Yep!! Been following Teddy for nearly five years now and this is my favorite song on the album! Dare I say this is the best debut album since 1976 when Boston burst on the scene! So impressed with the writing, the arrangements, the mature nature of the subject matter…..absolutely brilliant!!
In 2074 this song will still be giving people Chills! I fully agree with your analysis & comparison. Because he spans so many genres, I think he'll have an easier time than Boston, writing follow-up albums. But should this turn out to be his signature song, then what a signature song it is!

He just did many, very successful, concerts in Europe. I watched a whole bunch of his performances. From what I saw, he always closes with this Banger. At early gigs he sounded as silky as on the record, others were more raspy. He might have to tone it down a bit, on stage. He gives his all, everytime, every gig. I would not be pleased if he had to pay for his succes with vocal damage ...
