  • With the acronym CBX, the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer has put on sale numerous motorcycle models since 1978. The Honda CBX are sports street bikes, which due to their characteristics fit between the Honda CBF and the Honda CBR. The engines are all in line configuration but with the number of cylinders reaching up to the 1000 cm³ cylinder. The latter in particular, in addition to being the first to use the acronym CBX, was the one most widely publicized at the time of the presentation, putting it in direct competition with the only other production model with a 6-cylinder engine, the Benelli Sei. Also with regard to the aesthetic presentation the differences were considerable; from the first models lacking aerodynamic protections that could be defined as "naked", it was passed, for the following models, also to the versions provided with fairing, recognizable mostly by the abbreviation "F".
