Right you are!!! And we had a very good time and lots of laughs after the show. She will never ever leave a concert again she vowed!!! She must be a lot of fun as a sister.
Nuriia Fmz, In some of the sketches (I saw it several times) he did kiss the ring, in a couple he did not. I cannot remember if he did in this one. They did what they wanted to do that mment. GREAT Performers!!!!
IMHO i strongly dislike this sketch about mafia Ignazio does in America. It offends his roots and all our people. There are things you can joke about and things you just can't. Mafia is not that exotic thrill you see in American movies you know, it's a wicked counter-state that kills and enslaves people. Obviously he doesn't do it it Italy, it would be a national scandal apart from the fact that nobody would find it funny. Piero seems to dislike it as well. I loved when he said "I'm Sicilian I cannot kiss your ring!"
+E Lisa I am so sorry you feel that way. However, at the concert we Americans thought he was actually making fun of "The Godfather" movie. We thought it was a joke considering it to be a dialectal pun - comparable to our joking about our native "Southern" accent with drawn-out vowels and few diphthongs. My southern cousins laugh at my northern accent and vice versa. Surely, if it is offensive in Italy, the guys' producers would not allow such a skit there. Clearly, being Italians, they create skits appealing to the humor of the country in which they are performing. We Americans identified it with the fictional Godfather movie and the American actor Marlon Brando. Hilarious for us. Please do not be offended considering it a slur to Italy. Where it was performed, it was a joke about a movie. Hope you understand the context. (Also I had no idea Piero's comment about being Sicilian meant anything more than something like the fact I am a "Northerner" here and do not like some "Southern" customs. Some Southern customs I very much like - such as a child always calling an adult "MISS Sharon," or MISTER Bob," or "MISTER Ignazio," or MISS Caterina" when speaking with them. Thank you for your comment. I now suspect there is a mafia! Such a thing is firmly denied here by Italian Americans. (And by the way, Ignazio has a perfect imitation of Marlon Brando from the movie!!!! Very funny!!!!)
+E Lisa I don't know what to think - I am Sicilian and I do get tired of the mafia thing - it gets boring and on my nerves - I love Ignazio and the boys but I don't know about this skit- maybe they should do something else - I suppose they will eventually grow tired of it as they get older!!!!! I am also a way big big fan of the boys !!!!
