Some people are so quick to judge that they don't even see the massive benefits this drill can bring. Dribbling in a tight area with short steps increases your agility because this means you have to move your planted foot as many times as you can and also as fast as you can to touch the ball. Also by using the ladder you can see how far your touches go and thus predict the distance in dribbling in games against the opponents. If you think this video is boring and nonbeneficial maybe you don't even know how to dribble the soccer ball. I think this video is beautiful! I'll use it on my session! Cheers!

Plus, if you are looking for a pure agility drill this is a agility drill with the ball and thus increases your agility with the ball. 👍

There's a benefit to exposing a soccer athlete to new motor patterns.

A huge benefit! Most importantly, new motor patterns may help minimize injury.

you didn't need a speed ladder for most of those drills.

Correct, you don't need a ladder but it will help with pattern recognition, and it helps kids stay motivated and focused.

It is if you are just starting out. Does agility have a predetermined speed? Agility can be used for both mental and physical skills in speed and grace. Do the workout and you will notice more agility and grace the next time you play.

The definition of Agility is: To move quickly and easily. Before you can move quickly you must be able to move easily. We have gotten conditioned to see and do everting in the extreme! 9 out of 10 athletes don't have proper form and if you start them out with ballistic type movements such as the video you sent me, then you increase your chances of injury.

I watched the video you posted, but try teaching that to a beginner. You must learn proper movement patterns before you throw your body into such extreme exercises.
