I still backed it, but.. I thought the new Cthulu death may die should have had some new standard abilities to mix around rather than the same ones with the only distinguishing thing about investigators being their unique ability.
I don't think you realise how popular Ark Nova still is, it's overall rank 4 on bgg and for a lot of people, myself included, Earth was underwhelming as heck, felt very flat as an experience. I've played it at least a dozen times in the last two years, will be picking up those new maps for sure, recently finished trying all the maps.
Really did not like Earth. Just felt completely unfulfilling to go through the motions. We play Ark Nova about 3 times a year. I really like the new player action cards from the expansion. The meeples are fun too 😂
Chris, what game were you referring to at 3:23 that you had sold? I tried remembering what the name of it was when you said you mentioned it in a past recent video.
Ark Nova, Love it! I have taught it to several people that enjoy it too... It seems the icons on the cards is the difficult part of the game not the mechanics. But dang do i love this game...Give me more maps! Yes Please.
I picked up CDMD 3, 4, and Ithaqua at retail last week. Didn’t need it, but happy to have it and excited to dive in. Have a scenario set up that I’m ready to dive into this week. Can’t wait.
Do 3 and 4 add anything more to the game or is more of the same. This is what is keeping me from purchasing Season 3 or 4 is that it is just more scenarios and miniatures but not much new to make it more interesting.
@@SamBalducci it seems there’s a few additional things (relics, can add in some more monsters, etc.), but my feeling is it’s mainly more of the same, which I’m fine with and will make room in my collection for. More investigators and a few more big baddies is probably the main draw.
I love Return to Dark Tower, it's a top 5 game for me. I have the first expansion and enjoy it. That being said, I don't see any reason for even more content because there's so much in this game already. I won't be getting this expansion and I'll still love and play Return to Dark Tower just as much (with some money in my wallet).
The only one of this set that I've considered picking up is Mistwind. I skipped the KS because the >$100 price was too much for me. If it was $60 I'd grab it immediately. At $70 I'd think about it. The lowest (only) retail price I've seen is $85 so I'm holding off for now.
I got the new Cthulhu set and season 4 box for about $100 less than if I got it during Kickstarter. Yeah I don't have the stretch goal box but hopefully I can pick that up later for around what I saved and I don't have to wait who knows how long lol.
“You haven’t even played Marine Worlds yet.” I feel targeted. Regarding Nusfjord I have to push back a bit. The original/base game was out of print forever (still is to my knowledge) and was really expensive, like $100+. May come down a bit now but still, the Big Box was cheaper when it launched and still only has a slighter higher MSRP. Also the “expansions” aren’t really expansions in the typical sense, they’re alternative decks you can use instead of one of the three that come with the base game. Every game you use building cards from one deck (unless you mix and match decks, but either way it’s a finite number of cards you’re using) so it’s really easy to incorporate the expansions, it’s just like how you would do it with Agricola’s card expansions. In both cases, expansions don’t add anything they just provide alternative cards to use at setup.
My favorite game I am happy someone else owns so I do not have to buy it is Kingdon Death Monster. I have had fun playing it, but I can never see myself owning it as I would never play it enough.
Hi Chris. This time you failed ... :) ... to talk me out of the Gaia Project expansion. :) I have 45+ Games offline (Solo Bgg Challenges) + 40 online at BGA plus several with friends at TTS. So i will definitly buy this 1st!!!! expansion for an 7 year old game i love. I bought the base game with wodden inlay at second market, so at least this time will say "thank you" to the developer with my wallet. Otherwise thanks for your work. Im sure you will help a lot of us with their copium (including yourself)
I completely agree with you about expansions being overpriced crap that should've been in the base game [if at all] I backed Stonespine Architects last year, and added on Cartographers for $25. I spent an extra $5 for the "Ambush Expansion" and it is literally just FOUR EXTRA CARDS THAT ARE EXACTLY THE SAME AS THE OTHERS, just a slightly different shape. No new rules, nothing original or interesting, just a slightly different polyomino shape. I'm pissed off!
People who have a lot of time to play board games do exist. Should they do something else with their life - perhaps. The author shouldn't assume that no one has timew to play a game longer than 2-3 hours.

lol. The whole point of this video went over your head.
I plan to pick up Undaunted Callisto 2200 around Xmas. I will play it against my Brother. 63 pages does not bother me. The meh AI makes me afraid to buy it. I like Nusjford Big Box but not sure if I want to buy it.
Yeah the undaunted Callisto solo does work but it is a little fiddly , having to check what the AI does and ugh the bullet points for the ai often have their own sub bullet points to go through . Overall I don’t think the AI is a terrible pain to go through but the slow down when it is the AI’s turn is noticeable. So if someone was to get the newest Callisto purely for solo , the upkeep , the brain space for the ai turns should be considered. That being said if you are buying Callisto for the multiplayer then yeah strong , strong recommendation, the multiplayer is very good.
I saw the 3 games from the thumbnail and realized I owned all of them and went "uh oh"

For Wilmot's Warehouse, meet Ship Show similar concept but different taste

I like 2vs2 team play in 878 Vikings

The chemo joke was a bit strange. Also ISS Vanguard misses you.
Have you lost the game settings ? The video looks bad again 😂
Paul's Black Forest tutorial bit is 8 mins and the rest is the playthrough.
Will you be reviewing Primal?
What game did you just sell?

No one in the UK has their multiverse pledges yet either… not just East coast USA,
The same is true for Germany…
@@An-Mei002not true, already got my pledge last week in germany

Do you have a top list for your games? Your favorite top 10 of all times?
Lol. Yes, Awakened Realms wrote the rule book for the English language.
Return To Dark Tower is amazing! If it’s not in your collection then you don’t know what you’re missing!
I'm here for the dive when yr ready.

So, what was the point?
We're still waiting in the UK too
