well im 45.....and remember getting this as an ep...thick cardboard cover...as a 15 year old "rockabilly"...this blew my mind!!!!...loved the meteors up until mark and nigel left...then they went shite!!!!
we agree.....the "new" psychobilly is utter shite...just cos they have a double bass they think there psychobilly....and they think cos they play at 100mph that makes them "psycho".....to me "psychobilly" is just rockabilly but with dark/sick/twisted lyrics.....the originals got it right....ricochets,meteors (up until nigel and mark left),guana batz,sharks...to name but a few.....i was a 15 year old rockabilly in 1981....heard the meteors and the rest is history!!!!....meteors now are shit tho!,
tottaly agree!!!...nigel was always the better songwriter....all his tracks on the "in heaven" album are way ahead of fenechs......and lets not forget "radioactive kid"!!!!!.....ive been listening to "nigel lewis and the zorchmen"....."i know something" is in the pure meteors style......at least nigel has stayed true to the original sound...fenech just churns out "status quo" style shite nowadays
