There are the haves and the have not's ... The haves that have experienced revival and the have not's that have not experienced revival ... 2 weeks for me at Brownsville November 1996. God is good let revival mean a fresh start for our faith in Him.
As I watch this I see an odd looking man standing on the staircase at 1: 45 into the video. He is dressed in white there seems to be something around his brow and he is looking down over the congregation. The details are fuzzy but it almost looks like Jesus standing there or some kind of angelic figure. Maybe nothing but it stood out to me.
There is a healing anointing on this. If you have a loved one in ICU or bedfast with affliction, play this over and over around their bed. The healing anointing will wash over them and saturate them. This will minister to them, Spirit, Soul and Body. God does not want anyone to be sick, afflicted or tormented. Acts 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. Sickness and disease are not from God it is oppression from the devil. 3 John 1:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. John 10:10 The thief (Satan)cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I (Jesus) am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. Sickness, disease, torment, depression, oppression, poverty and confusion are not abundant life. God loves you. His plans for you and your future are good plans. Don't ever doubt this.
Repetitive, emotional music is neither right nor wrong, but don't call it anointed. Setting a mood is not equal to the presence of God. The presence of God is promised when 2 or more gather in his name. Period. Ignorant, shallow theology makes claims that somehow this is more of God than when we sang the old hymns that are rich in faith and deep in meaning and bold in proclaiming the mighty works of God. This 8 minutes did not actually tell me the truth that can set us free. It talked about it, but never actually said it.
If it's not dipped into the presence of God, then how did over 100,000 people get saved at such a revival? Come on! Put away your dispensational evangelical hat, and embrace that God is moving outside of denominational walls
You had to be there. The presence was like a heavy cloud and your body felt weightless. Your attention was on the Lord and the Holy Spirit was doing a work. This was a unique time and so beautiful to connect with our Lord. Words don't express the beauty of being there. My husband and I were worship leaders who attended and this was so good. We were changed for sure and viewing this years later we still feel the 'anointing'!
@@pollyg4160 : Amen! A group of the members of the church I attended at that time flew to Pensacola, and the Lord's presence was strongly there. No one returned to NY the same, including the pastor of the church. I am not easily moved by emotionalism. God's presence was real, with souls coming to Christ; baptisms; calls to ministry. healings, deliverances. Also, a Bible School was birthed out of this revival. On my return home, I was led of the Holy Spirit to share this revival information with a local church, and the pastor of that church finally went. That pastor came back revived and changed. God's presence and His anointing made such a difference in my life, that it even had such a positive effect on the Prison Ministry I was serving in at the time. I came back and began to lay hands on inmates, and the Lord released a revival in the lives of the men in my Bible group. It is important for every believer in Christ to discern the difference between emotionalism and a true Presence of the Lord. Polly, like you said "you had to be there." My attention was not on Steven Hill the Evangelist, John Kilpatrick the Pastor or Lindell Cooley the worship leader, but on my Beloved Christ Jesus. I do thank the Lord God for the mighty move of the Holy Spirit at the revival. It is 2022 and I have not forgotten how the Lord sovereignly moved in my time at the Brownsville Revival.
It's a CLIP, not the whole service. You may remember the cherubim say " HOLY HOLY HOLY" & no more for eternity, & there are times when the Spirit leads us to pause for a few minutes. It's not every service or every song, either. But this was obviously a move of the spirit, & criticism is unwise. Maybe just skip if you don't bear witness with it, don't grieve the Holy Ghost.
