  • Here's the full painting process of the Great Jagras. This monster was included in the Ancient Forest box set.
    Citadel Colours : - Ceramite White, Mournfang Brown, Jokaero Orange, Averland Sunset, Caledor Sky, Mephiston Red, and Dark Green Game Colour. As for Oils I used Nuln Oil and Agrax Earthshade.
    If the video is going to fast (or too slow!), please play with YT's speed settings. Trying to cram hours of footage into short vid isn't simple hah :D But i'm trying to keep them under the 30 min mark. Here a big chunk of the vid was showing how I did the base.
    If you've got any questions, comment below :) .
    I'm aiming to cover all the monsters from Base Game and WildSpire Waste.
    So please like and subscribe if you're enjoying the content, more full painting process vids coming soon :)
    Please enjoy and happy Hunting! / Painting!

    Which monster shall I paint next? :D The Anjanath or Tobi-Kadachi?

      @jeronym894 Год назад +3

      Anjathan is cooler but in game you fight Tobi first . But you paint kulu before Jagras so who cares anyway....

      I actually don't mind which you do but would agree with the sentiment that they get painted in the order in which you run into them in the game. Looks great and subbed to see what's next.

    So cool! I really love the base though I'm curious is the base long term sustainable? Just worried about the smell and longevity when using dried herbs.

    • @SilenceInSpace
      @SilenceInSpace  4 месяца назад

      Thanks for your comment!! I haven’t had any problems with mine. If you use enough glue everything will remain solid and well stuck in place. Unless you drop the print ofc hehe then things will fall off. As for smell, I can still smell the herbs etc, but you have to dig your nose into the model xD other than that, all is good for the time being :)

    At about 2:30,after you've painted yellow onto the back and tail, you bring out a brush that doesn't look like it has paint and brush over those areas. What are you doing there?

    • @SilenceInSpace
      @SilenceInSpace  Год назад

      Hey Matt! - yes, well spotted! I first applied the paint, then I used a clean dry brush to fade the brushstrokes and spread the colour so it doesn’t pool in one area. I do this often to blend colours together

    @greenshell3889 Год назад +1

    hey! I was wondering what exactly did you mix to make the green for the belly, and stripes...Also would like to know what was that silver color you used at the top of the belly, and why you used it.

    • @SilenceInSpace
      @SilenceInSpace  Год назад +1

      For the belly and stripes I probably mixed some Dark Green Game colour with some black and slight hints of purple to get that dark forest green looking colour. And for the top of the belly I didn’t use any silver. I probably applied some Nuln oil or Earthshade to make his scales shine :)

  • @jeronym894

    I have a question , Do you know what tipe of wash ( dark, brown, light) should I use if I want to paint Black Dragon (Fatalis) ? PS amazing job!

    • @SilenceInSpace
      @SilenceInSpace  Год назад

      Thanks for your comment! :D - as for Fatalis, I’d mix it up, since Fatalis isn’t all black or brown, I’d only use black for its darkest most parts, so, creases, folds on its wings, arms, legs etc. Then Brown on the wings since the skin there is thinner, and a lighter wash at the front, so on his neck, belly, down to his tail and maybe tip of his wings where the skin might be torn. Remember it’s always easier to to go darker than lighter, so best approach is to build a nice gradient :) - I usually use Nuln Oil for darker shadows and Agrax Earthshade for a more lighter-natural look.

      Hey thanks for your comment! :D Sadly no :( it was way to pricey for me at the time. However I’ll be painting my way up to the wild spire waste. But who knows might buy the rest if I find them in the wild! - I’m also considering going all in for the iceborne expansion this time round, especially if people enjoy this content :)

    • @roshamjoepaints
      @roshamjoepaints Год назад

      @@SilenceInSpace Did you end up going all in for the Iceborne expansion? I splurged and got as many as I could because I'm a glutton for punishment but at least there's a year or two before more giant boxes show up. Side note as well, I think Steamforged is going to e selling the original game and expansions starting late July if I read the update correctly. Doubt there's the kickstarter exclusives but you might be able to get more of the original game monsters/hunters.
