All flights with an infant should include 2 free pieces of luggage including car seat, pushchair, travel cot etc. This also should apply to children so you shoukd be able to take a car seat for George but check with your airline.
I would take formula if you're not sure on the milk out there. The best thing is to preorder it to boots at the airport you fly from. Make sure you order it to the boots on the airside (ie. After security) then you can carry it on as duty free and it doesnt need to be included in your luggage allowance as its very bulky!

Thank you, I’ve looked it up with our airline and you’re completely right 🥰 yay!

Not sure who you’re travelling with but anyone we’ve travelled with we’ve always been allowed 2 additional baby items in the hold which include buggy, car seat, travel cot, AND a baby changing bag on board even when they don’t have their own seat. Worth checking! Have the best time, and if you don’t use any of the toys on the flights, it’s perfect for dinners out too! We did Florida when our toddler was 2 and to be quite honest, between iPad, snacks and a pack of dinosaurs like you have, he was pretty happy! 😂

All though I can not speak for a toddler, we just did a flight with our baby who was 9 months to Australia, and I will say this was probably a good time to fly with him. Find the other babies on the plane and let them play together. We did this and our little guy actually had a really fun time. It is not nearly as scary as it seems. You guys will have such a nice holiday and it is well worth the hassle of getting them there x

You can definitely take the car seats for free. Make sure you get bags to put them in though, otherwise they will get all dirty.

    You’ll have an amazing holiday!
A few tips from flights I’ve done:
    - Aim to take 1 new entertainment thing out every 20-30mins to make sure the things seem new & exciting and last for the whole flight
    - Busy board is a great idea! Our little boy loves his still at nearly 3
    - Maybe keep the little memory tiles & dinosaurs for the holiday itself & not the plane (or will end up scrabbling on the floor to try to get them back whenever the tray table gets knocked)
    - Good simple things for Halle on the plane: post-it notes (our baby spent aaages just sticking them to the seat in front!), little gel stickers & suction toys you can stick to the plane window
    - Bring more snacks than you think you’ll ever need - box of little cheerios / raisins etc that will take a while to eat individually & occupy some time
    - Make sure you bring a change of clothes for you & your husband in your hand luggage in case of 💩 or 🤢
    - Bring something the kids can suck on during take off & landing to help with their ears hurting (dummy, lollipop..) & a dummy clip is helpful if Halle uses dummies.. again to avoid things falling on the gross floor
    - Have some calpol with you in hand luggage just in case it’s needed on the plane. Baby piriton before the flight can help if they get stuffy noses from the air con on board (drowsy version is a winner too 🤣)
    - Baby carrier for when you’re getting off plane / security etc before you can pick up your pushchair
Have the best time. It definitely won’t be a relaxing holiday, but there will be some amazing times too and you’ll look back & be so glad you made the effort!

    • @sionroberts569
      @sionroberts569 Месяц назад

Also, don’t know if you’re staying in a hotel / apartment etc but bring or buy out there some breakfast stuff so the kids can eat in the room. It’s one thing having to get kids to behave in a restaurant but doing it 3 times a day can be stressful….!
Oh and make sure you take shifts so you and your partner at least get the odd hour here and there to just chill out in the sun!

  • @demi3991

Car seats, travel cots and prams are all free and you usually get 2 items per child! I highly recommend taking a car seat, you have to get a bag for them but they are fab as you can hide a lot of extra bits in there! The car seat is where I put all my nappies, wipes and adhoc bits! They’re a lifesaver. It also gives me peace of mind as I know the history of the car seat safety ☺️ also grecommend a snack tray with compartments for George & Halle to have as that keeps my little boy occupied for ages on a flight! If flying from Gatwick, there is soft play on Level 1 which is great to knacker them out so they’re happy to chill for a bit on the plane! Best of luck, you’ll be fine 🫶🏻

I would recommend taking your own car seats, like you said it ensures you know they are of a high quality and will ensure that you don't get stuck and unable to go anywhere.
My partner and I went on holiday recently to Malta and we organized to hire a car from the airport once we arrived and requested a car seat. Once we arrived they simply said they didn't have any available so we were stuck getting public transport to the hotel before figuring out what to do for the rest of the holiday. It was a little stressful but ended up ok as they had a car service like Uber that you could select that car seats are required and they ended up helping us when we didn't fancy the bus :) Every place would be so so different though, so worth checking ❤

Save everything other than the ipad, colouring/drawing and stickers for the holiday rather than the flight! The flight is so exciting as it is, they dont need much! Youll also probably find having lots of little bits (esp the memory game and figurines) way too stressful on a cramped plane!

Deffently get sun hats with the back piece to sheild neck as caps are pretty useless, especially as you going in extreme heat.
100% a buggy fan, the window spinners are good for babies, also take dioralite (spelt wrong) not sure what yr kids drink, but squash is never available in these countries, so take the mini concentrated juice thingys,!

I’m not gonna lie, having been to Morocco, not the best choice for a baby 😅 I always went Spain/france/italy when my ones were babies
You will not get milk that will upset their stomach
    You cannot drink the water
    So bring pre made formula
I’ve been several times and always had an upset belly aswell as the kids, as we cannot handle their food hygiene ❤️‍🩹
So bring lots of snacks for your son

We have never taken the car seat but have seen others take it. We've either had a lift at the other side with car seat borrowed from family there or travelled in taxi with baby on knee. My travel anxiety is insane since having a baby a month ago so I think next time I'll defo take a car seat. ( Our last hol was Turkey and the taxi drivers we had were a bit wild!!)
Like someone else said airlines usually let you take 2 items so pram and car seat should work ? We usually cheat and load the bottom of the pram with nappies and wipes/ other bulky items like blow up toddler swim chair, then we wrap it with black wrap as we walk to the plane. They don't usually check it !
Just from experience stickers have been a nightmare for us if they're not easy to peel off cos my toddler stuck them all over the plane and they ended up on the floor. Just a heads up!!
Only other advice I've got is for Halle maybe make sure she has a bottle / dummy when setting off and landing for ear issues.
    Have a fab time !

You’ve got this 😘 such a fab mum xxx

Generally it’s not recommended to use car seats supplied by travel companies as they’re often poorly fitting/not the right age and you have no idea how they’ve been looked after or if they’ve been in a crash or have expired etc… as not everyone knows that car seats expire after 5-10 years depending on the brand. It would be safer to take yours protected by a box or car seat bag and padded out with nappies etc… you get two free pieces when travelling with a child and oversized luggage is treated differently and thrown around less so as long as they’re protected they should be fine. If you don’t have suitable seats to bring then car seat safety uk on fb is great at suggesting safe and small/light travel seats depending on age/weight/height of kids. Enjoy your holiday!

For hallie - the tube things that stretch and close, my son loved opening and closing them. Also any highchair toys that u can stick down. I also brought sensory type toys for my son when we went - he was just over 2 though
For george - the search and find books. There is a spiderman one we are taking this year. We have a bluey one that has been great for lunches, etc out. I also think you get travel magnetix tiles (i might have made that up)!
I also took the aquadoodle for the hotel room and some cheap pool toys (one was an inflatable basketball hoop and ball). He ended up playing with them in the room too 😅

You should get two extra pieces of luggage per child when flying with infants and children. My husband and I went to Antigua earlier in the year with a 3 year old and a 7 month old and we took the pushchair, a travel cot and a car seat for each of them as we were told it would be safer to bring our own than use the hire ones out there. We had to use the roof box to get to the airport to fit everything in! And getting to check in with everything and two children was interesting... 🙈
Hopefully the private hire company can provide car seats, but if not, either pack them into their original boxes, or wrap them up in a lot of bubble wrap to protect them (and pack the duct tape into hold luggage because ours was confiscated at security!). We also packed lots of nappies into the infant carrier before wrapping it in bubble wrap to save space in the suitcases.
I recommend a Trunki or similar for George. We had one for our 3 year old and let him pack in it what he wanted for the plane. It was really useful for getting around the airport too as it meant he didn't keep asking to be carried. For Halle, I personally would pack a lot of ready made toddler formula (and a couple or so bottles in hand luggage for the plane - they do allow it, but will need to scan it in a special machine at security), or bring powder and try to get to a shop to buy some bottled water which you can boil to make formula. I'm not sure I'd want to use local cows milk if I'm honest, but I'd definitely advise against using the tap water even once boiled. When in Antigua, we purchased a lot of distilled/purified water and boiled this to make formula for our daughter.
Good luck! I'm looking forward to the vlogs! xx

Try and keep some plane toys for George for the way home as well so he has something new on the way back too, I also find planes are easier than long car journeys you can actually help entertain them and sit next to them and my little boy who’s the same age as George was just so excited to be on a plane this time when we went he wasn’t even bothered about his toys for ages 😂 have fun it’s not as stressful as you think it will be! We went this time with my 4 month old (Hallie) and my just turned 4 year old son and it was absolutely fine! Hope that’s reassuring 🫶🏻

With regards to car seat and transfers, any child under 2 I believe doesn’t have a seat on the plane nor transfer. Therefore they’d be sitting on your lap with the seat belt extension. The seat belts on the transfers are extendable too x

My baby is now 13 months and we have already flown few times. Check with the airline but normally you are allowed to take 2 pieces of baby equipment ( buggy and a car seat). For a baby you are allowed to take milk, water, juice, food, whatever baby needs, they will check at security but the bottle size doesn't matter. I always try to get the seat as close to the front as possible.
If you are taking a car seat, I would suggest to get a car seat bag( there are plenty on Amazon)
I had booked a car twice with the car seat, once i got a brand new car seat and once I was given ancient car seat, probably one of the first ones made. It was horrible, my baby hates car rides( likes to be on the plane) and that seat was so uncomfortable... We had booked transfers requesting car seat, it was ok, only once we had an issue, as the day before they asked what size to bring a car seat, up to 9 months or 9months +. My baby was 11 months at that time, we asked for 9+ and they arrived with a tiny up to 9 months. We were going to the airport, so there were no time to exchange, i had to squeeze my baby in that small seat( luckily airport wasn't far). So from having such a mixed feelings with the seat, i always take mine, just put in the bag and all is fine. And buggy you will have until boarding to aircraft.
Also when we went to Mallorca i took few toys for baby, he barely played with any. Most of the time he was in the pool or sea, we were only sleeping in the room. Morroco will be hot, not as hot as Mallorca was, but my son got cold in the pool pretty quickly. Luckily i had wet suits( one full wet suit, another just like a vest) And that was best item for him, as it kept him warm, and he didn't want to leave the pool.
I hope you will find something useful from my experience and i hope it makes some sense. 😊😊

You typically get two pieces of child items free which each child - out of a certain seat, buggy and a cot.
Also window spinners!! They’re great for the plane, transfer and the hotel room. My 3 year old loves them but a younger child would too.
Also when we last went away, we were able to get full fat milk behind the bar (I guess they use it for coffee etc) and just got it when we needed it rather than faffing with formula

      Oh and !!
A snack tray thing - I got an earring case from Shein with all the compartments. Great for the plane and also really flat pack which we love.
This time I’m also going to make some puzzles! Going to get a few family pictures, laminate them and then cut them into shapes. These will be flat for the plane and also interesting because they’re pictures of us!
And lastly Primark had some ‘Lego’ pouches reduced to £1. I got a couple of cars for my boy to build and then play with on holiday. I’ll keep the pouches and deconstruct the cars to see if he can build them again on the way home!
      Hope that helps x

On the plane every parent have to manage one kid. Ash with George and you can manage only other baby. The best thing ever will be that both of children could sleep on the plane. Otherwise it is ok to play but I think you are bringing too much stuff for playing. But do what u feel confident and follow mum instincts always during the trip. Bring with you formula powder milk (less space) and buy only bootle water on the hotel and that’s it!

Hi Shan, if Hallie is in full fat milk you can just take the bottles and ask at the bar in your resort to fill the bottles up, this is what we did when we went to turkey and fueterventure and my daughter still had cows milk in a bottle. For the plane you can fill bottles with milk and they do allow them through security, you will prob go through like a family bit and they will testvthe outside of the bottle using a machine (i think its like uv).
In Morocco you cant drink their tap water but the resort your staying at will most likely provide plenty of bottled water free of charge, we havent been there with our daughter but did go to egypt recently, we have always picked up water bottles up everytime we go to the bar and make sure we keep a stock in the fridge in our room.
Things to entertain the kids on a plane, colouring, get stickers to put in back of chairs, have a few kids shows on a tablet they can watch. Depending on your flight time let george run off some steam at the airport before hand, maybe give him a treasure/hunt (take his prize with you rather then buying something there), some things you always see at an airport. I e a Paddington bear teddy, a giant m&m things like that x

Morocco has everything but I’d take long life cows milk. Even for the plane, you can take it through security too. I took 2 1l , last 3 days once open and don’t need to be refrigerated until youve opened it. Usually if your flight give food they tend to have small milk cartons ( Turkish airline give 200ml milk cartons with straws). Also with the milk the hotel will give you some, in the evenings I would go down to the bar and they would take out milk and heat it for me. They are very good with kids.
