Reminds me of my run in with PV.Everything the other day: I picked up a Reapers chest and immediately started getting chased by a 3 man brig, duked it out with them for a bit and started to run low on supplies, made a break into the wind to try and out run them and what do I see? a fellow slooper coming towards me, I kept going but he started to fire, so I broke left and hoped for a wind change...boy something did change alright, suddenly! The sea went Black in a Giant circle and I knew there was no coming back, I tried to turn and get out of the ink with the wind behind me sails, but alas escape was not my fate, for along came captain skelly with his cannons of hate. Sank promptly I did while viewing my sloop from the krakens grip, I wish ye all better luck and that ye give the Dutchman the slip.
Reminds me of the time i was doing ghost ships and got krakened in the boss ship’s way and gripped by the kraken as soon as i got runnover by the ghost ship haha.. good times 😁
I find in these sorts of situations that fire helps immensely. Lighting the cannons of a skeleton ship on fire kills any skeleton that attempts to use them for a while, leaving you free to repair, fire back or lure them into other ships. I've had many a skeleton ship battle where I don't get shot at once by them using that method. Combined with cursed cannonballs for the repairing skeletons (and for the cannoneers as well if you get it right) you can achieve the effect of a boarder without ever having one. People really underestimate the power of direct ship-to-ship combat.

Friend of mine and I had a moment like this when we were duo slooping when we were less than a week old to the game. We had been chased by a reaper sloop for roughly about 10 minutes. We were low on supplies and trying to scavenge from islands we sailed past. Eventually we got caught by a kraken, and during the kraken a meg spawned. On top of that one of the reapers from the sloop kept boarding us. The two of us, roughly 4 days into the game at that point, manage to eventually fend off the kraken, get away from the meg, and fend off the boarding attempts (In large part thanks to many of your vids). Now we just had a meg and the reapers still chasing off. We had no supplies at this point. We'd completely run dry and therefore couldnt do much else but bale and sail. But wait, it gets worse. Then two skeletal ships spawned on us; one Galleon, and one Sloop. We did everything we could to stay ahead of them, trying instead to get them to turn on the sloop, which the galleon thankfully did, but the sloop for some reason decided to stay on us. We tried slingshotting around a rock to get away from the group, but just as we were making our turn we both got struck by lighting and killed since we were both at low health. It was at this point that the server decided to take 20 years in loading us in, and by the time we'd respawned our ship had sunk. We're still not sure why the reaper had chased us because we had literally nothing. Just a lvl 1 emissary flag with 0 progress on it. We're a little over a week into the game now, myself with about 122 hours, and still joke about the day it took the server gods stepping to sink us.

I was winning the battle easily but also kind of toying with them, and the Shadowmaw was on my side. Then a skelly sloop attacked me, which was annoying but not a big issue. However, after that a skelly galleon appeared and focused me as well, at the worst time. I had the Reapers on one side and the skellies on the other, plus the sloop ramming me. 8 cannons were being fired at once, I immediately died from the cannonballs and sunk. I did go back to see the Reapers sink to the skellies as well, as I had exhausted their supplies, and "rescued" one of them in their rowboat with all their loot before I killed him and took it all. I felt like the guy from PotC: At World's End when the Black Pearl and the Flying Dutchman shred his ship.
Matthew Leafgreens so does PlayStation doesn’t mean you should cheap out on the easy prebuilt solution. What car have you ever seen stock put more power then something someone builds? Your carpet you move in with usually isn’t as nice what you would install long term.. the list could go on. Don’t cheap out Xbox is highly modably and is a computer itself in a smaller platform. It’s very upgradable too tho you ain’t gonna get a RTX 2080TI in it unless externally ran
Matthew Leafgreens not to mention consoles are prebuilt for load times so you not facing anything longer on a system then a underclass cpu or gpu would which most run

Still no loot come out of this and you could scuttle and then come back to the fort again , but as you said in old vids they can take your loot, your rage (in your case that doesn't count) but they can never take your experience , awesome video still no kraken though so not everything XD, BUT... you did awesome there, nice job!

Last night after me and my brother did some quest together and he got offline on the way to cash in at the merchant I got attacked by a skeleton galleon and a kraken
These are some of the best moments in SoT. You didn't actually gain anything from it; most loot would be lost or sunk by the time you find it> There's no XP increase, no gold, no cosmetic reward, no chicken dinner, just the glory that you survived.
I love this video.... Purely survival hahaha. Usually its pure sweat skill videos. This one was just straight survival 😂. Which of course is a skill in its self.
This reminds me of something that happened just yesterday. Me and my mate where duo slooping and we saw a ship at a skull fort. We waited for them to complete the fort and then we sunk them and got the loot. By the time we were about to set sail they had gotten pretty close to us and wanted their loot back and some revenge. We sailed away and away for like 20 min and then we bumped into 2 other ships, 2 man brig, duo sloop and the other duo sloop that was already on our tail. Whats wotse was that they were all in an alliance and well... we were doomed. We actually put up an awesome fight, running for about an hour before they finally boarded us and sunk us. However at one point we actually sunk the brig with the stronghold gunpowder barrel from the fort. Then the brig rejoined its alliance after respawning and our victory was short lived. Yeah they got the loot. Edit: This is a very brief telling of the event so if you have any questions (probably not) then just comment.

Same that happened to me but I was able to get away from the kraken and sold the chest and right after that a meg got me

I got Rare’d today too. We were doing innocent tall tales on a galleon and we got krakened and meg’d. Earlier we got skelly shipped.

how many materials do you need for an average player to do this?
It's always best to not leave outpost before having 50 of each, but them scout for rowboats and storage crates on your way to your destination

I once had a Kraken spawn on a ship nearby, kill them, we moved in, then the Megalodon spawned.
