A good reaction I think would be for Lay the Warriors to Rest. It's a more personal touch on the losses of war, how it affects the common person and the brothers in arms of the fallen. It's not as grand as the massive graveyard of Arlington, or the Fallen of WW2, but it has more depth IMO, and can convey the pain that war inflicts on the survivors and next of kin.
