- Ja Morant will be back before we know it and the NBA should be terrified. The Grizzlies were the 2-seed in the West before Ja’s career took a turn for the worst and when he comes back the team will be even stronger. This is a look at which franchise is most at risk when Memphis is back at full strength.
Ja is a classic example as to why character matters just as much as talent and work ethic does.

Injuries affecting Ja were obvious from the start, I understand playing with heart and excitement but the way he attacks the rim is dangerous, he always has scary landings , he should concentrate on putting on Abit more muscle to easily absorb the impact from defenders so he can have a controlled landing position after his finishes otherwise he is Rose 2.0

So yes Ja might have scored 27 in the handful of games he played this season, but he would have scored 30+ with Steven on the floor (based on the statistics we have available).
Morant is an electrifying player. Reminds me alot of Rose. I hope he get himself together and stay away from trouble - because as a player he is good and exciting.

This is really an exciting but scary era of basketball. Every team, top to bottom, is full of very talented and skilled players. Even the bad teams have great young pieces that just lack some experience and maturation. Most of them growing on the same timeline destined to go head to head. The scary part is some of these teams, although extremely talented, will HAVE to miss the Playoffs.. There's only 8 spots(per conference). And just imagine the games! These teams will be scoring 170 a night at in no time at the rate we are going and SOMEONE has to lose. It's going to be weird and sad to see some great players miss the playoffs and most likely due to age.

Another thing to consider is that I believe Memphis owns Golden States first this year. So depending on where that pick is, a trade for more reinforcements could be in their future.
We traded the Warriors pick last summer to the Celtics to acquire Marcus Smart

Ja didn’t go anywhere. He just got in trouble and was hurt this season. He’s the most popular young player in the league hands down. NBA is honestly boring without him. Walking highlight reel. Grizz were (and still are) the up and coming young team in the NBA way before OKC or the Timberwolves.
