highly agree! He was absolutely abhorrent in his actions against his wife but he wasn't evil, he had so much humanity and hurt in him. His punishment in losing his wife would have been enough. I wanted to see him break the toxic cycles of his family and be a father to his son. Absolutely heart-breaking ending but it did make his character very memorable.
