Cool project. I'm going to change the top on my Takemine soon so it's timely. Changing it from Western red cedar to redwood. Really enjoying your vids.
Good job getting the back off. I X braced an H-165 and the back really splintered badly coming off. I had to splice in some new mahogany putting it back together. But in the end it came out great and really does sound wonderful. I have two Martin 15 all mahogany guitars but end up playing the Harmony more.
Take the back off a guitar is definitely not something I would ever want to attempt. You did a great job. I think I would be paralyzed by worry that I was going to permanently ruin the guitar. Nicely done.
