my hair! But I did find an awesome way to combat it! I started using Amla powder I read about it in a henna blog for combating the red color from henna. I have been using it for a year now and I LOVE the way it makes my hair feel. It keeps my curls poppin! keeps my hair dark shiny and healthy! I LOVE IT!!
I had been natural for 2 and a half years and let me say, it has been rough, Ioved being natural, it just wasn't working for me. Dry Dry Dry,very thick and hard to manage. I recently got a texturizer and I hate it. I miss my fro even tho I had minimal growth. I am gonna start over. Your videos ROCK!!!! I hope these product work for my hair. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!
Omg I loved listening/watching you talk sweetheart, you are BEAUTIFUL inside and out, I just wanna kiss them lips lol, I'm not a creep or nothing, I'm a normal guy I just think you are beautiful, that's all.
Let me tell you girl I started going natural one month ago all because of you This is the first video I seen u do and been following your tips ever since and loving it so so so much. I am just now getting into this whole youtube thing so i'll be sure to keep you updated on how my progress is going. So thank you.... Dated; March 8, 2013
Namakando Mwangala Mwangala i done a big chop went all bold, no hair for about a month, so i rub hair food cream on my bold head and cover with a night cap been doing that and saw results, you can also try regular massaging the head when you're relaxing to get blood flow to the head, hair folicals feed on blood and left over vitamins, also i use a portable fan (cold air cooler) to blow through my head, if these dont work try a GP, no hair could be alapecia or some hair condition.
You have a lovely personality and I have all of these products in my home and I will be using them all as soon as I take out my braids! Thanks so much!
I have been transitioning for a year now (navy life will destroy your hair fyi)...stumbled across one of your videos two months ago and have been a changed women ever since. I went out and purchased all items referenced by you. AND i must say my hair is reborn again!! Thank you for sharing your knowledge/please continue to do so. R/ Tiff
Hi Anneka I love love love all your videos... I see that you said that you are from Jamaica that's nice. You are an island girl like me. Am from the Commonwealth of Dominica. 🇩🇲 , I have been growing my natural hair for 5yrs now and I love it .thank you so much for all your lovely videos.....
You have great hair and skin! Your hair texture looks close to mine too and you really believe in what your saying...I'm trying to go natural while with sew ins and I may be using this as a guide...keep being beautiful and natural!
Great information. I wish I knew all of this 14 months ago. I live in Houston, tex where the humidity is horrible. I had all of the oils and Shea butter but was not consistent with it. Jus got all of my split ends clipped for the first time in the natural state. I just bought biotin. I was always taking alive. I became a product junkie and have lots of product. Thanks for the information. I will let you know the outcome on my 4b4c hair. You are a jewel. Be blessed
Great tips... I'm a product junkie! And i've tried almost everything to get my recieding hair. But i guess it will never grow back. Very good advice. And love the accent...
Very helpful. I will most definitely start using these products. And watch your video's on how to use and mix the products together!! You're AWESOME girlie!!!
Love your video. I am new to the natural family as far as wearing it natural. I've always flat iron/silken my hair out for over 10 years. I did the BC back in May 2013. I am in between stage of wanting to texturize or silken it out agin. After looking at your video I will try your method before converting back.
thank you so much for sharin, I was wonderin where exactly to start, I about 18 months natural and I recently brought a real nice oil combination product and leave in conditioner and my hair exacted in a positive way so I already am familiar w/most of the products you have recommended so I know I will start to supply all these becasue my hair was thinnin so very bad, my hair grows really fast but its so thin, again a lovely thank you, and of course I want to keep up posted as I progress.
What a great women talking with love educated on natural for real and can save money with a link card that"s a blessing as mother. Only save spend a few to grow hair. Thank so very much and good bless!
Watching this again! And the 2nd time around is always the best! One thing I very much noticed in this video is that you really stressed keeping you hair moisturized! Honestly I decided to start my transition process about 3 months ago, then I BC about 1 month ago, I used everything that you used on this video plus some AND my hair is sooooooo soft (softer then ever before)! I am impressed by my growth and it is only a matter of time before it is to my shoulders! Thanks for you advice!
I really enjoyed this video as well as the shea butter video. I have been trying to grow my hair for over a year and I really didn't know what to do because my hair is really coarse and extremely dry but, now that I have seen this video, I think I can do something about it. l am just really getting tired of the dryness. This hair really doesn't want to grow. CRAZY I know but we will see. Thanks a lot.
You are a very kind lady I will follow your advices and I hope to get a good results. I have the same clay sitting on my bathroom for a long time, now I have a better use for it. Thank so much
Wow Thank you so much for the advice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For the apple cider how do you put it in your hair???? Like do you pour and the move it around???
i have being using the shea butter for my skin for such a long time. and my skin is so smooth and soft. never connected it to hair but ill definitely try that now. by the way you are a beautiful lady coming from a sista. more power to the natural hair trend. love it!!!
How often do u wash your hair? Daily? Weekly? Do you use every single one if those products EVERY time u wash your hair? It do you alternate between the bentonite clay and then the yogurt, etc? If you wash your hair daily what do you do first, second, third, etc??? What is your last step? And do you do all if those steps every day or once a week? Thanks for your help. I started this week on my natural hair journey. Growing out of my relaxer and trying to grow in my bald edges and crown!!!
i am really moved by your video and will definitely try out the products you mentioned. I don't really have a problem with my hair thickness, just that its taking a little longer than i expected for it to grow. Its been 2 years and a few months since i cut my hair flat and removed the relaxer and its reaching on my back now , Yayyy!!!!! All i used was baby petroleum jelly(which you can get at walmart for $2.97,its the one with the pink label) as my oil for my hair on a regular basis but when i do wash my hair and dry it off with my towel, i use a mixture i made using cayenne pepper, olive oil and mixed it with half of the jelly(or whatever amount you desire) in a separate container to grease my scalp, should not be too runny. Trust me it really leaves your scalp feeling refreshed, and you will feel the burning sensation on your scalp which is done by the cayenne pepper, it opens up your pores so that the olive oil and jelly can do their job.Hopefully i was of help to someone today :).
Lovelyanneka, your nails are beautiful (your hair is SUPERB)! I think your regimen is great because you seem so happy with your hair progress. It's working for you! Keep up the good work and sharing your wonderful tips! I'm subbing!
We love u! My mom and I watched your video and we think you're great! My mom said that you are just beautiful. Keep the video's coming. My mom's hair is like a 4b/c and mine is like a 4a. Any tips for those hair types? We are experiencing breakage/split ends. Any tips to defeat these hair monsters?
I still use Dr. Bronner's but the trick is to dilute it. I use a small Dr. Bronner's bottle, fill it about 1/2 inch with soap and then fill the bottle 3/4 of the way with water. Does the job, doesn't strip my hair (in fact my hair is nice and soft) and your soap will last forever. Been using it this way for several years.
Your hair is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. I love the texture and fullness, but it's still in the shortish range. It's not long yet. So, was it cut low-low before, and do you have any before pictures? Anyway, thanks for posting! Be Blessed.
Anneka, thank you for always being honest and forthcoming. You have, by far, the best videos out here. You make it fun to do what's best for your hair and as one who is just getting into the game, I appreciate that! I haven't viewed your makeup videos yet, but I intend to. I just followed you on instagram. I'll be checking them out soon. Thanks again for doing a wonderful job!
My last perm was in January 2013. I just started to twist my hair to start transitioning. I love my new twist outs. I have about 3 inches of new growth. How did you get your hair to grow fast or healthy after your big chop? I want to chop in 2 or 3 months. I have a good curl pattern so far. Thanks for your help.
Ok I will thank you, love your channel. Iv already bought the clay for my hair (upon watching your video), will have a deeper look for the shea butter. I want to move to NY next year. Hope its great out there x.
Hello and Happy New Year Anneka. I have been natural for 11/2 year. am also living pharmaceutical free lifestyle. The yogurt conditioner will be the first thing I try. I already use Apple cider vinegar but will try on hair. thanks again. keep up the good work. I will be watching. #longlife #healthylife #beautiful me
Your hair is BEAUTIFUL. I BC 4 mos. ago and my hair is short to med length. I use as i am leave in, various oils. It did well in beginning. I've tried shae moisture products, but my hair looks dry and lacks moisture. Plz give me a pro. list and regimen to help growth, mois and shine. Thank you. Love my hair I want to give it the best care.
Love your videos. Thank you for these tips! I just reached my one year natural anniversary (yay!) and my hair's growing slowly but surely. I'm definitely going to incorporate some of your suggestions, especially the yogurt. :-) And for the record, I know some have spoken about the volume on this video but I can, and could, hear you very well...on my broken down laptop and on my brand new one. The volume, for me, is just fine.
Thanks so Anneka. I'm so inspired by you..... I'm going to keep to ur advice on my hair journey. But I'm worst I don't like drinking water also and it dries out my hair and lips. I pray I start drinking water.lol. Thanks again.
You're great. I love your tips. Very soothing to listen to and reassuring. The only thing I haven't tried is the vinegar cleanse and the hair mask. I'm actually glad you didn't have a loud shocking channel and your makeup is gorg
I am sorry if you have answered this already but what do you wash your hair with? I have created my own shampoo with oils and juices but wanted to know what you have used? I try to stay away from chemical shampoos because of detergents. Thank you! Great work!
I felt like we were buddies, lol. I just love your presentation. I will be implementing all of what you said. Trader Joe's is one my my all time favorite places next to shopping at Walmart, lol. I have heard so much about biotin but keep forgetting about purchasing it but as soon as I get paid I will go out an buy some. Thank you so much for doing this, you are helping us ladies feel great as we maintain our mane. Keep the videos coming. Looking forward to your 2013 videos. :)
Thanks for the video... Great products... Just a little advice: You need to explain when and how you use each item. Versus just saying they all add moisture and are great for your hair... We know that part... Now tell us When to use the yogurt... How you use it, when you use... do you alternate between the protein of the yogurt conditioner alternate weeks with the tressemme conditioner... etc... But you got it going on girly!!! I'm getting my shopping list 2gether... Thanks again... U r gorgeous
Hey @lovelyanneka i really enjoyed your video first of all! :) I have been wearing my natural hair out for a year now and I noticed that it wasnt growin at all, so Im gonna do a semi big chop on it to give it a fresh start because I noticed that it has some bad breakage. But I was wondering about one thing in this video..the honey, do you leave it in your hair or do you rinse it out after a certain length of time?
Mainly natural things.... I've been using all natural things on my hair and my hair loves 'em! :) My hair's soft, healthy and growing beautifully. Planning on growing out about 5-6 inches before June 2013. I'm so wearing my hair out in it's natural state during my graduation! :)
First of all, I thank you for sharing what worked for you. We appreciate your time! Secondly, I do agree that the volume could be louder. I really tried to listen for the steps that I needed to take with the products you introduced. You mentioned using it after a wash. So, do you just apply all of them...one after the other....and then wash them all out? Please forgive me if you did discuss the steps and I missed it. Thanks again!
Girl I am really enjoying you videos, have you done the one on making your flaxseed gel yet? I couldn find it..(i have seen plenty of others. even made my own, but i get the flakes or sum! Is that commom?
can you record your videos louder in the future? thxs!
Right cause I had to just watch but couldn't hear her at all!!
+Nova Jean pokwkkw

I am a licensed cosmetologist and you are absolutely correct about all of these products! I use them all on my hair as well as my natural clients! Thanks for sharing!! Love this video.!!!
Thank you. Could you please turn up the volume on your end for future tapings?
+Margo Locust-Fuentes I definetly will love

I don't use Apple cider vinegar. It took my hair out. Now I buy cleansing products.
Thank you so much. I love to see vids of women helping other women hair issues with out self promotion or pushing products. Ur offering insight and do it yourself advice and this is why I felt the need to say thank you. Beautiful hair
Hey, My daughter's hair does not seem to grow. I do use all your products for deep conditioning and hot oil treatment. What do i do to help her?
her hair will never stop growing. especially when they are young. focus on nourishing her hair from the inside. which mean making sure to give her food such as egg, avocado, fruits and vegetables that are loaded with vitamin and minerals that help you hair your hair grow. or a kid multivitamin. the combination of hair products and nourishing the inside of oir body help the hair to grow healthy and fast.
Thanks love. What is the best way of maintaing and promoting natural hair growth? Please teach me, maybe i go wrong somewhere.
Namakando Mwangala
It's not just nourishing her hair but it's also of what she eats. Remember hair is made out of protein. So its very important for her to eat healthy like fruits and vegetables. Have protein in her diet. Take multivitamin pills. Drink plenty of water. Or she can take hair growing vitamin that they sell at your local store.

You're great. I love your tips. Very soothing to listen to and reassuring. The only thing I haven't tried is the vinegar cleanse and the hair mask. I'm actually glad you didn't have a loud shocking channel and your makeup is gorg
i believe you. your skin hair and eyes are bright. keep up the good work
Your hair is beautiful. Especially your edges. What type of gel do you use on your edges?
Excellent tips. Thanks for reminding me to restock some of the products you showed in this vid. God bless, curlfriend!
I am sorry if you have answered this already but what do you wash your hair with? I have created my own shampoo with oils and juices but wanted to know what you have used? I try to stay away from chemical shampoos because of detergents. Thank you! Great work!
I enjoyed your video and I will definitely be using these things for my hair.

I had to follow you! I love your techniques. Thx for sharing! 💚
I use ACV for mine & my daughter's hair. But, we only use Raw ACV with mother. It's great, I love it!!!
Oh, I found your other video about the honey and yogurt. Thanks so much. Your information is very helpful.
I must say your mascara is DAZZLING!! Nice job I might try that in the future
Mainly natural things....
I've been using all natural things on my hair and my hair loves 'em! :) My hair's soft, healthy and growing beautifully.
Planning on growing out about 5-6 inches before June 2013. I'm so wearing my hair out in it's natural state during my graduation! :)
Thanks for sharing your secrets...love your hair!
Hi i really love your hair type. I would love my hair to be like that too... will i have the same curly texture if i used the products that u use?
First of all, I thank you for sharing what worked for you. We appreciate your time! Secondly, I do agree that the volume could be louder. I really tried to listen for the steps that I needed to take with the products you introduced. You mentioned using it after a wash. So, do you just apply all of them...one after the other....and then wash them all out? Please forgive me if you did discuss the steps and I missed it. Thanks again!
Wow, i love ur hair. When does one use the vinegar, is it before or after conditioning once hair?
Oh my gosh your makeup is beautiful and your skin is beautiful what products to use on your face?
