Fancy beef stew, tastes amazing and is easy to do but impressive enough for any dinner party. Whats your go to recipe?

I had such a laugh with the first plating ... and then the rosemary 🌱 at the end 😹

Sorry, i had to! Someone was moaning that i dont do anything simple enough..... and the rosemary? Purely something for chefs to moan about a non-edible garnish. :)

Great lesson, thank you! Last week I made Fettuccine and cooked your tomato sauce. It was so delicious 👌

Sounds great! Also for future reference, in the description of the tomato sauce video are some variations that you can make with it. Well worth trying some out if you think the base recipe is good!

@@ChefBasicswithBaz Good hint, thank you! I made enough and have still 2 portions in the freezer. Will try some variations 😊 Tomorrow I make Alfredo, simple and just perfect (Yes, without cream haha)

Always a good idea to make extra when it comes to sauces, it means that you always have something to throw together a quick meal. I totally agree with you on the Alfredo, fantastic dish

I just pour the beef and sauce into the potato pot and stir, then eat the slop out of the pan. Cuz MURICA!

If i did a third plating that would certainly be it, swiftly followed by a running faceplant into the slop. Real fancy stuff.

So I noticed that Julia Child has cooks pat the meat with paper towels prior to putting in the pan. Do you not do that, or was it just done not on camera? [I don't know a lot, I have just seen Julie & Lulia like 17 times]

No need, just make sure that the meat comes out of the fridge an hour before so it doesnt instantly cool down your pan. As long as the heat stays high then the meat will fry and not boil. If you are using frozen meat that has been defrosted then I would reccomend drying it first as it will release a lot of liquid while defrosting
